The angel suddenly crouched, shooting upward, he caught Scipio a story from the ground, and then came plummeting perfectly down to Earth, making sure the dog was safe, he put the boy and dog down.
The angel suddenly crouched, shooting upward, he caught Scipio a story from the ground, and then came plummeting perfectly down to Earth, making sure the dog was safe, he put the boy and dog down.
"Cool… who else is coming?" Scipio's heart was pounding, honestly, but he didn't betray any physical signs of him thinking he was about to die. He pet Ragno's ears, the poor dog seeming terrified.
"Cleo and Fran." The angel stated, monotonously, exploding into a swarm of flying insects.
Scipio nodded and sat down with his dog, deciding it would be a bit before the others were out. Ragno whined quietly, trembling. "You're fine… I only jumped out a window."
Looking over her shoulder, Cassie's eyes widened slightly, the only indicator of her shock. Where does someone get that many bugs? She wondered before shrugging, blowing a bubble with her gum, and crossing the street.
"Hey, Cas. Where do you think you're going, hmm?" Scipio asked, still petting Ragno.
Fran heard the talking stop from the rooms and assumed everyone had gone to sleep. He wasn't sure what time it was but didn't necessarily care at this point. He went back into his own room hoping he could fall asleep or find something semi productive and entertaining to do.
Marduk greeted him, stepping out of Fran's room as he opened the door.
"Hello, are you Fran? My name is Marduk and I am an angel of Heaven." He greeted the same way he did with all the others.
Whirling around, Cassiel marched back across the street, seething with anger. "No one gets to call me Cas," she growled lowly, a spark of flame igniting on her finger before she quenched it.
"Yeah, okay, but I just did and you literally did nothing about it. Although, I suppose that's a good thing. Wouldn't want to hurt the dog." He scratched behind Ragno's ears.
Fran backed up a few steps surprised "What the fuck" he mumbled. Am I seeing things now have I completely lost it. "Um…yes?…what?" He answered confused.
Cassie felt blood roaring in her ears, and before she could stop it, her entire hand went up in flames. "Shut up or I'll sew your mouth shut for you."
"You and what needle?" Scipio grinned a bit, still petting the dog. "Do you like him?" He held up Ragno, who wagged his little nub tail happily.
(Scipio: is a smartass Hey look how cute my dog is)
"This is difficult to explain, but you are the product of a human-demon union, and I have been sent to gather you, along with Scipio, Cassiel, and Cleo. The first of whom are already outside." He explained.
(Oh my gods you're making it hard to stay in character)
"NO - I - " Cassie spluttered, the fire on her hand going out as she turned away from Scipio. "Whatever," she muttered, walking away again.
(Lmao)
Scipio smirked and set Ragno back on his lap. "I'm sure the others will be here soon. It's getting dreadfully boring…"
"That's nice," Cassiel muttered, whispering curse words under her breath. She wanted to torch that idiot so badly. She hated being small. No one was scared of the girl who looked like a little kid. Even though she could kill them without batting an eyelash, literally no one cared. She shook her head and kicked a rock as she reached the edge of the treeline.
"Ooh, someone's feeling pissy~" Scipio watched Cassiel curiously. "Would petting Ragno make you feel better? That always makes me feel better… he's a good boy." He patted the corgi's head.
Cassiel leaned against a tree, groaning. "Can you just shut the hell up? I don't want to talk to you, and I do not want to pet your stupid dog."
"You know you doooo~" Ragno whined with excitement, trying to get over to Cassiel.
Without a moment's pause, Cassiel was up in the tree. She didn't stop until she reached the highest branch that could support her. "Go. Away," she said tightly.
"Literally where do you expect me to go? You're stuck with me, Cassiel. Time to get used to it." Scipio pet Ragno to calm the excited dog down.
"I'm not fucking stuck. And for the love of all that is holy DO NOT call me Cas, Cassie, or any other nicknames you see as appropriate. You know what, just please don't talk to me," she added, jumping lightly out of the tree and walking deeper into the forest.
"Is everything OK?" A scritchy voice asked, seemingly from out of nowhere. "You two?"
"She doesn't want to pet my dog and she's mad that I called her Cas. So… it's going fine, but Ragno needs pets." Scipio continued petting the happy corgi.
"No. Literally nothing is ok," Cassiel replied, not stopping, before cursing herself for ever speaking to begin with. If she didn't talk to anyone, maybe they just wouldn't talk to her.
"Oh um…okay then gather us for what exactly?" He questioned now more or less out of his initial shocked and confused state.
"I have not been informed." The angel replied to Fran, opening the window.
Suddenly he split into a flock of doves, all scattering, wings fluttering towards the ground around Scipio and Ragno, befire they reunited, compiling into the angel.
Scipio waved and stood up, still holding Ragno. "Cassiel wouldn't pet him and now he's sad." The dog looked up at Marduk, his little nub tail wagging. "I think he'll recover, though."
Fran walked over to the window and looked down, seeing the others and the angel down at the ground. He sighed lightly and followed in suit, teleporting down to the ground with the others.
