"Yeah so I have to wait until everyone else is done so that they don't run the risk of someone dying."

Draven laughed. Actually laughed. “Well, why did they stick me in here with you? I just burn people to death.”

"Because they're hoping if I have a cellmate that they'll calm me down enough to do some more experiments."

“Oh.” His face wrinkled with disgust. “They do the experiments on you too?”

"Course they do. Why wouldn't they?" She raised an eyebrow at him. What did he expect them to do with her?

He shrugged. “Thought you’d be able to get out of them.”

"Nope! Tried to a couple of times. Almost got shot."

"Fun!" He grinned, showing his teeth. "How many times?"

"Five? Maybe six? Don't completely remember. Either way, it was enough times for them to put me in my good old friend Mr. Straightjacket."

Draven snickered. "Wow. And how long have you worn that?"

"About three months. Or at least, that's what the voices tell me." She shrugged.

"The voices?"

"Yeah! What, you don't have any? Actually, what am I saying, of course you don't. Schizophrenia doesn't effect every mentally unstable person."

Draven snorted. "I have other things wrong with me. That's just one of the few things I don't have."

"Really now? Interesting." She leaned against the wall, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "So, what got you thrown in here?"

"A lot of stuff," he said, smirking at her. "I burned down some things, for one."

"So I've heard. Alright pyromancer, what else happened that forced you to be stuck in here with me?"

"I managed to get into the pants of my guard. Four times. They wanted me in a place where I couldn't find someone to fuck."

"You too? I thought I was just crazy! No wait, I am crazy. Just for a different reason." She chuckled. "Guards around here are so easy to manipulate."

"Right?" He smiled at her, teeth bared.

"You'd think these scientists who are supposed to be the smart ones would learn to put smarter guards with the crazy people. Or at least stronger willed ones." She blew a piece of hair out of her face, smiling to herself.

"But why would they do that?" Draven snorted sarcastically. "Where would be the fun in that?"

"Less fun for us and more control for them. Because apparently locking people in padded boxes with nothing but their own thoughts to keep them company isn't enough for them."

"What, really? Why not? I think it's been so successful." He rolled his eyes. "But honestly, you're the sanest person I've met here. And that's saying something." He smirked at her, silver eyes flashing.

(After a full month, this is alive again)
Her mouth popped open in mock surprise. "Really? Little ol' me? That's…quite disappointing considering I'm one of the more psychotic ones here. I would know, I spent a year in maximum security."

(I'm sorry. I haven't been on for three weeks.)

He shrugged. "Haven't we all." He ran a hand through his messy hair, grinning.

(Nah, it's all good)
"I think that answer is a resounding no. Only the truly crazy ones spend time in the even smaller padded hellscape they call maximum security. Like us!"

"You know, they say that the ones in the asylum that are truly insane are the ones that don't act like it."

"Then I guess that means us, doesn't it?" She tossed her hair out of her face, a slight smile pulling at her lips.

"Oh, completely." Draven smirked. "Psychopaths to the core."
