"Yeah." Zach leaned back in his seat, glancing between Felix and the outdoors, both of which were very compelling, he thought.
"Yeah." Zach leaned back in his seat, glancing between Felix and the outdoors, both of which were very compelling, he thought.
Felix started to sing along. He blasted the music from the stereo. It was See You Again by Charlie Puth ft. Wiz Califfa, a personal favorite of his. Felix actually sang pretty well. He slayed the rap part and took the high notes with perfection.
Zach grinned, looking over at Felix. "You're pretty good," He noted.
”Thanks!” He laughed. ”Oh, I know what we can do! Let’s be famous singers and get a lot of money and tour the world!” He joked.
Zach laughed along with him. "I mean, I can't sing. But I could be the producer!"
It felt good, just driving along an empty road with cold morning air flowing through the slats in the windows, and the junky car stereo on and Felix singing along and both of them laughing.
”Yeah! And you can write the songs! Do you play any instrument?” Felix liked this idea. It felt good just imagening a future where things didn’t suck. Even though it would never be real.
"Um…" Zach thought for a moment. "Oh! I know how to play the drums, if that counts." He brightened, turning to Felix.
Felix laughed. ”You know, you are really cute when you are excited.” He leaned over and kissed Zach’s cheek. He tried not to care about the voices. If the voices were all negative and caused him to have panic attacks, then he would rather be with Zach with his sunny smile and bright view on everything.
Zach giggled again. "You know what? You too."
”Than-” Felix started, but then the refrain came on on full volume and of course he could not finish his sentence, he just had to sing along.
Zach giggled, leaning back and watching him. God, was he beautiful. The entire scene was - Felix, and the empty road, and the music.
Felix didn’t even see the deer as it ran over the road. ”Fuck!” He hit the brakes. The deer made it safely to the other side and ran into the woods, but Felix could feel how the tires lost grip of the road as he gripped the steering wheel tightly and tried to retain the controll of the car.
(Like I said; mess it up lol)
Zach’s eyes widened as they took in the situation. “Shoot, shoot shoot shoot,” He mumbled in a panic, reaching over to grab the wheel and turn it straight left to the open side of the road.
(Can I crash their car a bit?)
(Yeah, what Zach just did would probably just turn them around and not get them out unless Felix was stepping on the gas.)
The car was spinning. Felix didn’t even know a car could spin this much. His heart was pounding and his knuckles turned white as he tried to straighten the car up. It was useless. At least two of the tires were off the ground. Felix closed his eyes and prayed, gripping Zach’s arm as they spun completely of the road.
The car skidded to a stop, the last two wheels hanging off of the highway and into a ditch below. Zach breathed heavily a little bit, and…
He turned.
Of course. Of freaking course. Can’t keep it in anything, can you? Zach thought to himself before turning his wolfy head to Felix.
Shoot. Shoot, skfkekdkwj what is he okay friggin ekfkwkdj Zach made his way over to the driver’s seat and whined worriedly.
It took Felix a second to actually realise that the car had stopped. He leaned back to the seat. In the middle of everything Zach had aparently turned. Felix closed his eyes and raised a hand to touch his own forehead. It had banged into the steering wheel as they spun. As he touched it, he felt a pulsing in his head. It hurt, and Felix fingers had turned red from the contact. Oh, fuck. He looked over at Zach. Other than turning he seemed pretty much fine.
Felix touched his head again. He saw the worries in Zach’s eyes. ”I’m okay,” he assured him. Not entirely true, but it didn’t seem like a big wound. And Zach had to be calm to turn back. He didn’t want to worry him.
Zach whined and pressed his nose to the cut on Felix’s forehead, pulling back to tilt his head at him. Not completely rldkdkkdkwk
”Ow.” Felix made a grimace. ”Damn it.”
Zach paused, whining again and resting the top of his head in the crook of Zach’s shoulder, ears pointed. dkdkwkcjwk he needs heelllllp
Felix heard his thoughts. ”It’s okay,” he said. ”Don’t worry. Try to turn back instead. You can help me more if you’re human.” Truth being told it hurt more than he wanted to admit.
Zach sat back down in the passenger seat, trying to calm himself. Knowing that he could help Zach better if he was human, he was in human form a couple of seconds later with a slight ruffle, staring wide-eyed at Felix.
Felix had found some old napkins that he was now pressing against the wound, keeping his head high just as he had learned when it came to first aid. He closed his eyes tightly. ”Fuck this,” he wispered under his breath. He slowly turned to Zach, careful not to turn the head to quickly. ”Do we have any water or anything? I need to wash the blood away.”
"Yeah. Um…I think there's some in the backseat." Zach reached behind him and pulled out a water bottle, getting some other napkins from the glove department and putting some on the napkins, handing them over to Felix while resting a hand on his shoulder. "You're fine, okay? It's not that bad, it'll heal quickly."
”Yeah. It’s fine. Thanks.” Felix wiped away some blood and looked at himself in the rearview mirror. As the blood got away it wasn’t that bad. Zach was right, it wouldn’t take long for it to heal. He remembered a lesson from school in eight grade, when the teacher told them that it always bleed more than usual when it came from the head. The actual wound was not big, it would probably heal in a couple of days.
He kicked the door open and got out of the car. Felix poured some water on the injury and made a face as the water turned bright pink before it hit the ground. He got up again, pressing another napkin at the wound. ”How about you? Are you alright?” He called back at Zach.
"Me? Oh, I'm fine. Just a little worried…about you…you sure you're feeling okay?" Zach clarified, peering over the driver's seat to watch Felix.
”Yeah. It looks much worse than it really is.” Felix smiled a little to emphasize his words. ”You know, you are really cute when you’re worried. You get this little wrinkle between your eyebrows.” He smiled brighter, and even though it still hurt, it wasn’t a faked smile.
"Aw, come on. Look who already knows me better than I know myself." Zach giggled, shaking his head. "Honestly, though, do you expect me to not worry about you now?"
