Bloom was to far away for them to even notice. She made sure to keep her distance, because she k ow something would happen, it was just that gut feeling. "Should I help?" Bloom was having a internal conflict with herself. Sure she would come in handy, but maybe they didn't need her.
(It doesn't bother me, I just don't really see how it'd be helpful)
Moxiey put on a brave face, but Maddox could feel her trembling.
(oh it's just a little thing he does every now and then…. Just like a little add on. Again I won't do it if you don't want me to)
Iris put a reassuring hand on their shoulders "when I say, go towards the surface and leap out of the water to mask you scent a little." She muttered
Maddox nodded and took Moxiey's hand in his own, still eyeing the sharks anxiously.
Moxiey squeezed her brother's hand tightly. "What if it doesn't work?" she whispered.
Toka nodded, unaware that you could do that surfacing thing for more than just fun. He waited for her word.
"What is someone sees us?" she added worriedly.
"You wont, jump when I say and you wont." Iris waited for a few seconds before launching herself straight at the sharks, armed with a small shell dagger "go, now!" She yelled
Maddox quickly swam up and leapt out of the water with Moxiey.
Toka squeaked and followed the two to the surface, leaping out after them.
Iris slashed her blade and cut Off the fine from one shark and it started sinking, one shark raced after the smell of blood. She stabbed a few other sharks them started swimming away. Her tail didnt allow her to move very fast, but she weaved in and out of the rock formations and coral, trying to lead them as far away from the k9ds as she could.
Maddox dove back into the water and reoriented himself before glancing around, still holding onto Moxiey. Where did she go?
Some time later, iris started swimming back to where she left the kids, making her way slowly back because of her wounded tail and arms. She found the kids and smiled weakly "are you guys ok?" She managed before collapsing to the bottom of the cave floor.
"Iris!" Maddox swam down to the cave floor to check on her, coughing a bit from the blood.
"I'm… I'm ok, just a little tired. Did-did you guys get hurt?"she asked the small group surrounding her
Maddox shook his head, glancing around for something that might help.
Iris winced and slid up against the cave wall, groaning at her back hit the hard rock.
"Is… is there anything I can do to help?" Maddox leaned against the cave wall next to Iris.
"Is there any seaweed nearby? That can help heal me quicker." She sighed
"I'll go look." Maddox swam out and soon returned with some seaweed. He wanted to help, but he clearly wasn't sure what he was supposed to do with this.
Toka had followed Iris down to the cave, his injured arm an afterthought. "Oh! H-here." He reached into the satchel he'd completely forgotten he had over his shoulder. He pulled out a long, flat piece of kelp and hovered by Iris, ignoring the blood in the water and starting to gently wrap a gash on her left arm. It was only one wound, but it was a start, and the less blood the better.
Iris took the plant from Maddox and started working it into a almost paste-like consistency and rubbing it on her tail. She looked at Toka gratefully "save this for your arm! I am happy you are helping but your arms it hurt too!" She said
Seong watched them from a distance. He swam closer, he didn't care about being seen or not, he just wanted to watch.
His blue eyes staring like daggers, his white hair floating around, his black and white spotted tail waving back and forth.
He looked up at the surface of the ocean then swam towards everyone.
"if you don't mind, this is my place…. ya know, why I was here in the first place. So if you guys don't mind leaving, and please don't leave a corpse in here, its a waste, ill have to feed it to the sharks or push it up onto the shore for the humans to find."
He shivers at the thought.
"dragging a corpse around is quite the hassle don't ya know?"
He smirked devilishly
Maddox shuddered and cowered behind Iris, looking up at Seong fearfully. "W-Who are you? What do you want with us?"
"Ya know I don't really know whats making you so stupid, but its working."
He says to the fish.
"look im the one that sent the sharks after you tuna sandwich! And I don't even want anything with you other than for you to leave."
He puts his hands together.
"now will you please get out. You can come back tomorrow, I'll be gone."
"Maybe we could go if we didn't have help our buddy here. You know, since you sent sharks on us." Toka finished up the warp, then crossed his arms and pouted at the mer-shark. "Why are you so mean, anyway?"
Iris stood up and ruffled Toka's hair "thanks kid. And ge is just lonely. That's why he sent them after us. Lets go back to the shipwreck and find treasure." She smiled, wincing as she 'stood' up
Moxiey wrapped her arms protectively around Maddox, glaring daggers at the mer shark.
