“Uh… name’s Neil. Neil Cyan” the man introduced himself, sitting on a tall wooden stall near the woman named Hinata.

"Nice name." Hinata pulled her phone out again. She sighed softly.

"hello"

Hinata looked up from her phone.
"Hi."

"What is this place?"

"No idea. One moment I'm at my diner, the next, I'm here." She shrugged.
"Honestly I'm used to it by now."

Hmm "ok"

Death, who was growing bored, decided to yeet a crayon at Neil. a cyan colored crayon specifically, because he said that was his name!
he called out happily as he threw it "happy birthday!"
Death had no idea when anyone's birthday was, but that wasn't stopping him.

Neil was initially confused but shrugged it off. He’d seen multiple children during his lifetime, it’s normal for them to something like this. He smiled softly at the kid, picking up the crayon and… rolled it back towards the child.

(Oh god. That's adorable.)

Hinata chuckled when Death threw the crayon at Neil. He was such a man child.

when Neil rolled the crayon back Death nearly screeched in happiness, but settled for excited clapping instead.
Death then looked at Hinata happily, as if to say 'look! I made a friend!'
Hinata reminded him of Life, which was why he kept looking for approval from her.
Death then flicked the crayon back to Neil again. he was having a great time!

Neil grabbed the crayon again. This time, he hid the crayon behind his back. His eyes flashed a cyan color and when he revealed both his hands, there were replicates of the cyan colored crayons between his fingers.
He rolled all of them except one back at Death, he flicked the last one softly at Death after the others reached him.

Hinata smile softly. She was glad they seemed to be having fun.
