"Well there you go, something you didn't know about yourself, " Wolf said lightly, his eyes crinkling with a smile.
"Well there you go, something you didn't know about yourself, " Wolf said lightly, his eyes crinkling with a smile.
“I…thank you,” He mumbled with a smile. “So…so you…”
Wolf tilted his head, waiting for Bridge to continue.
“Like me?” Bridge squeaked nervously.
Wolf hummed and moved his arms so that he could count on his fingers as he spoke. "Well, you're cute and adorable. Definitely my type in the regard that you're incredibly unique–and cute. I like talking to you, and you have the best reactions to my compliments." He looked over at Bridge with an arched brow. "What do you think?"
Bridge blushed again, nodding silently. No one had ever liked him before, except his mother, but certainly not in this way. He looked away, smiling a little.
Wolf caught the smile, and one bloomed on his lips as well. And there was the adorable blush again. He had a feeling that he'd be seeing it after all that he said.
Bridge looked back at him, blushing at Wolf's very smile, before making a small, high-pitched squeak and throwing the blanket over his head again to hide it.
Wolf laughed lightly and pushed himself up, rolling off of the bed to take off his shoes and search his bag for what he had available. Well, if there were some vending machines here, he might be able to break into them to snatch some food. He had limited clothes, but the electricity seemed to be working, so there had to be a laundry room somewhere here.
Bridge peeked out from his blanket, only his eyes showing, watching Wolf silently. He's really pretty. I…I kind of want to kiss him. What's it like?
"I'm going to see if there's any vending machines around here," Wolf announced, his back to Bridge as he dug through his bag for a lockpick. "D'you wanna come with or stay here in your comfort fort?"
"Um…" Bridge looked around, once at him and once at his own fort. "I think I'll go with you." He pushed some blankets aside and stood, following after him.
"Kay." Wolf pulled out a few lockpicks and stuck them in his back pocket, then opened the room door for Bridge to go through. "Let's see if there's anything good to have for the time being."
"Okay," He agreed happily, grabbing Wolf's arm again and blushing a bit as he did so.
Wolf chuckled as he looked down and saw Bridge's blush. Once again, he murmured to himself, "Too cute." He led them down the hall to where he thought he might've spotted a vending machine.
"Look! There's one," Bridge said, pointing to what was indeed a functional-looking vending machine hidden in the corner.
"Mhm." Wolf headed over to it, then pulled out his lockpicks as he searched for the lock that would open the glass separating them from the food. It's tedious work, but it's easier than coughing up a bunch of money every time they were hungry.
Bridge watched him curiously, looking down and getting an idea. He reached down and put his hand in the slot where food was emptied, grabbing a bag of chips from inside and pulling them out.
Wolf looked down and chuckled when he saw Bridge. "You do that while I try to get this open," he said as he found the lock. He pulled out his lockpicks, putting one between his teeth just in case the other one broke, and started working on finagling the lock.
Bridge nodded, doing the same for a pack of oreos, and then another bag of chips before the little click of a lock opening was heard. "You did it!"
"Look out," Wolf said as he opened the glass door of the vending machine. He pocketed both lockpicks as he did so, his eyes roaming around the selection curiously. He wasn't very hungry at the moment, but it's nice to know what he was in the mood for later.
Bridge stepped back as he opened the door, coming up behind him again with a small smile. "That's a lot."
"Well, we should be good on food for a while," Wolf said as he grabbed a cinnamon roll and some doughnuts from the machine. His hand was lightly pressed against Bridge's back as he did so.
Bridge blushed but didn't pull away at the touch, nodding and pressing his lips together. "Yeah. I think so."
"You want to see if there are any more, or just call it a night?" he asked, dropping his hand and looking over at Bridge with an arched brow.
"I…I kind of want to sleep. We - we can look in the morning, though." He admitted, tilting his head.
Wolf nodded and closed the vending machine door. "That sounds good to me. I'm just gonna stay up for a little bit to do some reading."
"Okay." Bridge agreed, nodding. "That's fine."
Wolf ushered Bridge forward as he went back to their room. He had a passing thought that there was only one bed, but it was big enough that it shouldn't be a problem.
Bridge stepped through the doorway, jumping onto the bed again with a smile, immediately covering himself with the blanket again.
