Myrah stood up and grinned, “Yeah. Stop staring at him let’s go.”
Myrah stood up and grinned, “Yeah. Stop staring at him let’s go.”
She stood and nodded, watching as the kid tugged on his parent's shirt and pointing towards Ferris and Myrah
"Yeah, let's get going…"
Myrah began moving out of the area with her ice cream in hand and Ferris in the other, "They're probably curious because we're two girls eating ice cream together."
"THat what I'm leading myself to believe right now," she muttered, still suspicious of the glances they were getting. "What's wrong with the two of us eating ice cream together?" She asked, needing to distract herself
"They might think we're dating and you know that's kind of taboo still," Myrah sighed as she continued walking moving a bit faster, "Let's just get out of here though yeah?"
She nodded "yeah, let's. She squeezed Myrahs hand and led her away from the crowds "it's still taboo? That's disappointing."
"To some people yeah," Myrah sighed biting into the cone, "I wish some people would accept the differences in the world."
Ferris nodded in agreement "same here. I wonder why it's so hard for them to accept what things are." She sighed and munched on the waffle cone
"Probably because they are different and therefore bad," Murah shook her head, "Where or why people come up with that I have no idea."
"it's what they've grown up with, they no other way of living or adapting to this new need of young people. You can't blame them for that." She reasoned
"I know," Myrah sighed squeezing Ferris's hand, "But I still wish they wouldn't."
He smiled softly, trying calm her racing heart. People hold hands normally right? She shook herself from the thought "yeah, give it a couple years, you'll see." She promised
"I've given it most of my life," Myrah groaned, "I don't want to wait any more."
"I know, neither do I." her thumb rubbed against her knuckles absent mindedly "But we, especially us, have to be careful."
"Yeah," Myrah felt her insides go warm again, "Is this- Is this a date?"
HS eglanced at her and grinned "is it? you tell me."
"I wouldn't mind if it is," Myrah shrugged with a shy smile on, "What about you?"
Ferris bobbed her head back and forth "I think this counts." She finally said. She brought their intertwined hand close to her lips and kissed the back of Myrah's hand. "It most definatly counts."
Myrah’s heart went wild at that. She had felt just how soft her lips were and now more than ever wanted to kiss her, “I’m glad. Where to next? A date can’t just end after getting ice cream.”
"Movie? I don't know if there's anything interesting on but it can't hurt to look." She suggested, drawing her hair back over her shoulder with her free hand
"No it can't," Myrah smiled over at Ferris before heading down the street, "There's a theater nearby here com'on!"
She jogged to catch up with her "I'm coming. I'm coming, slow your roll." she laughed and followed Myrah to the theater
Myrah laughed with her as they reached the theater. All of the showing times were outside on posters of each movie, "Wow. They're showing quite a few movies right now."
She nodded "you choose, I took you to ice cream, you get to choose the movie. please just no horror, I don't do well in a stressful situation."
"How about this one?" Myrah pointed to one of the posters, "I've been wanting to see it and it's not horror. Horror is awful."
She looked at the description below "hm, seems interesting. Let do it." She pulled her inside the theater
Myrah laughed and let herself be pulled in, "Do we want popcorn and soda?"
Ferris nodded an headed in line to purchase the tickets "I got tickets, you got snacks."
Myrah nodded and headed over before pausing and looking at Ferris, "Which soda do you want?"
"Sprite please,"she called from her spot in line
