“Seriously? That sounds terrible,” Lucy responded, tone trailing off slowly in thought as she glanced away from him. “What does your true form look like?”
“Seriously? That sounds terrible,” Lucy responded, tone trailing off slowly in thought as she glanced away from him. “What does your true form look like?”
"Um…Scary? Almost all guardians look terrifying to most creatures," Sam said, drinking his tea
“So, pretty much not like a normal human?” Lucy questioned further, fingers lightly trailing over the pillows material.
Sam shook his head. "No. This is a sort of temporary form. Or one that I prefer at least. The intricacies of it is difficult to explain. But at least I don't look like I would eat your children in this form," he said, sliding the pillow up so he could rest his head on it a little
“Well, I’m thankful that you don’t look like that either,” Lucy responded with a faint, joking smile. She let go of the pillow for a moment, only to tug up the blanket a bit more.
(Orion would be so upset if you ate his children, ie Each Other)
"But if you must know, I look like this." He held out his hand, and his palm glowed white hot. Metal began to extend from his hand, and it took the shape of a lion. It had two tails, and its mane flamed for a moment before turning to bright red metal. It had four eyes, and several burning glyphs that looked like his tattoos lined its sides. Several dots of crystal that looked like rubies dotted its face and shoulders. He waited for it to form before reaching over and setting it on the couch next to Lucy
(Lmao)
Lucy sat up a bit, proving herself up against her elbow as she looked at the lion-like figure. “Wow… That looks more amazing than terrifying, at least in my opinion,” she said, eyes big with interest.
"Yes, well, I'm far more intimidating when I'm 20 feet tall and covered in fire."
“Twenty feet, huh?” Lucy questioned, raising her eyebrows. “Sounds just like a big, fiery cat to me,” she continued, smiling softly and she continued to look at the figure.
"I'm not a cat," he huffed, finishing the last of his tea. He set it aside, now feeling a little drowsy
“A lion is a certain type of big cat, so technically, I believe you are, Sammy,” Lucy responded, hugging the pillow close as she smiled.
"Fight me," he said, squishing his face into the pillow. He could feel himself slowly falling asleep on the floor, and at this point didn't care
Lucy chuckled and muttered something to herself, shifting slightly on the couch as she attempted to grow more comfortable. She could tell he was beginning to fall asleep, the way his energy shifted to something more calm. She exhaled softly, shifting so her back was to him. She bit her bottom lip, her mind beginning to wonder.
Sam ended up falling asleep within a few minutes, which didn't normally happen. It was probably the tea or something he idly wondered before slipping into an peaceful, dreamless sleep
Lucy allowed herself to stay awake for a few more minutes. She had to admit, she was growing fond of Sam. But she scolded herself. That’s how things spiraled downhill the last time, getting emotionally attached. She but the inside of her cheek before shutting her eyes and doing her best to drift off to sleep as well.
(quick time skip to when they're awake?)
(Yeah, sounds good)
Sam woke up a few hours later, not realizing that he had fallen asleep. It had been so long since he'd last had any kind of nightmare-less sleep. He rolled over, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Frowning, he looked up at Lucy. He still hadn't figured out why he cared about her so much, and didn't want to figure it out at the moment
Lucy shifted slightly in her light slumber, still loosely hugging the pillow. She had set her glasses aside, on the floor next to her bag, so she could get more comfortable. Though, it was hard to be fully comfortable on the small-ish couch, and it left her curled up with her knees pulled up a tad.
Sam kept looking at her, assuming she was still asleep. She looked just like every other human, so why did she seem so different? Why couldn't things like this be simple, like protecting his city? Sure it was better than dealing with the gods, but it was still annoying
There was a sudden beeping noise that began coming from the satchel and Lucy shifted, a soft hum coming from her throat as she shifted to reach into her bag, pulling out her phone. She squinted at the alert, before switching it off and tossing it into the bag. She rubbed at her eyes sleepily, not yet noticing that Sam was awake.
Sam almost immediately rolled over when Lucy woke up, deciding that staring at the carpet was far more interesting
Lucy sensed a bit of movement nearby, and turned her head to squint at Sam, his figure slightly blurry because she didn’t have her glasses on. She sat herself up, trying her best to be quiet, assuming he was asleep. She winced, her neck and head feeling more sore then the sharp pains that she felt earlier. She picked up her glasses, putting them on. She also tied her russet hair into a loose bun, a few strands not fitting, so they fell loosely by her face. She shifted her feet so they were on the floor and hesitantly tried to stand up, holding onto the arm of the couch for support.
Sam rolled back over to look at her, doing his best to pretend he was just waking up. "You're loud," he grumbled, blinking a bit to make it seem a little more believable. He didn't quite know why he felt the need to pretend he just woke up, but went with it anyways
“Oh, sorry,” Lucy responded quickly, biting her lower lip. She managed to stand, but kept her hand against the arm of the couch just in case.
"At least you got a couch," Sam said, bones popping as he sat up to stretch. His aviator jacket had fallen partially off his shoulder, and his hair was messier than usual. The collar of his button down was wrinkled so that the ends of what looked like a large tattoo on his back different from the runes on his skin was partially visible
"I'm not a cat," he huffed, finishing the last of his tea. He set it aside, now feeling a little drowsy
(No, he's a dog now remember?)
(lol)
(I wanna rp so bad rnnnnnn)
