It was a sunny day, but you wouldn't know it, not if you were looking up at the front of Faeshire Manor. The large building seemed to suck in the sunlight, the sky loosing it's blue hue against the sharp lines of the roof, but instead of giving off a glow the ancient home seemed to douse that light. Forcing it deep within it's dusty corridors and snuffing it out with a silent, horrifying scream.
The manor was once beautiful, one could suppose it still was, the peak of grandeur when it was built in the early 1800s. Large with a grand arching staircase, wide Roman pillars, a ballroom large enough to host the entire social life of New York and then some, gardens wondrous enough to get lost in. The Manor was truly a wonder of it's age, even with it's boarded up windows and layers upon layers of dust, grime, and other unspeakable things… and yet…
Unseen eyes followed anyone that stepped foot on the drive, howls shook the boards of the floors, hoofed foot prints appeared and disappeared without a trace, much like to people who dared venture within. Something evil was in that house, they whispered, too many deaths to count, too many horrors to speak of anymore. So it lay forgotten in the middle of a once lovely forest.
In the upper most window of the left tower, a pale face looked out through one of the few unbroken windows. If you looked away she would vanish, but if you looked closer you'd see that the young woman didn't bother with her general appearance at this time, she wasn't even sure that she was visible to the eye, so instead of her kind melancholy face, she looked as she did when the cops had found her. Gaping wound where her heart should be, deep purple bands of violence around her throat, mouth open in a anguished scream, dirty scratches stretching from her hairline to the base of her neck, her simple gown in tatters. Despite her appearance this spirit would be, and is, referred to as the 'Light of Faeshire'. A lovely spirit plagued with sorrow as she tries to break free of the oppression holding her. The oppression holding the house in it's feral grip.
She was just so lonely.

Until recently.
Until today.
Welcome to Faeshire Manor.

Sheena stood in the drive, tucking her sunglasses into the pocket of her leather jacket, pulling it tighter around her. "Is it just me, or is it weirdly cold?" She asked, looking up at the house. "Seriously, how bad could this ghost be that it's already cold out? We're still a few yards from the damn house!"

@Simon-Says

Genissa breathed in the air emanating from the house, feeling a strong presence. "The ghost is very strong," she explained loudly, staring up at one of the windows. She blinked rapidly, trying to sense more information about the ghost, but couldn't see anything.

Mimi stood at her window, looking out past the tall trees. She loved the view. The city was just beyond the trees and it lit up the sky at night. The yearning she felt was enough to make her form flicker, enough to make her wail in despair every second of every day, but she had control over that now. At least somewhat.
"There's people on the lawn." The echo whisper of another spirit, this one a small child that came up to hold Mimi's hand as he spoke. The house rumbled, that pulsating darkness in the basement awakening. Both Mimi and the boy shuddered. "The demon…" The boy started, but vanished as quickly as he came. Mimi looked once more out the window, raising her hands to the glass. "So many people lately." She said to no one. It was true, the constant barrage of people the past….weeks, was it? Days? How long had it been since she died again? Mimi shook her head forcefully trying to focus. All these people were just causing more unrest.
She didn't like it, but at the same time…
She wanted to be free.

Tyfer stood with his hands on his hips, staring at the dizzyingly high towers. He shivered. He was always cold, but this was more so than usual. Pulling at his knit, ugly patterned sweater, he cast a look at each of the members of his team. "This should be interesting."

Dijona exploded out of the front seat from where he was driving, joining the posse a little late with some cameras in his arms. He liked the chill that was mentioned. Not only did it send chills down his spine, but it made him excited. Chills usually meant ghosts and other spooky things.

"Hell yeah it'll be interesting! Let's go in and get some footage!" He tugged on a random body part he found of one of his crew and started dragging them over to the mansion. "Wow this place is great!" He exclaimed like a child in a candy shop as he threw open the door like he owned the damn place.

Night was approaching, she could feel it like an anchor dragging her down to the bottom of the sea. Mimi moaned, clutching her head to stay focused. "You are not mad. You are not evil." She chanted quietly. It worked…barely.
Her head snapped up as a bang echoed through the halls and rooms of the manor and voices were carried on the air from downstairs. The house rumbled in response. Like a cobra raising it's head and preparing to strike.
Curious, Mimi dropped through the floor to investigate.

(I got some messed up hauntings planned so be prepared. Also- my lovely psychic let's plan to have a seance yea? That way ya'll can chat with Mimi some more and all the fun stuff can get going. :D)

@Norepinephrinxx

TD followed the others into the mansion, making sure to get video of the outside of the manor and some of the crews first reactions apon seeing and or entering the giant structure. It most definitely looked like the kind of place that would be haunted and through stories he had heard about the place he thought it would be best to film as much of it as possible.

@CWPoofToxicRush

Sheena looked around once inside. "Damn, these people must have been loaded." She said, blinking. "Uh, what was the story here again? I think I zoned out earlier."

@Moxie group

Lin decided she would let someone else answer that question. Besides, she had work to do. She pulled a small black box with a red screen out of her backpack. She held it up around the house, watching the numbers on the screen rise and fall. The box was an EMF meter and read the temperature and the EMF of the general area.
