"Partly, but not quite. I do think I prefer this over the alternative though." Lily shot back, eyes sparkling with amusement. She could forget, for a moment, about everything, and enjoy the peace and normalcy.

Cinthia jokingly slumped in defeat at not guessing right the first time. "Aw. So what makes us so interesting, in your opinion?"
Lily scrunched up her nose as she though, looking off at the wall. "You've been nothing but kind to me, for starters. All of you that I've met. Your relationships with each other are just interesting to watch, interaction-wise, as well."
Wolf tilted his head curiously. "We have no reason to be assholes, that's why we're so nice."
Cinthia tilted her head the opposite way. "What do you mean, our relationships are interesting to watch?"
"You'd be surprised how many people are assholes, simply because they can be." Lily said, shrugging a shoulder. "And I don't see all that many positive interactions a lot, so it's interesting to watch the differences."
"Hmm," the twins hummed at the same time. "I guess us two are just close by nature, having shared the womb and all. Rhdyar's alright once you get past his childishness. Maggie's just a giant teddy bear that everyone loves," Wolf mused.
She nodded, looking between them as she listened. If only she'd get the chance to actually get to know them. "And all of you are close?"
"Pretty close, yeah." Cinthia nodded. "But it's more like, Rhydar and Magnus, and then us two."
"That might be the age differences." Lily mused, fiddling with her sleeves. She and her sisters had been the same way.
(I never realized how weird it is to be Facebook stalked until today…)
"Maybe," the twins said at the same time. Wolf spoke next, shrugging. "We all get along and all, but we usually go off on our own when we've got some down time."
((Huh?))
"Of course. You can't get along all the time." Lily said, reaching up run a hand through her hair, pulling it away from her face.
((My dad posted two pics of me on his FFDP fan pages, and this one Brazilian dude said I was beautiful, and then proceeded to Facebook stalk my dad to find ME and send me a friend request))
The twins nodded, then looked at each other with a mischievous gleam in their eyes. Their lips quirked up as they looked at Lily. Cinthia asked the other girl, "Hey, you hungry?"
((That's like….hella creepy.))
Lily raised an eyebrow at Cinthia, before looking at Wolf. "I…guess?" The mischievous looks made her wary, but at the same time, curious.
((Why do I always attract the creepy ones?))
Wolf piped up. "How about we go see what's cookin'?" he asked as a slow grin crept up the twins' lips.
Lily wrinkled her nose, but huffed a laugh. "I assume this is the sneaking you were telling me about? Am I going to get first-hand experience of this?"
((Idk man. Be careful tho))
((I'll try))
Cinthia smirked and stood up. "Whatever do you mean? We're royals: we never sneak around." Wolf chuckled and looked to Lily to see if she was up to it.
"That certainly didn't seem to be the case earlier." Lily quipped, shooting an amused look to Cinthia as she stood as well. "It'd be good to learn my way around the castle, so I don't end up lost again."
Wolf was the last to stand, and he offered a hand to Lily. "Milady, mind if I do the honor of showing you around the palace?" Cinthia smothered her laughter as she wordlessly went ahead, scouting out their path to avoid guards and other guests.
Lily snorted, and after a moment of slight hesitation, took the offered hand. "That would be lovely, m'lord." She said, adding on a posh accent as a small smile played on her lips.
He grinned and jerked his head towards the door Cinthia had disappeared through. "C'mon, Cin's making sure the coast is clear."
"Then off we go, on our adventure." She said with a small laugh, leading him out the door. She was looking forward to it, oddly enough.
He chuckled. "I suppose it is an adventure for you." He listened to his sister's silent commands floating into his head, leading Lily through the halls clear of any potential witnesses. He also explained to her the different rooms in the halls.
She listened intently as Wolf explained everything, making a mental map in her head as they went. She studied the walls, the architecture and decorating, slightly amazed at the elegance of it all. This time, her nose wasn't buried in a book, so she was finally getting a chance to look around.
He sighed and finally asked Lily something that's been on his mind since Cinthia told him about her. "Tell me the truth, Lily," he said, looking at her, "Are you actually interested in Rhydar, or are you just here because our mother called you?"
She stilled, the question obviously catching her off guard as her fiddling with her sleeves stopped. She was quiet for a few moments, easy to pass off as hesitance to tell the truth. "Honestly? I'm mostly here because your mother called me." The lie formed easily, as she glanced over at him, rubbing the back of her neck. "But I figure, since I'm here, I'll get to know him and…just kind of see. The two interactions I've had with him already haven't been horrible, and from what Cinthia says, he seems like he's a good guy."
Wolf was quiet for some time as he turned over her words. Something seemed…off…with her words, but he put it off for the time being. "Hmm," was all he could come up with. "I guess it's just all up to you to figure out what you want to do here–and with him."
((Okay okay, I got two options for the why of trying to kill him. Wanna hear?))
Lily nodded, her slightly panicked thoughts coming to a standstill. "Decisions when you don't know what to do are the worst. Hopefully, I'll have enough time to figuring things out."
((yes please))
He laughed slightly and led her down another hall. Once again, it was empty. "Indeed they are. At least you have time to come up with a decision, and not have to come up with one on the fly and stick to it."
"I lied. That's the worst, right there." She said, shaking her head. "And yet, the number of times I've had to do it continues to go up."
((Alright. One involves her backstory, somewhat, but it's like shittily tied and I have issues. Basically, since I'm trying to keep that a fun secret till later, it would be sort of a way to get revenge, not for herself, but for other people, and put an end to [REDACTED]. The second way is smoother, and it's basically she's under the control of someone who wants to take the throne themself. They've got something over her, like the location of one of her family members or something.))
((Hmmm, I like the mystery of the first one, but I also like the simplicity of the second one. Gah, decisions!))
He snorted. "Try being a royal in a political debate, when old men are firing off questions to try and stump us young people with a topic we aren't familiar with." He laughed slightly. "It's fun to see Cin bring up foreign politics."
