“Trust me, it’s the best way to do this, you’ll be fine, I promise.”
“Trust me, it’s the best way to do this, you’ll be fine, I promise.”
He still didn't look convinced but nodded slightly.
“Now we have to hurry, there’s always a chance the authorities will find us.” He said, walking over to the window and opening it again.
He nodded, slowly making his way over to the window.
He literally stepped outside into what looked like just air. “Come on”
Kyle raised a brow, “How the…?”
“My powers work best in the dark like this, so basically I’m just giving the darkness around us a solid form. Do you trust me now?”
He bit his lip and nodded a little. Slowly he stepped out and next to Dark.
“Just stay right behind me and everything will be fine” he said before starting to walk.
Kyle bit his lip and started to follow, keeping close behind.
“It shouldn’t take us super long to get there as long as we don’t run into any problems.” He called over his shoulder without stopping.
"R-Right.. o-okay…" He replied, trying as best he could to keep up.
“If you need to take a break, just let me know” he said, slowing down a bit.
"O-Okay…" He was silently grateful the villain slowed down.
Dark walked silently, humming under his breath. Bit by bit, they were making their way towards the more abandoned part of town.
Kyle grew more anxious the further they walked, exhaustion weighing heavily on him.
Almost as if he could tell he said “don’t worry we’re almost there” a few minutes later he came to a stop.
Kyle released a breath when they stopped, rubbing at his chest which was starting to ache.
“You okay?” He asked, turning around to look at him.
Kyle nodded a little, “Y-Yeah… fine…”
“Okay we just have to get off the roof and then we’re here.” He said, kneeling down to mess with something on the edge of the roof. “Oh just a warning, everyone’s a bit over energetic and over excited. The only one who might actually give you issues is Taylor, but I can get their sister to stop them so it’s fine.”
Kyle sighed, "Th-That's just great…" He didn't think he could deal with energetic people when he felt like he was going to faint.
“Don’t worry it’s just for a second. They’ll mostly leave you alone after that.” He said, un latching a ladder on the side of the building. “Come on it’s just down here,” he offered him a hand if he needed one.
Kyle did in fact need the hand and took it, if slightly hesitantly.
Dark helped him down. Within a minute they reached the ground. He opened a small door at the front of building and yelled inside “I’m home!”
Kyle flinched slightly, the loud noise hurting his ears already.
“Come on” he said, walking inside, expecting Kyle to follow.
He did, but reluctantly. All he wanted to do was find Caleb and sleep.
Dark looked up at the ceiling and sighed. “Taylor how’d you even get up there?!”
“Honestly I don’t know…and I can’t get down” Come a voice from the rafters.
Kyle poured a little, looking up and fiddling with his sleeves.
