She let go if him a little and laughed, but it came out like a weird sob. "I will. Gabriel will behave, I know. But… I think Gabe will keep an eye on Kissa too. He–oh my word, Ben." she gasped, looking up at him. "I heard him say so many words right after we escaped. Like we flew away and then hid in the woods and tried to get the glass out of him and Kissa got super mad and he like yelled at her! Not like, really yelled, but like, Gabe yelled. He was super upset at her and so I think he will definitely make her behave and keep her in line. But I'll watch too, I promise. I think she'll be okay once she settles in and learns how much we love each other and that this isn't so bad. But yes she might be bad a few times."
–
"Oh boy." Miki whispered to Cage. "This might actually be bad."
Cage sits back, his eyes wide. “Omg they were actually reading each other’s minds.” He whispers
——-
Ben raises an eyebrow, letting go and taking one step back. “He actually spoke?”
"Yes!" Silver cried, clapping her hands together. "He did! And so many words all together. I thought he just said a couple at a time and that was it, but he actually for real talks to Kissa when he gets upset at her. It's awesome."
–
Miki clapped her hand over her mouth to cover her gaping jaw. "How do they do that???"
Ben squints, both eyebrows raised.
“He did? But not loudly though. Very quiet?”
——-
Cage takes Miki’s hand, still staring. “Imma ask him to teach me later.” He whispers.
Kiss goes to yank her wrist away, but it’s unsuccessful.
“Let GO, Gabriel!” She hisses.
He keeps hold and stares at her, concentrating with a glare.
“No.”
Silver nodded. "Oh, yes, he still keeps his voice down. I don't think Gabriel could ever be actually loud. But it's loud for him, you know. Just to talk. At all."
–
"Yes! I wanna know too. Oh my goodness Cage can you imagine sending secret messages to each other in your brain??"
Ben looks at the door, hearing a little commotion outside. “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever heard him actually… speak.”
——
Kissa raises her wings as best as she can behind her, though they still can’t go full-span in the house.
They wouldn’t hurt me if I rat your little friends out.
He tightens his grip and she gasps.
“Ouch! Stop that.”
“Stop threatening and just be grateful for once.” He hisses.
Cage scoots closer to Miki, avoiding Kissa’s wing.
“This is intense man. I wanna mind talk.”
Silver glanced toward the door, suddenly feeling the tension in the air, as if the very space around them might snap. "Um. Yeah, he um…" she fluttered to the door and peeked her head out into the hallway. "He's actually talking right now."
–
Miki put her arm around Cage's shoulders and held him closer. "I wonder if all mind-talking ends in real-fighting."
Ben walks out of the door, looking over the scene. “What are they doing? They’re not going to break the house, right?”
Kissa flaps her wings once, raising her feet off of the ground and sending a bookshelf toppling to the ground. She goes to speak, but Ben does first.
“Stop! Augh, don’t break things!” He walks out into the living room, holding his hands out. “Look at the bookshelf!”
Gabriel is startled and lets go of Kissa, turning around while Kissa simultaneously falls to the ground, seemingly asleep. Gabriel looks from the shelf to Ben. “I- I’m so sorry. I-“ his breathing quickens and he looks Ben over.
Ack, he’s bigger than Airrow.
Silver followed Ben, stepping around him to see what was happening. She glanced over the bookshelf and then flicked her hand. The shelf rose up until it stood rightly against the wall again, and one by one the books flew up to their shelves.
"Hey," she said to Gabe, slowly approaching him. "It's not your fault."
Miki gave Cage a squeeze. "Whoa, did you see what she did??"
Cages eyes widen. “Ah I wish my element was aaaair.”
Gabriel quickly disappears and gulps. “I’m sorry.” He quickly states again.
Cage looks around to Kissa. “Is she okay???” He whispers to Miki.
Ben sighs, rolling his eyes. “It’s fine, just- just don’t do it again.” He looked around the nothingness that used to hold Gabriel.
Silver sighed and smiled a little, carefully feeling around until she found his arm. "Come here, darling." She said quietly. She gently–but firmly–gripped his hand and lead him down the hallway until she found the master bedroom. There was a large, walk-in closet and she flicked the light on so he could see it. "Here." She said, turning to where she knew he was, even though she couldn't see him. "Why don't you rest a while here where it's quiet and calm."
"I don't know." Miki whispered back. "She kinda looks like she's dead but I think she's still breathing."
Ben watches Silver leave, hand in hand with thin air. He runs his temples and sighs.
I threw my life away the moment I decided I’d watch that skinny, invisible vampire.
