Leo smiled up at him and gave his hand a squeeze before he opened the door, a small bell tinkling to indicate their arrival.
Leo smiled up at him and gave his hand a squeeze before he opened the door, a small bell tinkling to indicate their arrival.
Elijah geld open the door so they could walk in. He stepped closer to Leo as eye shifted towards them.
There wasn’t many people in the cafe and soon enough, people went back to minding their own business. A man about a year old then Elijah waked our and grinned at Leo, barely noticing Elijah as he pulled the smaller male into a tight hug.
Elijah released his hand as a man greeted Leo. He wrapped his arms around hos body, hugging himself. He looked around uncertainly.
The man pulled back a second later and Leo was then immediately at Elijah’s side again, taking his hand and leaning into his side. The man smiled, “Nice to see you again Leo, and who might you be?” He asked, turning to Elijah.
Elijah turned his body slightly into Leo. He didn't want to be there anymore but he didn't want Leo to be disappointed in him. He kept his mouth closed when the man spoke to him.
The man tilted his head slightly, “Well, I’m Mitch,” He smiled and Leo smiled back.
“Mitch this is Elijah. Elijah, Mitch,” He introduced, “Hey man could you give us a sec?” Mitch nodded and walked away before Leo turned his attention to Elijah with a small frown, “What’s wrong?”
Elijah shook his head and looked at the floor. "Nothing, I'm fine." He murmured. His eyes flickered up to his face before backndown at his shoes
“No you’re not,” Leo moved so one arm was wrapped around Elijah’s neck, his forehead resting against his, “I can’t help if you don’t tell me what’s wrong.”
Showing so much affection in public made Elijah nervous. The hand halding was fine. But this…this was frightening. He gently grabbed Leo's arm and took it off his neck. He took a step back, clutching his hand. "Its fine. I'm fine. Let's eat."
Leo tilted his head to the side, unconvinced and more worried now, “Okay… if you’re sure…” He mumbled, leading them to a seat.
Elijah nodded. He followed him over to their seat and sat down, furthest away from the rest of the people.
Leo sat opposite him, biting his lip, “Are you sure you’re okay? If you want to leave we can, I don’t care as long as you’re comfortable.”
Elijah nodded his head again. "I'm fine." He reached across the table to hold his hand.
Leo slowly held his hand back, still hesitant, “Elijah… you being comfortable is better then trying to make me happy or whatever, you know that right?”
Elijah squeezed his hand. "I know." His eyes flickered around the room before settling back on Leo.
"So I'm saying it again, if you want to leave, we can." Leo spoke softly yet also seriously.
"I'm fine Leo, you can stop worrying." Elijah gave him a smile of reassurance.
Leo pouted, "I'm not going to stop worrying though…" He sighed, rubbing at his face with one hand, "But okay… let's just order."
"I don't know what most of these things are. You can order for me." Elijah said.
“Hm… do you like eggs and bacon?” Leo asked, head tilting to the side.
Elijah nodded. Who didn't like bacon? "Yeah, sounds good." He gave a small smile.
“Cool. What drink do you want?” Leo asked, standing and pulling out his wallet.
"Water I guess. I dont know what these other things are." Elijah said to him, holding up the menu.
"There's juice if you want that instead," Leo shrugged a shoulder, "But if not then I can do water."
"Water is fine for me." Elijah said. He gave his hand a small squeeze.
Leo nodded a little, “All right.” He offered a small smile before he walked away, heading to the desk to order.
Elijah looked around uncomfortablely. He folded his legs on the chair and hugged himself.
Leo ordered quickly, paying and then heading back over to Leo wither their drinks.
Elijah smiled at Leo thankfully and started sipping his water. He gripped his glass in his trembling hands, hoping that Leo wouldnt notice
