"I had private lessons almost all my life," Zaera jutted in with a little smile at the word girlfriend, so someone else here was at least not indifferent into females, "So I'm always up to helping any of you learn to dance, or anything else you may not know. I would rather help the rest of you out before I get removed from the selection, than to leave you all to squander."

@Relsey-TheElder

Lillian smiled warmly at her son when he introduced himself, her eye's screamed, you will regret this, before melting back into the friendly mask. "Yes my son here is just beginning his selection! I believe a few of the girls are here tonight!" She continued to speak to the courtier for a moment then grabbed her sons arm, "If you'll excuse us, Mother son dances are important for bonding. The ambassador began socializing with a near by Frenchwoman and The queen mumbled to her son, "Come late one more time and I'm hanging you out of the north tower by your left toe, in full armor in a cold breeze."

@ShadeStar

"Whenever you want to stop by," Zaera told both girls as her smile turned softer, "I'll be more than willing to teach you something. Whether it be dancing, or how to handle big events like this, I'm always readily available."

@ShadeStar

"It's my pleasure," Zaera gave them a slight curtsey, "Now if you don't mind me, I'm going to go and raid the desert table."

Talin went along with his mother, nodding and mumbling an excuse so he wouldn't have to think about the punishment she just described, "I was at lessons, and we forgot what time it was, and I was taking a test. Sorry." Reaching the center of the dance floor, he stopped and waited for the song to start before starting to dance with his mother, "I promise I won't be late again."

@Relsey-TheElder

The song began and mother and son began to dance, "It's alright I'm just a bit… oh whats the word, preoccupied? Worried? Oh I know Over stimulated, I'm a bit over stimulated, no that still doesn't sound right." Lillian babbled quietly.

@gracehustle

"Everything is fine mother, you always get nervous when ambassadors are here, nothing is going to go wrong," He said quietly, feet moving expertly. The prince had taken dance lessons all his life, which honestly wasn't terrible since he enjoyed them.

@Relsey-TheElder

Lillian took deep breaths and regained control of her breathing, "You're right, as soon as this dance is over I'm going to find your father, and then we can talk to the queen together, and everything will go smoothly because your father is amazing."

@Simon-Says

"It's my pleasure," Zaera gave them a slight curtsey, "Now if you don't mind me, I'm going to go and raid the desert table."

"Could I join you?" Beatriz asked with a shy smile. "I didn't want to go alone."

@gracehustle

Talin shrugged, "He has his good days, other times he can be very cranky and not fun to deal with." The song was still going, but it was winding down and starting to change to the next one where everyone would be allowed to dance.

@Simon-Says

Beatriz smiled. "Definitely. The more people, the less likely we'll be swept up in French conversation with no chance of escape," she said dramatically, giggling slightly.

@ShadeStar

Zaera had a slight smile as she began to make her way towards the table, "Of course you can come with. Though getting swept up into a conversation wouldn't be so terrible."

@Simon-Says

Beatriz raised an eyebrow. "As someone with absolutely no confidence in my French skills, I'd say it would be," she laughed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zia chuckled. "It absolutely would be terrible. I'd probably blurt out something like "I like to eat shit". Or something equally as embarrassing."

@Simon-Says

"Well, yes, but the teacher… I forgot her name, I have the memory span of a pencil, said it was polite to use their language and she'll probably, I don't know, fail me, or something, if I don't," Beatriz stressed, delicately picking a pastry off the table.

@ShadeStar

"I don't believe we're going to be graded on this," Zaera reassured both girls, "The worst thing that might happen is that you will get some strange looks. Just do whatever you can."

Jade had just left a conversation with a very boring famous person. She didn't really know where he was from or what exactly made him famous, but he was old and told worse stories than her father. Walking around the room looking for familiar faces, she found Marcus by the doors. She walked up to him, faking a yawn.

"Hello, my dear friend. What are you up to this fine evening?" She smiled at him sarcasticly.

"Okay, first off," he told her, "I'm not your 'dear friend'. Second… well, the same as you, I suppose. I'm here for the ball."

"I see." She looked at him. "And are you enjoying yourself?"

"Define 'enjoying'. It's kind of part of my job to be here. But sure, it's rather entertaining, I guess. By the way, someone was looking for you. A guard, I don't think I have seen him before. Do you know him?" Marcus looked at her, interested.

She shrugged. "How am I supposed to know that? You haven't told me who he is, so obviously I have no idea of whether I know him or not. Who is it?"

"It's me," a dark voice behind her responded in Marcus's place. "And I am pretty sure that you know me." She could hear the smirk before she saw it.

Jade quickly turned around. "Henry?"
