@PuffPoff

Ryan rolled his eyes at Joanna. "Fine. You need to show me where the infirmary is though. I think I went there once, but I have no clue where it is."

@PuffPoff

He some-what reluctantly followed her, holding his hands stiffly by his sides.

@blue_topaz

(Sorry I left so abruptly!)

Dark, black. All Morrigan could see was black, filling her lungs, infiltrating her mind, beckoning to her to succumb, to give in to it. And she wanted to. She wanted to so bad. The black was where her brother was, where her mother was. Little by little, Morrigan began to give in.

(Almost dead but not quite)

@PuffPoff

"I'm fine…." He mumbled, feeling a little guilty for taking up Lucian's time.

@blue_topaz

Morrigan was an inch away from death, but one thing kept her fighting. The crew, the ship. Leah, Daso, Alice, Cicada, Ryan. Lucian.

@ShadeStar

Lucian nodded, his eyes flicking to Daso’s throat. “I’m looking at you next, so don’t tun off,” He said. He checked over Cicada, brows furrowed. There seemed to be a claw mark on her ankle area from when she had been dragged. He dabbed at it with a bit of gauze, cleaning the blood away before wrapping it tightly.

"Thanks Lucian," Cicada looked down at her ankle, "Also I was not lured over. One just caught me off guard, while I was stuck in the water after trying to help Morrigan."

Lucian nodded slowly, stepping away once he was done. He leaned back against the table that Morrgain was layed out on. He knew the water had to be out of her lungs, but he was still worried. He rubbed gently at Morrigan’s wrist and gave Cicada an appreciative smile. “Thank you for that.”

"On second thought, I could probably find an herb paste to slap on that." Joanna said when she spotted Morrigan on the table. She turned to Lucian. "Is she…?"

@Desvelarse pets

Lucian looked up at Joanna and shook his head slowly. “Barely, it seems. She should pull through, she’s strong,” he responded, struggling to keep his voice from shaking.

"No problem," Cicada, "It was really Daso that helped her. I just held back the sirens."

@PuffPoff

Should I be sad about this? I barely know these people…I'm not supposed to feel too sad about that one guy, Ace, right? I know Morrigan a little…but not enough to be too sad about it…. Ryan shook his head, following Joanna.

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

Joanna unlocked the kitchen and rummaged through the herbs she had. "Let's see, I think this will do." She set to grinding the leaves to a pulp. She looked up as she did so. "Say, you alright? You look a little down."

@PuffPoff

"Yeah, I'm fine." He reassured her as he sat down on a nearby stool. "Just new-kid-nervousness."

@blue_topaz

Morrigan’s eyes fluttered weakly open and she rolled over into her side and heaved all the saltwater out of her lungs. Her hands shook trying to support her and she collapsed back down onto her back, each breath sending a fresh spurt of pain through her body.

@Desvelarse pets

“Morrigan!” Lucian shifted so he was now sitting by her head. “Hey, you need to sit up, okay? Just a little bit,” he said quickly, shifting her gently so she was laying with her head on his thigh.

@blue_topaz

All she could feel was burning pain ravaging both her body and mind, but she managed to croak out in the affirmative. At least twenty of her older cuts stung from the saltwater, and she had a new set of claw marks down her chest and stomach.

@Desvelarse pets

Lucian knew she wouldn’t be able to answer him well, so he slipped her shirt up, just enough to see the claw marks. “Not deep, most likely won’t need stitches,” he murmured, more to himself. He reached over, grabbing for the disinfectant, gauze, and a wad of bandages. “This will sting, but just for a moment,” he said softly, tipping the bottle of disinfectant over the claw marks.

@blue_topaz

Morrigan choked on a scream as pain shot through her stomach and her eyes were squeezed shut. A few tears escaped from the corners of her eye lids and she let out the tiniest of whimpers.

@Desvelarse pets

After letting it sit for a moment, Lucian dabbed the disinfectant away gently with a strip of gauze. He cleaned away blood that had seeped out onto her stomach as carefully as he could with gauze. He lightly pressed more gauze to her wound, then kept them in place with surgical tape.

@blue_topaz

Through her murky delirium, Morrigan’s mind had pulled apart the image of Lucian and replaced it with that of her father, standing over her and rolling up her shirt. Her eyes widened in fear.

@Desvelarse pets

Lucian was too concentrated on Morrigan’s injuries to notice her fearful expression. He took up the roll of bandages, covering the gauze with a few layers.

@PuffPoff

Ryan took the pieces of the windup mouse from his pocket and began putting them back together, leaning against the counter. It reminded him of his home back in Anjou, where he would help make shotguns and muskets for his father's business. He smiled to himself as he popped a small gear into place.

@blue_topaz

The blood rushes to Morrigan’s ears as she lay there, frozen with sheer terror. Her breathing became strained, and her wounds seemed to hurt ten times more. She let out a tiny whimper.
