Hinata gasped quietly, putting her hand to her mouth. She took a step forward, but she stopped herself from going any further. She had no idea where she was, and she didn't think it would be wise to meddle with fate.
Hinata gasped quietly, putting her hand to her mouth. She took a step forward, but she stopped herself from going any further. She had no idea where she was, and she didn't think it would be wise to meddle with fate.
(This one would make almost no sense right now but it’d be important later)
Blinking again, Hinata would be sent somewhere. It was unclear where this place was until someone turned on the lights. It was a studio of some sorts. The person who came in placed their backpack on the sofa and sat at their organized working desk.
Their phone rang.
They answered, putting on the speaker.
“Hello…?”
“You’re back at the studio aren’t you?”
“Yes… why?” The man didn’t seemed so pleased with the question.
“I left something for ya. The chest you wanted for so damn long”
“Oh? So you got it?” The man seemed surprised.
“Yep. It’s on the table under the window”
“Right, thanks”
“Anytime, bye”
“Bye” the man then hung up the call.
He went over to where the other man had said he left the chest. It was an antique chest, one which was decorated with several jewels and designed to perfection. The man then opened the small chest only to find… a bright flash of light which would soon be classified as an air reactive explosive. Nothing was left. The studio was turned to a crisp and the house the man was in was no more. The snow outside gave the contrast of black and white perfectly.
Hinata was very confused what was happening by now, but watching someone get blow up was something even she hadn't expected.
"What the hell is going on?!"
(Guess who broke their eyeglasses earlier in the day ;~;)
As the explosion sounded, another just can be heard behind Hinata.
Tick… Tick…
Turning around her, she would see a roman numeral clock with the design that represent that of an artifact.
The hour hand now touched the number three and if Hinata was to blink again, her surroundings changed once again. This time, she was in a room with a piano and a cello, though the room seemed to be extremely dark.
“WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THIS?! ARE YOU STUPID?!!” the sound of a grown man shouted from the shadows of another room than the one Hinata was in.
“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? WHY CAN’T I STUDY WHAT I WANT TO?! YOU MAY SOMEWHAT INFLUENCE ME, BUT YOU CAN’T CHANGE MY MIND OR MY DESTINY!!” The sound of a younger man sounded after and soon after… a gunshot came from the room.
What shined through the shadows were the younger man’s body, their network of veins and a sheet of music they held tightly in there hand. Following the sight, came the sound of someone running away and quickly closing a door.
(OH NU)
(I feel for you dude)
Hinata watched and listened, taking note of everything she was witnessing. This was all confusing, but she just roled with it.
The hour hand now reached four…
The new room was silent… but it was an office of some sort. There was one table with the lights on and also a person sitting there. The person seemed to be typing away on their computer. The aisle was board enough for Hinata to walk to the man without touching anything.
There was one table Hinata would pass by before reaching the man’s; a table layered with flowers either in bouquets or individually and postcards which said Congratulations.
The man glanced at that table once and sighed. He leaned on his chair and looked out the window. It would seem as if it was raining outside… though his eyes were raining as well.
Hinata glanced at the clock. Did the hour hand count how many were dead? She turned to the man. Was this dude gonna die to?
What Hinata was thinking was definitely true when smoke came flooding inside the dark room. The man turned to the door and ran to it, attempting to open it. He succeeded… but the exit was blocked by a wall of fire set by an arsonist. The man stepped back, cursing to himself. Finally, the fire covered the man’s body, leaving only the crisps of the office behind.
The hour hand reached five…
(I think you mistyped your name…)
(Aaaaaaaaaaa crap XD)
(This is why I don't change it on phones)
Hinata nearly gagged. Why was she being forced to see all of these people die?
“Quiet…”
One of the people in the new room stated softly. They were in surgeon’s clothing, were surrounded by several other people in the same kind of clothing and were all working on a patient’s surgery. They were holding the surgery knife in their hand with care and were extremely patient with it.
Blinking once, Hinata would appear again somewhere else in the same hospital.
“Thank you so much doctor” one man said with a smile and tears in his eyes.
“She’s safe” the man said faintly to another woman standing beside him.
Blinking again, Hinata would appear in what looked like a doctor’s office and she would spot the man in the white coat looking through some x-ray photos and thoroughly examining them alongside a symptoms sheet. The doctor would look very familiar to Hinata.
(I just realized something… I’m so sorry I forgot to mention this XD It might be best if you take note of details related to the deaths; both who they were and how they died)
(Got it. Also, I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply. I'd had to deal with some things irl, but I should be good until school starts)
Hinata was slightly nauseous from the scene change nearly everytime she blinked. Shaking her head, she turned her attention to the doctor infront of her.
She thought she knew who it was, but she want going to jump to conclusions yet.
(That’s completely fine. I wouldn’t mind if you had to take a day, a week or even a month off)
A male nurse came into the room soon after, quietly that is.
