Kreja flops down on the floor and army crawls forward so that he can investigate Zore. His tail wags like crazy as he sniffs curiously at her. Wiggling around a little and barking twice, he tries to entice her to play with him. He just doesn't understand why she seems to be scared of him when the other puppy is more than happy to yap at him.
"Poor baby." Ava looks down at Zore with a sympathetic expression. "Kreja really isn't as bad as you think," She tells the puppy quietly.
Zore whined softly and wriggled in Cameron's arms, trying to escape. He let her go slowly and she hid back behind his legs, whimpering and barking back softly. She didn't seem to understand the human as she hid away behind a cooing Cameron.
Rosy jumped at Kreja with barks and yaps when he was positioned on the ground, taking a small mouthful of his fur and growling ferociously, her tail wagging wildly.
Kreja looks over to Rosy and barks. When he's off of his leash, he runs into the living room and returns a minute later with a tug-of-war rope in his mouth. He play bows and shakes the rope playfully in front og Rosy to see if she'll play with him.
"Should we take Kreja and Rosy out to the backyard so that Zore can have some time to settle in?" Ava suggests, worried about the puppy.
Rosy looked up at Ava at her name, wagging her tail and wriggling over expectantly, barking up at her. Though she allowed herself to get distracted, pouncing on the toy and tugging on it with all of her might, which wasn't really a whole lot.
"Yeah, that's a good idea." Cameron picked up Rosy and the toy from Kreja, leading them outside and setting her down. The tiny puppy started to run around wildly, her ears flapping in the wind. She sniffed around wildly, then chose a place to pee.
Kreja shakes his head with playfully aggression when Rosy grabs ahold of the toy. Much to his disappointment, the toy and his new playmate are soon taken away. He trots out into the backyard, jumping up to try and reclaim his toy from Cameron.
Ava herds Kreja outside, chuckling at his behavior. Once everyone is safely outside, she closes the door behind them. A smile appears on her face as she watches Rosy run wildly around the yard. The puppy really does remind of her Kreja as a puppy.
Cameron, once he made sure Rosy was okay, tossed the toy back out to them and went back to the whimpering and quivering Zore. The puppy had slowly stood up and was walking around slowly, sniffing at the carpet in the living room. She scrambled back over to Cameron when he approached, and he stroked her head gently.
"How do we get her to relax, Ava? With time?"
Kreja barks and grabs the toy, proudly prancing around the yard with it. With a few happy barks, he shakes his head violently so he can try to rip the boat apart.
Ava glances over to Cameron and Zore, watching as they interact. “We do a lot of one on one with the dogs at the shelter that are more shy and reserved. Maybe that will help?” She suggests, though not sure if it’ll actually work for the puppy since every dog is different.
Rosy, after doing her business, chased after Kreja on her stubby legs with loud yaps. She grabbed onto his wagging tail with her small mouth, thinking it a toy and shaking her head wildly with it in her mouth.
Cameron sat down slowly in front of the puppy, who barked softly up at him and set her paws onto his calf.
"I think it'll work. Maybe Kreja's size just scared her."
Kreja yelps and barks loudly when Rosy chomps down on his tail. He whirls around and growls lightly as a warning, though not aggressively, before nudging her side with his nose so that she’ll let him go. It doesn’t feel great to have his tail bit.
Ava nods her head a little in agreement. “Maybe she’ll start to calm down once she realizes that he’s just a lump.”
Rosy whimpered and backed away from him at his growl, though her mouth popped back open at his nudge. She attacked his large paws, nipping at them with her small teeth, then licking them and laying down in the shade he made as she licked.
"Sit down with us," Cameron invited, gesturing for her to sit next to him and opening an arm. "I want her to be comfortable with both of us."
Kreja huffs as he watches her, making sure that she doesn’t bite his tail again. When she starts to lick his paws, he just flops down and lays beside her, happy as can be. He reaches down and lightly nuzzles Rosy’s head, snuffling at her ears like he used to do to Lily.
Ava smiles softly before going and sitting down beside them. She sighs softly and rests her head on his shoulder.
