"He sort of found me, but no problem." Lloyd laughed quietly. "So, uh… do you have any plans for today?"
"He sort of found me, but no problem." Lloyd laughed quietly. "So, uh… do you have any plans for today?"
“Um, I don’t know, do you want to study for your driving permit exam? I can help quiz you.”
"Alright. Is this the actual knowing how to drive a car or just street laws?"
“Mostly street laws.” She answered, “Pretty easy, anlot Of people pass the test in one try.”
Lloyd nodded. "I already read that textbook, so I should know it. Go ahead and ask anything."
(By the way I can't drive so we'll see how this goes lol)
(Lolol me neither, this should be fun)
“Okay then, so we could go to the BMV now if you want.”
Apollo flipped himself around to crawl into her pocket.
"I-I thought we were just talking about street rules? I don't exactly know how to drive yet…"
“The BMV is where you take the test, it’s alright, there’s now driving involved. We can even walk there.”
"Aren't you testing me to make sure I know it first? I was under the impression that that's what we were doing…"
“Oh! Shoot, I’m sorry, I got confused.” She laughed, face reddening, “Yeah, I can test you now, sorry about that.”
"No problem…" Lloyd sat on the floor, considering he didn't own any chairs.
She took a seat in front of him, “Okay, hm..I’ll have to think of a question, one second.” She stares at the ground for an idea.
Lloyd looked at Apollo's head poking out of Sabina's pocket while he waited.
Apollo blinked at him, happy to be in this highly comfortable situation.
“Okay, how many feet do you have to be from the intersection before you switch on your turn signal to turn?”
"One hundred feet, or thirty meters depending on the measuring system."
“Good. Why shouldn’t you follow other cars too closely?”
"If you need to stop quickly, you could crash into them. I'm sure there are other reasons, but that's what comes to mind."
“Yeah, pretty much. It gives you time to stop, is the technical answer, I think.” She answered.
Lloyd nodded. "I also know that you shouldn't drive cars on sidewalks, but something called bicycles are allowed."
“Technically no, but pretty much yeah.” She nodded, “Pedestrians always have the right of way, though.” She answered.
"What is a bicycle, by the way? Based on the Latin roots, it seems to be something with two wheels, but I can't tell much else."
“That’s basically all it is. It’s a vehicle you How by pumping the pedals with your feet. I’ll show you sometime.”
"Strange… Alright, what else about cars?"
“Hm..I would quiz you about road signs but I don’t have any flash cards.”
"You could describe them? I believe I know my shapes and colors well enough. That's one thing we learn in heaven and on earth."
“Hm…we’ll start easy because it’s the first one I though of. A red octagon with the word Stop.”
"A stop sign. You're supposed to stop the car when you see one. At least, if you're close enough for it to be reasonable."
“Pretty much. What about a yellow sign with children playing on a diagonal rectangle?”
"It means there are children nearby, so slow down the car so you don't run them over."
“Yep, what about one with a truck on it?” She found that one difficult to describe other than just truck.
