Stella smiled again, walking out to where he had led her.
Stella smiled again, walking out to where he had led her.
"There's a place across from here that I love to go to," he pointed to the restaurant across from where they were.
"I assume we're going there?" She asked.
"You assumed right," he chuckled and took her hand led her to the place, "Hello Mr. Crowfeather, how is that job treating you?" he nodded, "Great!"
Stella had no idea how he knew all these people, although she assumed it was from his job.
"What should I get for you young lady?" he asked drying the glass.
"Just some wine is fine," Stella answered casually, smiling politely.
"Alright… you wouldn't happen to be Stella are you?" the bartender raised an eyebrow handing her a glass of wine.
"I am…how did you know?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, taking the glass.
He chuckled, "Nick over here has talked about you quite a lot! After he had his meeting he came straight here and talked about you like he was his wife!" Nick looked up and hit him on the arm, "Shut up! I'll just take some water please," he laughed.
"Really?" Stella asked with a small, suave smile, sitting onto a stool.
"Yep! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAll night!" he laughed handing Zoltan the glass of water.
Stella laughed a little, sipping her wine. "Not difficult to picture."
"Why you gotta tell my business like that!" he wined drinking his water.
Stella smiled a little more. "It seems likely. Given the option, I would have guessed."
He playfully elbowed her in the arm, "Jeez am I really that easy to read?" he asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, you kind of are," Stella said with an eye roll and a little laugh.
"You guys are so mean!" he joked, "I'll take the usual." he nodded as he punched the order in, "You?"
She shrugged, having never been here before. "Whatever you think is good." She didn't usually trust someone she knew so little like this, but here she was.
The man nodded and punched in a different order than the other's, "So what do you do to make a living Stella?"
"Nail salon," She responded quickly.
"That's nice! Nick has never told me that. Surprisingly," he laughed and put the glass down while leaning over the counter, "Can you not flirt with Stella please?" Nick said looking up from his glass.
Stella raised a bit of an eyebrow. "He doesn't seem to be flirting with me."
(BTW the bartender is like 24)
"No, he is. Trust me…" the bartender rolled his eyes, "Why are you always doing that man?" Nick looked up and sighed. "You do it all the time to my coworkers you even did with my mom because she looked young."
((oh lmao))
"I'm with Nick," She responded simply, taking another sip of her wine.
Greg looked surprised, "You two are in a relationship already. After one night?!" he scoffed and turned around. Even Nick looked surprised.
Stella only nodded, looking him straight in the eye. If she ever wanted to get out of this restaurant without a fight breaking out…well, she might have to lie a little.
"Can I kiss you then?" he smirked tilting his head.
Her gut was screaming at her that this was a bad idea - she had only known Nick for one night - but on the outside, she remained calm, nodding. "Of course you can."
"Okay then," he softly kissed Stella then pulled away because he knew she didn't want to be kissed.
