"Thank you," she nodded with an appreciative smile. "Is there anything more you would need me to do?" He was rifling through, barely reading what she'd done; she bit back her frustration.
(R E M U S– nice.)
Ajax playful smile slipped watching Jay take Lilly away. There was force to his movements– it didn't look good. "See you later, my lady!" he called to Lilly.
(You're welcome)
"No no no, it's perfect," Remus quickly replied, glancing at Helen and smiling at her. He went back to the beginning and started reading it, occasionally adjusting his glasses if they started to slide off his nose.
Lilly glanced at Ajax and mustered a small smile, quickly looking at the ground as Jay led her into an empty hallway with no teachers or students or janitors. "Why did you bring me here?"
He started reading the document. Relieved, Helen sat back in her chair. Pulling out her phone, she sent Lilly a quick text. How's the morning going?
(You're Jay right?)
(Yea, unless you want to be him)
Lilly felt her heart drop when her phone buzzed, signaling someone had messaged her. Jay was quick to snatch her phone, opening it to read the message, (He had added in his fingerprint and wouldn't let her remove it). "I thought you hated your mother? Yet you've suddenly become so close that she texts you?"
"I–Just give me my phone back," Lilly said, trying to grab her phone. But considering Jay was taller than her, he pushed Lilly away as he started typing something. Don't talk to me, you're like the most annoying person ever.
(No all good, I was just double checking)
It took a minute for Lilly to respond, and as soon as she did Helen was on her phone with an eager smile.
Then she got the message. Her heart sank to the pits of her stomach. A blow to the heart, it was; throat constricting, she shut the app down and shoved her phone away, fiddling with he strap of her bag.
(Okay then)
Lilly snatched her phone back and instantly opened the messaging app, checking to see what Jay had responded with. "Why did you send her that?" She asked, glaring heavily at Jay, making him glare back at her as he pushed her to the wall.
"What's rule #3?" He asked, snatching the phone away from her again.
"'Don't talk back or glare at you.'"
(Jesus christ)
"Is it alright, then, sir?" Helen asked breathily. Collect yourself, seriously. "Is it?" she repeated, more steadily.
Remus looked up from reading the file and smiled while nodding, his face flushing a bit in embarrassment. "Yep, it's amazing. Sorry I didn't hear you the first time."
(He progressively gets worse)
"And what are the consequences?" He asked, leaning over her.
"I let you do whatever you want to me, for the whole day…" Lilly mumbled, not looking at Jay.
Jay couldn't help but smirk, putting a finger under Lilly's chin and lifting her chin up so she was forced to look at him while inspecting her features. "We wouldn't want to ruin that pretty little face you have now, do we?"
(JESUS CHRIST)
Helen shook her head, forcing a bashful smile. "It was my bad, sir. I'll leave you to the reading then, if that's alright, and get started on that biography."
(Lol)
"Yes, please, that'd be amazing," Remus replied, smiling softly at her. He really needed to get more sleep, or else he was going to end up insane.
"Just do whatever you want to." Lilly mumbled, wanting to get this over with.
"No, I'm going to take my sweet time to mess with you."
((oh my god I'm so sorry, my exams are doing me in))
With a small nod Helen stood and backed out of the office, mumbling a soft goodbye on her way out. She passed by her deserted desk to pick up some files and was quickly on her way out and towards a small cafe nearby to get to work.
(It's fine, I understand)
Remus also mumbled back a small 'goodbye' when Helen left. He was glad someone like Helen was working for her, considering how everyone only worked for him because they thought he looked cute or they like this job but they're horrible at it.
Lilly stayed quiet, letting Jay kiss her and be handsy with her. She couldn't do anything about it anyway, no one would come here to check on them anyway. Jay had money to make sure no one did.
(Should remus and Helen be… Something?)
(I mean… It could be interesting)
(Lol okay then, we can do that)
(We shall do it in the morning if that's alright, it's getting a lil late here)
(Okay then, that's perfectly fine! You should go get sleep)
(ahha that's true, thank you. See you tomorrow <3)
(See you tomorrow, good night! <3)
(Alrighty I'm back! So, Remus and Helen then? =
(Uhhhh,what am I supposed to do/say? Relen? I don't know)
(Oh sorry, I was just checking it was alright!)
Settling into a table, Helen pulled out her work.
The sweet smell of fresh pastries wafted into sitting area, and she inhaled deeply.
With a smile she stood up and walked over to the counter. "Could I have one insert pastry?"
(what's your or Lily's favourite pastry?)
(It's fine, sorry I didn't understand!)
The cashier glanced at the brunette that had walked up to the counter and smiled at her. "Sure! That'll be $3.50, were you planning on using cash or card?"
(Lilly's favorite pastry is a cinnamon roll)
"Cash, thank you," Helen assured, pulling out her wallet. She slid the money over the counter and smiled over at the cahier.
She was pleased with this thought of hers– it could top off a nice way for her and her daughter.
(Sorryyyyy)
"You're welcome!" The cashier replied, swiftly putting the cash in the cash register before turning around and getting a cinnamon roll, handing it to her with the smile still on their face.
(Ehhhh)
(Lol still on their face after a couple months)
Helen walked out of the shop, slowly walking home to start on her work.
(Lmao yes)
Lilly let the tears fall down her face, her body shaking ever so slightly as she hid herself. Jay had left to go to lunch, not even looking back to see if Lilly was okay or not.
Lilly didn't even know what to do, she couldn't go to the cafeteria since she didn't being her makeup to cover up the bruises, but, Ajax would be concerned if she didn't come. Well, she wasn't that sure about the last statement, she wasn't even sure if Ajax really cared about her.
A soft knock on the wall interrupted her thoughts, making her look at the source of noise through watery eyes. It was Ajax, looking rather worried and concerned as he looked at Lilly. "You okay, Lilly?"
"I'm fine." Was all Lilly could say, her throat being constricted with all the horrors she had to go through. She was fine, she had said those two words so many times, she didn't even know if she actually was fine at this point.
(I just realized how long the post is and I'm sorry)
(It’s ok! I like long)
Ajax studied Lilly for moment. “You can talk to me, okay?” He hovered, hands clasped together in front of him. He had an idea about the problem… but didn’t start on it. With a nod and a half-smile, he backed and walked away.
Helen trudged home, plugged into her music. Her thoughts were going a mile an hour, partially about her work but also for Lilly. Why had she sent that message?