“Dr. Cassius, the appointment for Mr. Gardner will be postponed to tomorrow at 11” the nurse stated, looking at the document in his hand.
“That would be fine. Did he tell you anything about how he’s doing?” The doctor asked.
“He said that the surgery you preformed was improving his life. He hadn’t been expecting to walk normally again” the nurse replied.
The doctor smiled.
“Alright then—“ he glanced at the clock, 10 in the evening, “—I’ll be going now, tell Luna to take care of herself when I’m gone” he finished, packing his belongings and headed for the door.
“Will do doc” the nurse said, following the doctor out whilst turning off the lights on the way out.
(Thanks dude.)
Hinata nodded to herself as her suspicions were confirmed. Of course, with the pattern with these visions, as she's started to call them, she was dreading what was to come.
(You know, me saying this will just tempt you up but… don’t look into my Pinterest account. I’ve got diabetes worth of sweetness hidden in there…)
This time, luckily for Hinata, the scene didn’t change when she blinked. Rather, she was pushed to follow the doctor at all times after he moved.
Eventually, the doctor and Hinata would be outside. The doctor looked around and stretched a bit before heading down the street. Along the way though, he would spot a thief attempting to steal a young woman’s purse. Instinctively, he rushed towards the woman to help her out. He knocked the thief to the ground with one blow and handed the purse back to the woman. The woman thanked him genuinely before looking up to see the doctor stabbed through his chest. The thief then ran away as the woman knelt down, quickly calling the police and ambulances.
Hinata crossed her arms, forcing herself to not look away. There was a reason she was seeing this.
“Enjoying the show?” a faint female voice originated somewhere behind Hinata. Her voice seemed almost echoey.
Following the question was a laugh and soon enough, Hinata would find herself inside a news studio where two men were sat down at a clean and organized table. They looked at each and nodded as the direction started counting down. The men almost looked identical.
Shivers ran up and down Hinata's spine when the voice spoke. Before she turned to see who had spoken, however, she was taken to the next place.
In this new room, Hinata watched from her spot. She took note of who she thought they were, then waited to see who would die and how.
Before the men even started their first words, a bomb went off inside the building they were in. The directors and staffs were all being evacuated one by one.
The two news reporters though, weren’t so lucky. Both were squished by the spotlight above them when the explosion happened, leaving the remains of their bodies on the chairs they were seated on.
Hinata shuddered. The scene was not something she really enjoyed seeing. She made note that this was the second time bombs were used.
The same female voice originated behind Hinata once again. Following the small echoey laughter the woman gave though, was a deafening chime of a grandfather clock. The chime was loud to a point where it could easily rip your eardrums apart.
After the chime, Hinata would fine herself back in the Labyrinth though not where she was before the whole experience started. She was back inside Marquess Landes’ church-like room. For being mostly empty, she could see two figures talking to each other at the other end of the hall from where she was; one was Karat, the owner of the room and the other was in a hoodie colored cherry blossom pink, layered with vanilla white.
(When you know exactly what your character would do, but if you let them you would die of second hand embarrassment)
Hinata covered her ears when the chime sounded, squeezing her eyes shut. When it ended, she opened her eyes, blinking several times. She slowly took her hands away from her ears, straightening up when she realized she had hunched over. That was when she spotted Karat and the figure in the hoodie. After a moment of debate, she started to make her way towards them.
Karat turned to Hinata.
“That was quite an experience wasn’t it?” He asked confidently as if he knew what had happened.
The hooded figure turned to Hinata as well, now revealing that they were a girl. They had a black and pink cat sick mask on their face. They then opened their hood and waved at Hinata. This was when it was clear, she was stunningly small and adorable. She had chest length, chocolate brown and silky ponytail, accompanied with blue sapphire eyes like Karat.
“Oh right, I forgot to mention—“ Karat gestured his hand towards the small female “—this is my sister, Cindy Landes” he introduced.
"Nice to meet you," Hinata greeted, nodding to Cindy.
"And yeah. What was that about?"
“An experience” Cindy answered plainly.
Karat slowly raised his hand to present Hinata with an aura created clock.
“Cindy took you through one of her abilities” the hour hand on the clock stopped at six, exactly where Hinata left off.
As they were ‘talking’, a portal opened up and a well-dressed man walked out of it. He was holding a paper bag which was filled with bread in one hand and a plastic bag full of fresh ingredients like meat and fruits in the other.
“Missing home andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)?” Karat turned to the man to which the man’s reply was a nod and a smile.
“I’ll be making dinner today. So as always, I do invite you both to dine with me—“ he then turned to Hinata “—you are invited as well Hinata” the secretary said in a friendly tone before walking out of the church-like room.
Cindy flushed from just the appearance of the male.
“He’s such boyfriend material” she said out loud to which her brother’s response was…
“In your dreams”
Hinata nodded in response to andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s invitation to dinner, and chuckled at the exchange the two siblings had. On a more serious note, she turned to them.
"Can I ask why you took me through one of your abilities?"
