"A little," He responded, smiling softly to himself.
"A little," He responded, smiling softly to himself.
"But you're supposed to be awake by now."
"I am…just tired," Bridge told him, eventually looking back at Scipio.
"Stop that. Tired is bad. Sleep."
"I won't…I won't be tired in a couple minutes," Bridge said, eyes darting around Scipio's face.
"Hmph… if you say so…" Scipio lay his head back down.
As predicted, in a couple minutes Bridge became fully awake, eyes as wide and sparkling as usual.
"You good now? Not tired?" Scipio asked, looking down at the younger boy.
He shook his head. "Not anymore."
"Good… now what?" Scipio sat up.
I want to kiss you again, Bridge thought to himself, reaching up to gently comb some of Scipio's hair back into place. Instead, he merely shrugged. "I don't know."
"We already snuck out yesterday, so we probably shouldn't again… I dunno. Any ideas?"
Bridge waited for a second, not saying anything, until he caved quickly and leaned over to quickly kiss Scipio. Pulling away, he shook his head. "No…no ideas."
Scipio's face flushed a bit again, but he didn't draw attention to it. "Alright… I'm sure we'll find something to do."
"Probably," Bridge agreed, sitting cross-legged as he did. Although he would never say so, he was happy he was the reason Scipio blushed so much now.
"Maybe the guards will bring in a new person today? That could be interesting."
((I hear you got a job?? I forgot to wish you luck on the interview!))
"A new…new person, or new guard?" Bridge asked, looking over at him curiously.
(Aa thanks ^^ I work at an ice cream place now)
Scipio shrugged. "Either could be interesting. I like to mess with new guards, and new people always have fun stories."
((Ooh, snazzy!))
Just as he had said so, a guard walked past. He looked rather new, and Bridge at least didn't recognize him. He looked younger, too, maybe only eighteen or nineteen.
"Speak of the devil and he shall come." Scipio smirked. "Hey, you! Why don't you come in here? Don't worry, I probably won't hurt you so long as you don't piss me off too much."
The guard looked back, a little surprised at first, but then put on a cocky smirk that almost matched Scipio's. "Oh. It's you. They told me about you…Scorpion, is it?"
"Call me Scipio if you want to live. Who are you?" Scipio examined the new guard curiously.
"King. Luka King. You're…Scipio, and who's this?" Luka asked, gesturing to Bridge, who was sitting close to Scipio with his knees pulled up to his chest again.
"Bridge. Last names aren't important. When did you show up?"
"A couple days ago," Luka replied, leaning against the bars. He looked over at Bridge curiously, raising an eyebrow. He certainly didn't look the type to commit any crime.
"Well, I hope you're equipped to handle people like me." Scipio smirked. "Wanna know what I'm in for? Or did they already brief you? Usually they just tell newbies to steer clear of me."
Luka waved a hand aimlessly. "Psycopath. Mass murder. I know what I need to."
"Wonderful… What all did Dave tell you? Bastard hates me… although the feeling is mutual and elevated."
"He told me you speak Italian. Steer clear of you, or knock you out if I feel like it." Again, Luka glanced over to Bridge. "So what'd he do?"
Scipio examined Bridge for a moment before shrugging. "He doesn't really know either."
