“My mother is going to be spending today with you ladies and probably tomorrow too, something about planning a ball.” He waves a dismissive hand before continuing, “I was wondering if you would be alright with rescheduling our pizza day because of the planning?” Talin looked at them and waited patiently for their answers, smiling.

"Oh." Jade was a bit disappointed. "Well… It's fine. We can do it some other time. And, well, balls are actually something that I understand, for once." She smiled.

Zia bit her lip slightly, messing with her braid in one hand. She was quiet, not sure what to say or do. She had no idea who these other girls were, she just assumed they were also part of the Selection. She gave the a small, nervous smile, a faint blush still across her cheeks.

"Hey. You're new, right? Are you part of the Selection too?" Jade smiled at the new girl.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zia looked at her, and nodded. "Yeah…I just got here. I arrived late because the summons took longer to get to me." She explained, smiling slightly.

@gracehustle

Talin nodded and went silent once Jade had answered, trying to plan the best day to move the pizza day too while listening to the girls talk. It amazed him at how nice the girls were to each other, they were competing against one another but they seemed like they didn’t even notice and it made him happy.

"I'm Zia, by the way. And you are?" Zia asked, smiling slightly still. She was wearing hiking gear still. She wore a long sleeved shirt that stuck rather close to her skin, and pants designed to wick away water. She also had a pair of large, clunky boots on, too. She hadn't had much of a chance to change before being hustled to the jet to get to the palace.

(Just pop your character in and have them do whatever! :) y’all have about as much creative freedom as you want as to what happens to your characters and everything else, who they meet, new characters, everything!)

@Simon-Says

Beatriz wandered her floor, looking for somewhere to play the piano or violin. It calmed her, and she was feeling mildly panicked that she couldn't find either. But it wasn't like she was going to ask someone where to find one. That would be stupid.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zia looked at Talin, biting her lower lip slightly. "Uhm…you offered earlier to show me to my room…is that offer still open?" She asked, a touch shyly. "Because…i think it's a little too late to save the…rather terrible first impression I've made." She smiled slightly, letting out a small laugh. "I already ran into you, called you huge, and am wearing…" She glanced down at herself with another small laugh. "Less than ideal clothing for meeting a prince."

@ShadeStar

Zaera finished her novel and stood up. She smoothed her dress and decided now was as good as time as any to explore. As quietly as she entered, Zaera left room and walked out of the sleeping quarters. She looked around simply exploring, saying hello to anyone she ran into, which was almost no one.

Name: Cassandra Parks
Nickname(s): Cass, Cassie, Karma
Age: 19
Caste: 6
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Cassie has surprisingly glossy black hair despite all odds, not to mention stunning Egyptian blue eyes that are near impossible not to love. She has very fair skin dotted with freckles. Food is stretched pretty thin so she's very skinny for a girl her age.
Personality: She's been through hell so she's tough and very much a fighter. She's extremely sarcastic and has no problem standing up for herself even if it's smarter to just keep her mouth shut. She can be rather impulsive which can get her into trouble. But she can also be super sweet and caring since she's pretty much the mother of the house.
Background (Optional): Cassie is the oldest of 5 children and is pretty much the boss. Her father died when she was 4 years old and since then, her mother turned her love of her husband to a bottle of whiskey. Her younger brother Vincent is 17 and her younger sister Mariah is 15. However, her mother did go out and get knocked up by a man she wasn't married to so in order to not make her mother an Eight, they took on the twins that Cassie had to midwife at 6 years old as blood siblings even though they're technically stepsiblings. Luke and Reina are 13 with Luke being 4 minutes older as he loves to remind his twin sister. The only reason she entered the Selection was so that maybe she could get her family out of the hole that their mother dug them into.
Family: Her mother, her brother Vincent, her sister Mariah, and her technical stepsiblings Luke and Reina.
Other: She's a writer so she spends most of her time inside and has developed a rather wide imagination.

(Nice character!)
He chuckled and nodded, a smile on his face, “Yes the offer is still open.” Talin bowed his head to Jade and Sonia and motioned for Zia to follow him, “It was nice seeing you ladies, save some burgers for me and I’ll get back to you as to when the pizza will be rescheduled to.”

Cassie signed her name at the bottom of her letter with a flourish before smiling. She'd promised Vincent she'd write once a week to recap what happened with a bit more detail and a bit more of an inside scoop than the Report gave. She stuck the letter into an envelope and sealed it before handing it off to Jessie, one of her maids. She stood, smoothed out the dress that she thought was absolutely ridiculous, she was a woman of simple fashion, and left her room, glancing around the immaculately decorated hallway. What to do, what to do?

@ElderGod-Icefire

Zia had her bag in her hand, and followed him, still blushing slightly. She hadn't expected the prince to be quite so tall, as evidenced by her outburst earlier. She had known, of course, that he was, but not THIS tall. Her head only came up to his lower chest, and she had to look up to see his face. Not quite ideal. Maybe she should wear heels to make herself taller. That was always a possibility. But she wasn't good at walking in heels, not in the least.

@gracehustle

“So, where are you from that the summon took so long to get to?” He asked as he headed up the staircase towards the floor the ladies of the Selection were staying on, looking back at her for a moment. When he saw her bag in her hands he slowed, motioning that he could take the bag. His mother had taught him to be polite and courteous and he intended to follow her instructions.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Footsteps coming towards her brought Cassie out of her thoughts. As much as she wanted to stay at her desk until dinner, she knew she had to get out of her room and do something. Kylie, the second of her three maids, had told her that the gardens were always open during the day. Maybe she could take a walk, let the fresh air clear her mind. She smiled to herself and began for the staircase.

@ElderGod-Icefire

She handed him the bag slowly. "Well…my family and I live up north, near the border, and I had gone camping over the weekend, so I didn't have any way for them to contact me, and they didn't know where i was camping." She shrugged. "So when I can down the mountain, I got ambushed and hustled to a jet." She looked downa t her clothes. "Luckily I got to take a shower, though I only had outdoor gear with me to put on." She shrugged again, then realized that that might have been too much information, and turned red.

@gracehustle

He smiled, nodding and finally reaching the right floor. “What’s it like up there? If you don’t mind me asking.” Talin felt like he was acting like a little kid with his questions, but the Northern border was one of the only places in the country he had never seen. Starting down the hallway, he looked for an empty room while he waited for her answer.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Cassie hummed to herself as she wandered down the hallway, more in her thoughts than reality. Well, that was until she turned the corner and smacked into someone. She caught herself on the wall, almost falling flat on her back. "Okay, not dead. I told Casey that heels were impractical." She finally looked up at the person she ran into and her heart froze for a second. "Oh! Your Highness! Forgive me, I was lost in thought." (Don't mind me, just existing here)

@ElderGod-Icefire

She hummed softly, thinking. "Well…there's a lot more mountains there than there are here. It's less flat. In the winter time, we get a lot of snow and ice, which sometimes makes transportation difficult, because railroad tracks get covered in snow, and the roads are buried in layers of it. But it's beautiful. The winter time, and the mountains." She shrugged slightly. "The mountains are my favorite part. I like hiking up into them and exploring. They're really the only area left that doesn't have roads and cars and people and everything." She smiled lightly. "I could show you some pictures, if you want." She jumped slightly as another girl appeared.