Rosy yapped at him a couple times for the snuffling of her ears, but moved onto his legs and still licking his paws. She seemed rather comfy in the shade of the bigger dog, enjoying being protected from the hot sun above.
Cameron dropped his arm around her shoulder, using one to gently stroke Zore's face and head. The small puppy wriggled closer to them, barking softly.
Kreja licks the top of her head before smiling with his signature goofy doggy grin. He’s more than happy to lay here with the puppy. It’s been hard not having Lily around so he’s going to enjoy this.
Ava extends her hand to Zore to allow the puppy to sniff at her. “You are too cute.” She coos softly. Having the puppies around is going to be so great.
Rosy barked up at him and set her head down on her own tiny paws, her tail wriggling just a small bit in happiness. Her mouth popped open just a small bit in her own doggy grin, panting just a small bit in the heat.
Zore barked softly again and laid down a little, gazing up at them with her big brown eyes. Cameron cooed again, reaching out to gently stroke her head in his big hand.
Kreja stretches out a little before setting his head down next to Rosy. With a loud yawn, he closes his eyes and gets ready to take a nap with his new friend.
Ava gently pets the small pup’s back, smiling at how sweet she is. “You’re just a baby, aren’t you?” Lightly running her fingers through Zore’s fur, she sighs contently.
Zore rose her nose to sniff at Ava's hand, as Cameron watched on. Zore sniffed her for a while, before climbing into her lap and settling down with a yawn. It had been a big day for the pair of pups. Every day was a big day for a puppy, but this day was particularly exhausting.
Ava smiles down at the sleeping puppy before glancing out of the window to check on Kreja and Rosy. The scene that greets her is adorable. “Poor pups are exhausted,” She comments quietly as she cuddles up next to Cameron. This has been a great but crazy day.
Cameron followed her gaze and laughed softly, relaxing against her. "Yeah, you should know that puppies don't last too long. Should we bring those two in? Or just stay here until the pups wake up?" He asked her, looking down at her.
“Mm, maybe we should leave them there until they wake up. They all seem to be happy where they are,” Ava hums in response. It wouldn’t hurt to let all of the dogs sleep for awhile, they’ve all had a big day.
Cameron nodded and leaned back into the wall behind him with a soft, happy sigh, looking down at Zore's sleepy face. It was all squished up and wrinkled.
"I love puppies."
Ava reaches up and gently kisses his cheek. “So do I. They’re just so cute and sweet and cuddly.” She would cuddle with puppies all day if she could. Their silly expressions and their soft fur just make her so happy.
Cameron grinned and gently took her lips in a kiss, relaxing into her side again. "That's what I'm saying. There's nothing not to love, it's wonderful," Cameron gushed happily, smiling and running a finger across Zore's soft fur. The pup didn't stir.
“You are just giddy, aren’t you?” Ava asks with a smile. It’s so nice to see him this happy. “Sometime you should come volunteer at the shelter with me. The amount of cuteness I see, you just can’t fathom it.” All of the dogs and cats are just precious.
"God, no, cus then I'd want to take all of them home," He said with a sigh. He'd really love to, but that amount of cuteness would charm him and make him feel bad for how many dogs were dropped off to be taken care of.
“I look a kitten and a puppy home a few years back so that I could foster them. Poor things were in such rough shape and they were so emotionally attached to each other that someone had to take them together. I came so close to just keeping them myself. It was worth it when I deny them off to a loving family.” She smiles at the memory.
Cameron sighed softly, shaking his head. "I don't know how you can do it, Ava. Just fostering would kill me emotionally. But it's good you can do it." He laughed softly, pulling her closer and stroking the sleepy Zore.
"It's really hard but I love getting updates that the owners send. Seeing those dogs and cats happy in their new homes makes it easier." Ava snuggles up next to him, sighing happily. Smiling softly, she gently pets Zore on her head.
(hey m8 sorry about that, what now?)
(Dang, sorry dude, I didn't even see this. Hm….I'm not sure. Do we want something with action, romance or drama?)
