Hmm… that one is kinda cute! One thing I've always found interesting is using multiple AUs…

Oh, that's a good idea!
Hmm… I've always liked the soulmate mark, and shared song ones…
What if we combined the shared writing one with one where the first words you say to your soulmate in person are written on them somewhere?
But shared song ones are really cool too. :/ so many options
How about name and first words? And song?
Sounds good!
Just to clarify, you have your soulmate's name and the first words they'll speak to you as your soulmate marks, and when they sing/hum a song you hear it in your head.
For the song part I was thinking they each know this random unique tune and no one else knows it..
Not the other one where they hear whatever song the other is singing..
Okay, thanks for clearing that up for me! Now that we know kinda what we're doing, where should we start? Or should I just post a starter and see where it goes?
I like the second option best, it usually turns out better, or worse, and if it doesn't turn out than we'll start over!
Rad. Gimme a sec and I'll have one right up
YEE!
Glenn sunk down into an overstuffed armchair at his favorite coffee shop, greatfully clutching a cup of black coffee in his hands. Today would have been exhausting even if he hadn't gotten a measly 3 hours of sleep the night before. But he had, and now he was practically nodding off in public. God, he didn't know if he'd be able to walk home in this condition.
Rykah sat quietly under a tree, hood up to hide his ears, his tail inadvertently hidden under his leg as he studied the drawing he'd been working on. the drawing in question was one of the buildings before him, his pencil case open beside him.
Glenn finished up his coffee, praying it would give him the energy to make the walk home. As he left the shop, he could already tell it was going to be tough. His head was swimming with his soulmate song, which he normally liked but was giving him a headache right now, and his vision was starting to swim. Shit! The last thing he saw before collapsing was a cute boy with bright red hair.
Rykah looked up to check the values and shading on one of the buildings, but blinked in surprise when he saw a passerby collapse. Quickly setting his book aside he rushed over, his wings flared in alarm, and tail flicking nervously as he checked the guy's pulse, unsure of what to do.
Glenn forced his eyes open when he felt hands on his neck, but he couldn't muster up much more than a confused hum. Despite his lackluster response externally, internally he was freaking out. Sure, he didn't normally get enough sleep, but he'd never collapsed before! What was he supposed to do!?
Rykah heard the hum, and quickly realized the stranger was still semi awake. his art forgotten behind him he gently lifted the other up andoff the path, pulling him into a sitting position against the tree, "Are you okay?" he asked quietly.
As soon as Glenn heard the words- heard his words- he managed to wake himself up enough to push himself out of the stranger's arms. God, hopefully this wasn't his soulmate. He'd probably die of embarrassment if he was. He briskly tried to push himself to his feet, failing miserably. "I'm fine! You can just keep doing what you're doing and I'll be on my way-" he failed to stand again "-just as soon as I can"
Rykah was more concerned with the other's wellbeing that it didn't occur to him that those were his soulmate's words. "I don't think you;re going anywhere…" he said softly, kneeling next to him and cleaning up his pencils and sketchbook. "What happened?"
"Nothing. I'm a-okay." Glenn flashed a shaky smile as he leaned against the tree in defeat. Today was just going to suck, wasn't it? First, he'd missed the bus to work, and then he'd had to fill out three times the paperwork he normally did, and now this stranger was trying to help him when he'd probably be just fine. Maybe. If he could just get his legs to work. "Sorry I messed up your drawing," he said, noticing the pencils scattered across the ground.
"It's alright… I can always do another.." said Rykah, putting his things away, "Do you need help getting home?" he asked softly, feeling a little bit self conscious after the other mentioned his art.
Glenn wanted to say no, in fact, the word had half forced its way out of his mouth before he realized exactly what could happen if the stranger left. Heaving a disheartened sigh, he answered "I don't think I have much of a choice. Could you help me stand?" He could feel his cheeks heating as he asked for help. He hadn't relied on another person in a long time and this whole situation was completely embarrassing.
Rykah nodded, shoving his things in the small bag he'd brought, before helping the other to his feet, one wing wrapping around him for support, "Where do you live?" he asked.
Wings. Okay, that was new, but Glenn had lived here long enough not to care too much about what kind of creature someone was. He leaned heavily on the stranger, hoping he wouldn't collapse again. "One block to the left and two blocks forward. I live in the Hanging Gardens- that new apartment building."
(gtg, diner)
Rykah nodded, "Alright.." he said, moving to take the other home, supporting his weight with minimal difficulty. About 20 minutes later they were at the Hanging Gardens, and Rykah's hood had blown back to reveal his wolf ears. "So.. which apartment?" he asked, not planning on leaving until he was sure the other was gonna be okay.
(gtg, diner)
(Okay, see ya!)
(I'm back! Might have to leave a little later to do some chores, but for now, I'm on.)