He turns and walks to Violet, his back to the living room. “We need to teach him not to do that.” He whispers.
She shrugs, “it seems…” her voice fades and she beads towards Kissa. “Oh my.”
Gabriel stays still in the closet, his brow creased and his wings flopped on the ground on either side of him.
Okay.
Silver turned the light back off and gave him a little wave before returning to the living room. She paused in the doorway and placed her hands in her hips, her gaze falling on Cage and her sister on the couch, staring at Kissa.
"What are you two doing?" She asked, face contorted in confusion.
Cage looks up to Silver suddenly. “She all of the sudden just flopped on the floor!” He points to Kissa. “Did she pass out?!”
Violet bends down beside her, trying not to step or sit on her wings.
“She’s fine… just sleeping I think, actually. That’s odd.”
Silver rolled her eyes and flung herself out on the floor, giving her arms and wings a stretch. "I think it's something Gabe did to her. He did that to me once and I just slept really hard. She'll be okay." She opened an eye and looked up at her sister. "Did you two just sit there and watch them fight?"
Miki nodded. "I think they can talk to each other with their minds."
Cage bounces up and walks to Silver. “Wait let me try.”
He stares at her very hard, his eyebrows creased together. After a moment he whispers, “can you hear me?”
Ben, exasperated, rolls his eyes. “Augh, Cage you’re so stupid.” He sets at the table and takes out his tablet, scrolling. He pauses and bites the inside of his lip for a second.
Silver watched him, one eyebrow raised. Finally her mask broke and she burst out in giggles, wrapping her arms around her stomach. "Oh my word Cage, noooooo. It's a special thing Gabe has. It's like one of his powers. And Kissa can hear him. Or something. I don't exactly know how it works but it doesn't work with me; I always have to guess what he's thinking." she rolled onto her side, still giggling.
Miki scrambled off the couch and sat next to Cage beside Silver. "Okay but they were fighting like so intense but they were barely speaking and it was so freaky and cool! Do they do that a lot?"
Violet leaves Kissa's side to stand by Ben and they whisper as he shows her stuff on the tablet. She pulls up a seat by him.
Cage starts to giggle, pushing Silver playfully. "They're kinda scary. I like them."
Silver gave Cage a shove with her wing, knocking him over. "Kissa is scary. Gabe is just…"
Miki raised her eyebrows. "Gabe is what?"
Silver rolled her eyes and gave a dramatic sigh. "Gabe is just. That's all. He's just."
Miki poked Silver in the ribs. "Nah, there's more."
Silver put her hand over Miki's face and pushed her away. "You shut up."
Cage lays down. "Gabriel is so quiet. How do you hold a conversation with him? Is it possible?"
(We can time skip like 30 minutes if you want)(And they'll all just be asleep XD)
Silver ignored Miki trying to tickle her more and looked at Cage. "Um. It's interesting. It's usually mostly me guessing what he's thinking and just begging him to actually say something. And then he'll say like… three words." She shrugged. "I think he likes it when I talk though."
Miki gave up her tickling and snuggled next to her sister. "I think he just likes you."
Silver covered Miki's face again and yawned. "I said shush."
Cage yawns. giggling while doing so. "When do you think Kissa will wake up? She's kinda… Fun."
Silver gave a snort-laugh, even as her eyes drifted closed. "Cage, your version of fun is weird. Kissa's wild and mean and dangerous. Wha' pard of dat is fun?" her words began to slur.
Cage shrugs, yawning again and blinking slowly. "Mmmhn. I think she'll be fun to teach things…. May… beee…" His voice drifts off and he closes his eyes.
"Teash her to be nice, maybe." Silver muttered, slowly stroking Miki's red hair as her sister slept on her shoulder. "If anyone can teash her to be nice… i's you, Cage." Her eyes finally fell shut and she let out a sigh, her breath regulating as she drifted off to sleep.
The room goes silent, the only sounds of soft, relaxed breathing to be heard. Violet looks over the room after a few minutes.
"Ben." She whispers, a smile crossing her lips.
He looks out over the room, all of them asleep on the floor. "Hmm. You'd think with two couches they would've slept somewhere else."
She rolls her eyes, smiling. "Looks like we wore em out."
He shakes his head, returning his attention to the tablet. "They wore themselves out. They're wild animals, I swear." He mumbles.
He clicks on something. "This one? In Spain?"
She nods. "Yes. It's the most secure."
(That's okay)(we were planning on just ending it right here if you wanna make a final post :))(Thank you so much for being in this RP with us Rocky <3)
