Appearance: hes korean but he has pretty big bluish white eyes but they look really mean, which he purposely does (unless he's sad or concerned. Then it makes people want to cry., he has a triangular face and a very defined and sharp jawline. His nose is kinda just normal sized and his lips are full (but not full) his cheeks have a little bit of freckles on them along with his nose and forehead. He has a lot of white fluffy hair but he covers it up with his cloak that he always tends to wear. He's 6’3 and semi muscular. His tail is black and with white specks that near the bottom turn purely white. Over all he's pretty mysterious looking but cute at the same time.
Personality: at first he's a little jerk face (and a flirt) but once you get to know him he's a cute hopeless romantic
Other: he gas a tattoo on his side of a feather pen dipped in ink.
Iris decided to leave her group of friends and go to the old shipwreck she saw the other day. While there, she saw another mermaid being attacked led by a shark.
Maddox hid from the shark, pressing himself against the side of the ship and gasping for breath. He didn't seem to notice Iris.
Seong-Jin swam in a group of sharks to blend in, he looked up at a huge ship, a net was hanging out of it. He hated humans, only because they killed his little sister when he was young.
He swam closer looking at one of the humans. They were yelling at each other waving huge weapons and laughing.
are they insane?
they probably were Seong thought.
He decided to leave and explore more of the ocean. He didn't really have a home to go back to. He saw a huge shipwreck with sharks around it. Was there food? He decided to go check it out.
He swiftly glided through the currents. His white hair flowing in the water.
Iris quickly swam towards the mermaid and attempted to distract the shark
The shark turned towards Iris and started chasing her instead, Maddox watching in shock as he cowered against the ship. Although the shark was fast, it seemed to be quite dumb.
Seong noticed that the mermaid and…… whatever the other thing was, were struggling. He made a clicking sound with his tongue.
The shark turned around and swam out of a hole in the ship.
Seong looked at the mermaid and a jellyfish? He scoffs,
"you guys would've been goners…. a whole shiver (school) of sharks were heading this way."
His blue eyes pierced the darkness in the ship, and with that he calmly swam away.
Iris looked distastefully towards the cowering merman as she swam towards him "what the heck were you thinking? Battling a full grown shark alone!" She asked him
"I-I wasn't trying to battle it…" Maddox said quietly, looking up at Iris from where he was. "It just started chasing me…"
"should I make friends or continue as I am"
He said to him self actually curious.
He laid on a rock and watched the ship from afar
Iris sighed and stuck out a hand "iris, who are you and why are you here?" She asked
Maddox shook her hand nervously. "I'm Maddox… I-I was just exploring and watching the jellyfish girl."
"How old are you?" She asked changing her tone, the boy looked terrified and her barking out questions was probably making him worse.
"…Eleven." Great, now she's gonna send me home… Maddox fell quiet, waiting for her response.
"11? How come you didnt come here with someone? If you wanted to explore that much, it's better to come with someone at such a young age." She scolded h8m
Maddox looked down guiltily. "I-I… um… I don't really have anyone I could come with… I've just got a twin sister."
"Oh." She said quietly. "Well, do you want to explore this place with me?" She asked smiling softly
"Alright…" Maddox followed Iris back into the shipwreck, careful to watch for sharks.
Seong-Jin got up and looked at them. He looked at a group of sharks and smirked.
"its time to have some fun…"
He swam over to the sharks, and before he knew it they were following him to the ship with the men on it. Theyre was a cage with a man in gear in it. The sharks surrounding it while he swam over it. He reached his hand in the while the man pushed his back to the cage in terror. The sharks started banging on the bars then the cage started highering into the ship. Before the man reached the ship Seong-Jin put his index finger to his mouth.
"better keep quiet unless you wanna die"
He smiles at him, his teeth nice yet sharp.
He liked making men fear for their life.
Bloom stayed hidden and just watched the three talk to each other. It was as if she was shy, she was just more cautious then anything. This was her first time meeting anyone that wasn't a jellyfish. "Wow, they are all so pretty." Then she looked at herself, there wasn't anything that was too special about her, and all her people pretty much looked the same. While merpeople and, I guess shark people looked different. More… colorful.
Iris saw the jelly fish nearby and waved "hello, who are you?" She asked

The man got on the ship. Probably telling his crew members about what he saw.
He turned around to see the mermaids a the jelly fish he saw earlier. He turned around to see a women… She looked like she was pushed in. She had a rope tied around her neck. He swam up to her while she panicked. He forgot that there were sharks around him. He bit the rope (disgusted) and he grabbed her forearm and pulled her up to the surface and wacked the side of the boat with his tail. The men looked on the side of the boat. They laughed when they saw the girl. They stopped laughing and started screaming when they saw the sharks, they didn't notice Seong-Jin, no human does unless they're attention is directly on him. If he's in the background he goes unnoticed. He takes her underwater and swims towards land. He lays her on a sandy bank and leaves.
"I'm Bloom." She slowly came out. "And you're merpeople, right?" She swam around her, admiring her colorful tail. Bloom wished she could be as colorful. "My parents don't like merpeople much." She laughed, thinking about how her mom and dad would react to her meeting a mermaid.
"Oh… um… Y-Yeah. I'm Maddox." He bowed politely, examining Bloom. She looked much different than any merperson he'd ever seen.
"Hello Maddox." Bloom shot him a smile and waved. He seemed young. "Don't mermaids have like, their own city or whatever?" Bloom had heard rumors, but she didn't always believe them. "And is it true you can turn human when on land?" Clasping her hands together she spun just imagining being human. "Boy, that would be amazing."
"There is a city, and I don't believe we can become human… I'm sure there was a case or two of it, but I don't think it's common." Maddox swished his own fiery orange tail.
"I wish I could become human. Their life is so much more interesting. Don't you think?" She got closer to Maddox in excitement, being careful not to sting him though. "Its to bad I rarely get to see them. I just think they are so beautiful."
