Lily took a shaky breath, looking down at the cut that was quickly becoming a scar on her palm. "It's…it's final, then? They're going to be okay?"

Malachi nodded his head once. "Yes, they will recover. Gather the things you wish to take with you. We need to leave shortly."

Lily nodded, reaching up to fiddle with her necklace, a gift from her grandmother when she had turned sixteen. She turned, starting for the door out of the kitchen. "I shouldn't take too long, it's all already packed."

Malachi nodded. He trailed behijd ber slowly, taking in the features of the house. It was small, tiny compared to his palace

The house was indeed small, but it was obviously well lived in, and full of memories. The walls were lined with photos of the family, all smiling, laughing, and having fun with each other. There was one odd thing, that someone would have to be observant to notice. Lily was missing in all of the ones dated two years ago, for whatever reason.

Lily slipped back into her bedroom, heading for the box of sentimental items she had been planning on bringing. She grabbed a duffel bag, tossing a few clothes into it, and some items she wanted to bring along, to remind herself of her family. She smiled softly, carefully placing a small stuffed dolphin into the bag, a birthday gift from her brother years ago, before zipping it closed. "Nobody will be back for a couple hours, but if they're all right, I might get a call. We should….we should go, before they do." She said quietly, writing down a quick goodbye note to her family, and setting it on one of the boxes.
