Alice was bored. Unsure of what to do now, she elected to explore. She went out of her room and down a hallway, taking in the decorations and the vibrant colors everywhere. It was so unlike her house, or anywhere in her district, for that matter. She hoped she didn’t look too weird. Of course they had nice things in the Capitol. Why should she be so surprised?
Seong-Jin looked at his bed, then the ground, running his hand through his white hair as his arctic blue eyes darted around the room.

Kai thought he heard someone and looked around.
(i’m gonna assume he and Alice are in the same place)
Alice turned to see the boy from her district, and decided to talk to him. It couldn’t hurt. “Hi,” she said simply.
(i guess they probably would have already met since they’re from the same district, but i wasn’t there for that so should we pretend they already interacted with each other?)
(Sure.)
"Hey.." he states shifting from one foot to the other/
“Isn’t it crazy how fancy and elaborate everything is here?” Alice asked him in fascination. “And they get entertainment out of us fighting to the death? How sick and twisted is that?” Clearly Alice didn’t know the meaning of “small talk.”
"It is pretty twisted. I mean seriously, how are they entertained by this type of stuff?" Kai said, happy that they weren't having awkward small talk.
Alice shrugged unhappily. “I’d rather watch a show about animals or a comedy than watch a bunch of kids attempting to murder each other,” she added. “I think that the Capitol people are a different species or something. Or maybe that’s just what humanity turns into when they’re coddled and living the lap of luxury.”
"Same. I'd rather watch a comedy then people killing each other. Hey, maybe they are a different species. A mutated human race that enjoys that kind of stuff." Kai said, jokingly at the end.
Alice smiled faintly. “Yeah. I’ve always imagined being chosen for the games, but it was just mindless daydreams. Not the good kind of day dreams, obviously, but I didn’t except the reality of this. Those daydreams didn’t prepare me in the slightest.”
"I mean I figured I might be chosen, but I hoped I wouldn't be. So…um..what do you think our plan of action should be?" Kai asked with a frown.
“I think that we should lay low, at least at the beginning, so that we aren’t in a lot of danger,” Alice suggested slowly. “We should focus more on surviving than anything. Then once it’s down to a few people, we go in for the kill. What do you think?”
"I like the plan. We'll go with that." Kai answered with a small sad smile.
Alice mirrored his smile, humorless as well. “What will our families think of us now, becoming killers?” Alice wondered aloud sadly. “My dad must be seriously upset.”
"I…um…." Kai says with a frown.
Then he mumbles something under his breath.
Alice blinked, thinking she probably hit a nerve. “What?” she asked, confused. She pauses for a moment. “I’m sorry. I think I went too far with that comment.”
"My parents are…uh…no longer…..um…ur…with us," he answers as a frown appears on his face, and his eyes start to water.
He blinks the tears away and tries to make it seem like he wasn't about to cry.
“Oh my gosh I am so sorry,” Alice said, embarrassed. “I shouldn’t have said that. I was just feeling sorry for myself.” She looked down. She was such an idiot. “Let’s talk about something else then.”
"Okay….what do you wanna talk about?" Kai asked with as he scratched the back of his neck, "Maybe we could get to know each other, and like become friends or something..?"
Alice nodded. “Sure, that sounds good,” she replied, trying not to think about how at least one of them would die, possibly at the hands of the other. She couldn’t get too friendly with him. “What do you want to know?”

Royce decided after Ara left that he would just have a walk around the place. He spotted the Earth District pair whilst careening through the hall. He flashed a friendly smile at them as he passed by.
Though what followed the soft smile he gave was a whiff of extremely cold wind that would make the two people shiver; either of the coldness or the fear.
(Um, I'm a little confused. Instead of taking the old Air girls spot, can I just jump in somewhere?)
(I would think so. If you can’t think of what to do, wanna run into Royce along the hall?)

(Oh, I just wasn't sure where we were at. I am taking the air girls spot. Can you start up the conversation a bit maybe? Then I can jump in. Her name is Zuri now btw. I just meant her spot as in where she was last.)

SEOng-Jin looked over to the girl, not quite knowing what to do or say. But he figured he might as well talk to her….after all, they are teammates.
"Hey….whats your name again?"
He says running his hands through his white hair.
"Zuri," she says bluntly. She plays with her platinum blonde braids and resettles her wings on her back as she asses the situation. She might as well trust and be open with him. Being her normal and cold self to him now might affect her chances later. She decides she'll have to keep close to him.
"And yours?" Zuri says with a shy smile.
"Seong-Jin"
He says crossing his arms and leaning against the wall. His eyes only half open, the blue in his eyes almost glowing as he gave her a sideglance.
Zuri knew compliments could either put someone on edge or make them more open, and she decided to take the chance it was the latter.
"You have very beautiful eyes. I have blue eyes too, but yours are just so striking!"
She sat down and got into a comfortable position, looking at Seong-Jin the whole time.
"Your name is very cool too. Do you have any nicknames? If you want, you can call me Ri"
She hated people calling her nicknames, but she knew if she were to ask him for one she should supply one for herself.
