"To make adjustments where they're needed." Peggy explained, moving on to his arms. She didn't write down any of the measurements, because she knew she didn't need to. "And when I make the actual suit, it'll be good to already have them."
"Alright," he said, shrugging as she stretched to measure his arms. "Do you need me to crouch, or what?"
"You calling me short?" She raised an eyebrow at him, looking more amused than offended.
"Yes," he said, smiling slightly. When she reached up once again, he chose to wrap her up in a hug, impeding her measurements.
"Klaus!" She exclaimed, holding the measuring tape out of the way. "I was doing something!" She returned the hug anyway, resting her good arm over his good shoulder.
"So you want me to stop hugging you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow down at her.
"I never said that…" She huffed, wrinkling her nose at him.
He couldn't help but smile as he leaned down and planted a kiss on the top of her head. Physical affection was something new to him, but he felt like he was learning pretty fast.
Her cheeks reddened at the affection, and she pulled her bottom lip in between her teeth, the corners of her mouth turning up.
"I don't think we're gonna get much work done today," he admitted, smiling at her unabashly.
"Probably not." She agreed, shaking her head. "You just wanna hang out?"
"To be honest," he said, rocking her back and forth, "A little R and R doesn't sound to bad."
"Then that's what we'll do. We've got cold pizza and a couch, it's perfect." She said, smiling as she moved back and forth.
"Can't imagine anything better he said as they shuffled awkwardly back to the couch. "Ya know, for someone so flirtatious, you blush a lot."
"Just around you." She said, laughing at the odd shuffle. Once they had sat down, she tucked herself into his side, still holding onto him.
"Today has been….weird, to say the least," he said, using his bad arm to rub his face.
She sighed, nodding. "A mess, and then some. And….shitty, mostly."
"I gotta agree," he said, pulling her the slightest bit closer. "The kiss was great, though."
"The highlight to a shit day?" She looked up at him, raising an eyebrow.
"The highlight to any day," he corrected, matching her raised eyebrow.
She huffed a laugh, nodding. "Gotta say, it probably was my best first kiss with anyone."
"I doubt that," he said, shaking his head. "I'ma bit rusty."
"And yet, still the best." She wrinkled her nose, lips pulled up in a small half smile. "Testament to my precious taste, huh?"
"Precious is probably the nicest way to describe it," he said, rolling his eyes.
((Sksksk I MEANT TO TYPE PREVIOUS OH MY GOD))
(Keep it, that banter is wonderful)
"Rude!" She huffed dramatically, poking his side. "Y'know, you kinda just insulted yourself."
"I am aware of how self deprecating that statement was, Ms. Stark," he said, twisting away from her hand the best he could.
"Just making sure." She retracted her hand, shaking her head with a small smile.
