Marco sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Whatever… we can ask him at a reasonable hour. I'll keep watch."

Skye nodded, laying down with Lucas
Lucas found himself next to Skye when he woke up at dawn, holding tighter to him. He winced when he moved, remembering what had happened in the early hours of the morning. Everything still hurt.
Skye had been up for awhile, holding Lucas quietly. Looking down at him as he stirred he gently rubbed the other's back, trying to help.
Lucas flinched slightly when Skye's hand moved, not expecting the other to be awake, but he soon relaxed. "I'm sorry… about everything."
"It's alright," he murmured,
"But I woke you up in the middle of the night, panicked, and blew up a clearing…"
"So? I'm nocturnal anyway," said Skye, "You were having issues, and I wanna be there for you when that happens, and believe me if I knew how to help you I would…"
"I'd help you there, but I forgot how to help myself when I gave up five years ago…" Lucas blinked away tears. "I-I just sort of stopped caring about my own wellbeing entirely…"
Skye hummed sadly, pulling him closer again. "I still won't leave you alone." He said firmly.
Lucas let out a shaky breath, a couple tears rolling down his cheeks as he tightly hugged Skye, hiding his face in the other's chest. The pink puffs of magic returned as well. Lucas had forgotten what it felt like to actually be loved, and he really didn't want to let Skye go for fear of losing that feeling again.
Skye noticed this, and pulled the other on top of him, hugging him and rubbing his back.
Lucas cried softly, not even minding being confined for the time being. He knew he needed this, and badly. This kind of healthy physical interaction that he couldn't fully appreciate, but really wanted to.
(I feel like it'd be interesting if Skye read his thoughts at some point)
(Skye wouldn't do that at this point. He has extremely strong morals concerning his abilities as a telepath, the last thing he's gonna do is read the other's thoughts without permission.)
Skye hugged him gently, firmly, but gently.
"I'm sorry again…" Lucas whispered, pulling his head away from Skye. "For this especially, b-but I think I need it." He kissed Skye, wrapping his arms around his neck.
Skye gently pressed back into the kiss, unable le fo help but smile as their lips met.
Lucas eventually pulled away and hid his red face again. The puffs of magic had turned a deep pink as well, and more of it appeared.
Skye smiled brightly, "Love you…"
"L-Love you too…" Lucas said quietly, holding Skye tighter. He was still pretty flustered, but overall not unhappy.
(Marco: watching I SHIP IT)
Skye smiled, pressing another kiss to his forehead.
Lucas didn't really want to move, but he was starting to feel anxious about the confinement again and they needed to get moving anyways, so he slowly retreated from Skye.
Skye let him go, watching him carefully.
Lucas forced the puffs of magic to fade and stood up unsteadily. "W-We should really get going soon…"
Skye hummed, nodding. "Yes, but you still need to rest.."
"I know… I already rested though, didn't I?"
Skye hummed, "You look like you're about to fall over" commented Marco from across the clearing.
"That's… that's entirely fair…" Lucas said, holding up his pointer finger for emphasis while he swayed. Honestly, he was very lightheaded and his vision kept going weird, but he wasn't going to say that.
Skye hummed, "Right, how many fingers am I holding up?" he asked, holding up two fingers.
"Uh…" Lucas looked between his fingers, blinking. They kept… blurring. "T-Three…? Maybe?"
Skye sighed, "Two, now com'ere before you fall flat on your face."
