Oh COME ON! Hinata moaned to herself.
Hinata set the cat down slowly.
"Well, screw my sanity."
Oh COME ON! Hinata moaned to herself.
Hinata set the cat down slowly.
"Well, screw my sanity."
The amber Maine coon and the two wolves slowly disappeared and the person who was persumably Matthew started to change form back to his original form.
“Good boy Cassius…” the gunman said with a slight laugh before turning his aim towards Hinata.
“I know you can’t die… so…” he fired three continuous shots, two shots through Hinata’s shoulders and one through her torso… though none really hurt her physically. The bullets were instead aimed at her three soul companions. All of them had a bullet hole through both of their shoulders and their torsos.
Hinata fell on one knee, clutching her stomach and shoulders. If she herself had been shot, that would have been no sweat, and the pain would be minimal. However, her Companion Souls were like normal people, and Hinata felt all of their pain.
(This will be kinda cruel towards Hinata)
Cassius was shook, he had not been expecting Hinata to react like that.
“Oh so you can die! Wonderful!!” The gunman, Caleb, practically jumped for joy but still keeping his aim on Hinata.
“Isn’t this just delightful, Cassius?” He said in a mocking manner before he walked closer to Hinata. He kicked Hinata’s face with quite a strong swing and force.
“Call yourself one of the strongest in the multiverse yet you can’t survive Soul Piercer bullets… pathetic… absolutely pathetic…” he aimed his gun right at Hinata’s head.
“Tell me… what would happen to me if I killed one of the ones inside your head right here and now…?”
Hinata glared up at him.
"After a minute of me wanting to die, shit will hit the fan." She spat the words at him, venom dripping from each syllable.
(Good thing I'm in sadistic b i a t c h mode rn XD)
(Possible tear up moment warning)
Caleb, the gunman hunter, laughed.
“All righty then… it is settled…” he took his aim inside what would be Hinata’s mind. He fired one shot through Hinata’s head… yet none of her companion souls were harmed.
A loud thud came from outside of Hinata’s mind. Cassius has fallen to the ground with blood flooding out of his head. The Pisces armor started to break and reformed back into an inscription. His cloaked physically body was all that was left beside the inscription.
(Oh great then XD)
(……………………………..)
(distant screaming)
(THIS IS THE SECOND TIME DAMNIT)
"Cassius!" Hinata shrieked.
(Probably the last for Cassius as well…)
The gunman stood up and laughed as he walked to Cassius. Cassius slowly raised his hand, pointing at the gunman.
“You should thank me Cassi-boy… I’ve given you a literal second chance…” he shot Cassius through his heart.
Cassius’ arm fell and he was then motionless.
(I'm high key crying rn and people are staring but I don't care)
"No!" Hinata dragged herself up, clutching one shoulder.
(Become one with the storyline XD)
The gunman turned to Hinata.
“What? He’s only a fragment of your life isn’t he? You’ve been in so many universes, he shouldn’t mean a single thing to you should he?!” Caleb laughed a little bit more as he fired more shots at Cassius, making sure he was dead. One went through Cassius’ neck, one through his chest, one through where his lungs would be and one through his abdomen.
Hinata lunged, grabbing the front of Caleb's outfit. She held him inches from her, staying into his eyes. Her own were blazing with fury, and starting to tear up.
"Everyone means something," she hissed, voice cracking.
The gunman smiled with sinister.
“Really…?” He took the opportunity and fired at Hinata’s stomach once. Same as last time, this hurt her companion souls and not her.
“Your emotions are not cooping are they? You seem to be much weaker than I remembered people telling me…” he stepped to the Pisces Inscription.
“Shame I can’t use this…”
Hinata clutched her stomach, managing to stay upright.
"Power isn't everything," she spat.
“I’m sure it isn’t…” the gunman knelt down and grabbed the inscription.
“But that’s the only way people are going to notice unannounced warriors like myself…” the gunman dropped a smoke screen on the ground that immediately exploded. Soon after the smoke cleared, the gunman was no longer in sight.
Hinata cursed, falling to her knees. Slowly, excruciatingly slowly, the pain ebbed away as her Companion Souls slowly started to heal. She sat there, eyes closed. She was fighting back her tears. She slowly opened them, looking at Cassius.
Cassius laid motionless on the ground with his eyes still opened. His eyes were blank and blood covered his body. No pulse was given, no breathing can be recognized and no signs of him being alive anymore. His hands started to pale as well as his face, blood loss has affected his appearance.
(I really shouldn’t have someone at a church camp imagine this should I…)
Hinata gently touched him. Caleb's words rang in her ears.
…he shouldn’t mean a single thing to you should he?! She bit her lip. If only things were that easy…
(Don't worry, I've thought of worse while writing XD)
(Ah, that’s ni— wait what?)
Something would rang inside Hinata’s mind. It repeated something. At first, the voice was soft but it got louder as time went by.
“Find me at the Ritual Platform…”
(Don't ask… I have a twisted mind at night…)
Hinata stood slowly. She put her hands in her pockets. She had a determined look on her face. She was going to the Ritual Platform, and it wouldn't be wise to get in her way.
(Right…)
The Ritual Platform was not faraway from where Hinata was. As Hinata was arriving at the platform, she would spot a figure in an armor. The armor seemed to have measuring scales as shoulder pad extensions. They had their back turned to Hinata and seemed to be looking at something in the sky. They were also wearing a full helm so their face was currently blocked from sight.
So, that must be Libra, Hinata thought to herself. She stepped forward.
"Hello?" she said.
The armored figure on the Ritual Platform turned to Hinata’s calling.
“Hello there” their voiced was mumbled under the helm. The figure moved their hand to the helm and pressed something. The front part and the sides of the helm opened up, revealing who would be a familiar person to Hinata by now.
“I am fully aware about Cassius…” Intharachit ruefully smiled and started before Hinata said anything else.
Hinata nodded numbly. She was tempted to use Apathy, but she didn't want to run the chance of it backfiring.
Intharachit glanced behind Hinata once every ten seconds or so, just to make sure no one was attempting something stupid here.
“Are your Companion Souls fully healed?” He asked, his voice was calm compared to the stress he was under.
Hinata nodded again.
"Yes, thankfully."
“That’s good…” he sighed as he said it.
“About Crono—“ Intharachit stopped, a distant explosion had taken place. He turned in that direction and got out his bow. Pulling on it, he fired a Naga arrow just to see what caused the explosion. Whilst waiting, he turned back to Hinata.
“As I was saying, about Cronos. He’s returned to his natural self, one I know and absolutely hate” he accepted the last part with what appears to be rage in his eyes.
The Naga arrow he fired reached its destination…
Intharachit’s eyes widened as he shot his head in that direction. He took a step back away from where he was looking at.
Shit… he thought.
