Leo looked towards the ground and sighed, “I’m sorry…”
Leo looked towards the ground and sighed, “I’m sorry…”
Elijah dug his palms into his eyes, trying to stop the tears from forming
Leo stood up and quickly walked over, wrapping his arms around Elijah.
Elijah melted into his arms and dug his head into his shoulder. "I'm sorry" he said muffled.
“It’s not your fault…” Leo replied quietly, hiding his face in his chest.
Elijah took serial deep breaths before pulling away. He wiped away a stray tear. "Okay. I'm okay. I'm ready to go home now."
Leo nodded, gathering the chosen clothes and a few extras into the cart, leaving the rest, “Okay. We can come back another time if we need to.”
Elijah nodded. He bounced slightly on the balls of his feet as he followed Leo to go pay for the clothes.
Leo made sure to pay quickly so Elijah didn’t freak out too much at the machines they used. There were quite a few bags to carry but Leo tried to carry them all.
Elijah closed his eyes when they went up to pay. There were too many weird noises and flashing lights and small boxes that lit up. He opened them when they had finished. He took some of the bags from Leo.
Leo smiled in thanks as they headed out of the shop and the mall. It was busier then before as more people were around but most were headed to work and payed them no attention.
Elijah Leo his head down as he walked beside Leo. He was focusing on taking deep breaths.
Luckily the walk back to the apartment wasn't long and soon they were back. Leo fished out his keys and opened the door, placing the bags on the couch.
Elijah walked over to the couch and fell in to it, face first. He let out a loud, muffled whine.
Leo sighed softly, crouching down before sitting on the floor beside him, "You right there?"
Elijah turned his head to face him. "Not really. But I don't have a choice."
Leo gave him a sympathetic look, "Just… give yourself time…"
Elijah nodded. "I know I know. I think it's going to take a long time though."
Leo shrugged, "So? Doesn't matter how long it takes."
Elijah bit his lip. "I don't wamt to get used to it. I want to go back home." He whispered
"I know… and if I could send you back I could…" Leo replied quietly.
Elijah kissed him softly. "I know. It's okay. None of this is your fault."
"It technically is, though…" Leo sighed quietly.
Elijah gripped the back of head. "It's not your fault. You didn't turn me into a statue. That was someone else. You did nothing but save me."
Leo nodded a little, not bothering to argue back, "O-Okay…" He whispered.
"Tale a nap with me?" Elijah pleaded
"Of course." Leo replied, kissing him gently for a moment.
Elijah stood, leaving the bags where they were. He took Leo's hand and walked with him to the bedroom.
Leo gave Elijah's hand a small squeeze, letting go to close the blinds and the door.
Elijah stripped down to his underwear then crawled into bed
