Taylor smirked. "You can't use curse words with her. She's plenty used to those."
Laura's heart pounded. God, no, please, no.

Laura's heart pounded. God, no, please, no.
"Aren't we all." Cassie mused, flashing Laura a look, before looking back to the list.
Lloyd sort of wanted to intervene and get everyone to stop fighting, but he knew it would end badly. And somehow, Rachel would expose to everyone that he wasn't even human. He knew she would love to have that kind of dirt to pass around.
"Especially her," Taylor shot back, starting so hard at Laura that made her feel like a bug under a microscope. It felt like everyone was staring…
Rachel let out a sharp laugh, "Well that's fucking disappointing. I guess we can find some other way to get back at bitch and trash. I know plenty of secrets I would love to spill."
Lillian's head snapped up and placed herself between Laura and the other girls. She took a harsh, but idiotic step forward, "And I know plenty on you Rachel. So fuck off."
Cassie looked over at Rachel, unconcerned and apathetic as always. "Funny. Makes it sound like ya actually know anythin' about me."
Rachel glared back at Cassie, "I'm not talking to you."
"Oh, good. No problem yet then." Cassie gave an obviously fake smile, not even trying, that just looked like someone pulled on the corners of her mouth. And then she pulled out her phone and was texting again.
Rachel rolled her eyes and muttered, "Great, then leave fucker."
"No can do, babe." Cassie said, waving a hand dismissively. "I don' ditch on people. And that one-" She gestured to Lillian. "-has garnered my favor. I gotta take a call." That was that, apparently, as she answered her phone after one ring and hopped off the stage, holding it to her ear as she plopped down in the first row.
Lillian shot Cassie a grateful smile. Someone was actually going to come to her rescue, that was a first in a long time.
Rachel scowled and her eyes narrowed at Cassie. She stormed up to the other girl, "Now what the hell do you think your doing?"
((She is talking to Cassie, right?))
(Yeah.)
Cassie raised an eyebrow, continuing to speak to the person on the other end as she held up a finger to Rachel. "Oh, yeah, definitely. Tell Pickaxe the spot's his, if he can trade me. I like the later times."
Rachel leaned back and tapped her foot, "I asked you what the fuck do you think your doing?"
Cassie covered the phone with her hand as she pulled it away from her ear to speak. "I know. But dontcha know it's rude t' interrupt someone while they're on the phone?" With that, she returned to chatting about switching 'spots' with someone for something.
Rachel was about ready to just grab the phone from Cassie's hand, "You're helping that bitch. But you barely know her."
Cassie raised an eyebrow in a 'so?' gesture, not pausing her sentence to speak to Rachel.
Rachel glared at her and shouted, "Because she's the living embodiment of the devil! To be friends with her is to live a life of toxicity!"
Cassie rolled her eyes. "Look, Gage, I gotta go. See ya tonight." She hung up the phone, uncrossing her legs to rest her forearms on her knees as she leaned forward. "Uh huh. Your proof?"
"I was friends with her for years," Rachel said not need to lie about that, "I know just how horrible she is.'
Cassie's eyes flickered to Lillian, then back to Rachel, looking as unimpressed as always. "That ain't proof in my book. She don' seem all that bad, unlike you."
"I'm a doll how could you say that," Rachel looked at her flabbergasted and taken aback, "She's the nasty one! What the hell did you do anyway?!"
Laura watched with wide, fearful eyes from beside Lillian.
Taylor scowled at Cassie as well, supporting Rachel from behind.
"You can't honestly believe that." Cassie snorted dryly, rolling her eyes. "Stuff and things, things and stuff, none of your business. You look upset. Maybe ya should sit down an' take a deep breath."
"It is my business if it has to do with Lillian," Rachel said her name with malice and hate.
Lillian was frozen and couldn't move. On one hand she had gained another ally in this hellscape of a school, on the other hand she just pissed off Rachel further.
Laura slowly took Lillian's hand in a friendly gesture and squeezed out. It's going to be okay, she told her silently with a reassuring smile.
"You place too much importance on yourself." Cassie decided, leaning back as she obviously began to get bored again.
Lillian let out a short sigh as she shut her eyes, "I hope to god so."
Rachel scowled, "I should. I'm the one who should have gotten the lead."
"Nah. I'd rather see the show with her as the lead than you." Cassie said, shrugging a shoulder in disinterest. Right back to apathetic, so easily.
