Leah peered into the murky depths of the water, narrowing her eyes as she saw flashes of silver and blue break through the waves. Ghostly voices seemed to be surrounding the ship, singing the same ominous, but beautiful tune.

( I just wanted to let you guys know, I'll be gone for three days, so just continue on this rp. )
(Aww three days?? We'll miss ya!!)
Daso stiffened at the sound of the ephemeral voices surrounding the ship. A fog seemed to be settling over them. The ocean was dark and churning. "Do you hear that?"
(WAIT I HAVRE TO GO DONT SIREN WITHOUT ME)
(SAME HERE!)
Leah nodded, still focusing on the ocean. "Sirens." She muttered, unsheathing her cutlass sword and walking towards the deck. "Get to your posts! We need to get out of this storm now." Leah called towards the crew over the sound of the voices. Rain became to pour down in sheets of water.
(Gtg, goodnight!!)
( night! )
OMG SIRENS YESS sport I leftvso abeuprly we had a power outage!)
Morrigan heard Leah calling and her head snapped up. “Sh*t. Come on.” She grabbed Kameo by the hand and drew him out. “Captain? We need earplugs!”
Daso heard Leah calling out to the crew and moving away from him. He started to turn and follow, but someone grabbed his hand. He whirled around, his brows furrowing in confusion. "Leah? Weren't you just…?"
Leah smiled at him. She wasn't wearing her hat anymore, and her eyes were glowing slightly. She reached out for his face.
(Oh my)
Daso tried to keep his wits about him. Clearly, this was a siren. Not Leah. But the shimmering fog that wrapped around them made it hard to think. "You're not…"
"Would you die for me?" she asked, still smiling.
Cicada heard the siren's song and rushed onto the deck. She saw both Leah and Daso already up there. She saw at least three, four sirens trying to lure her crewmates into their trap. This was one of the few advantages to being Aroace, she would never have a lover, meaning she was almost immune to the sirens song. Cicada ran help get the ship out of the storm.
"Would you die for me?" Leah demanded again, inching closer to him.
He couldn't think, couldn't breathe, all he could see was her face. "Without hesitation."
"And would you live for me?" she asked, her other hand caressing his face.
He nodded mutely. "And," she continued, still with that same enchanting smile, "would you kill for me?"
Cicada saw Daso being lured in by a siren. She shouted at him, "IT'S NOT LEAH! DON'T TRUST IT!"
The question, coupled with Cicada's voice, almost drew him out of her spell. But he couldn't shake her hold, not fully. Her nails sunk into his face. "Would you kill for me? Don't you worship me?"
"I have killed for you," he whispered, taking a few steps back.
Leah grinned, her teeth too sharp. "Then you are devoted. Come with me." She began leading him to the side of the boat.
Cicada saw the siren leading Daso off the boat. She decided it was time for something drastic she charged towards the siren, daggers out.
The siren's face altered as Cicada came close. "Mine!" she hissed, her fangs glinting.
Daso jerked away from her, the spell successfully broken. "Ew, captain, ever heard of a dentist?" he mumbled, making a face. The siren latched her claws into his throat, drawing blood. He struggled, but her vice-like grip wouldn't let up.
Cicada sunk her daggers deep into the siren and pulled her off of Daso, "Get us out of this storm! I'll deal with the sirens."
"Got it," Daso responded, grimacing and wiping blood from his neck. "God, everyone's out for my throat recently. From almost being hanged, to this." He laughed a bit. "Good luck."
"Good luck to you too," Cicada drew her daggers out of the now dead siren. She whipped her head around searching for another. None of the other sirens had come onto the deck, simply singing their hypnotizing song.
Daso hurried up to the bridge. He didn't see Leah around –real Leah, anyway– so he decided to take the wheel himself. The storm was hard to see through and even harder to steer through.
Cicada looked back down at the dead siren, it had changed. She held her breath and the squeezed her daggers till her knuckles were white, "I'm sorry. I'm so so very sorry, but I need to do my job."
She took the body and tossed it back into the sea, tears now in the corner of her eyes.
Ryan heard the commotion and ran upstairs to the deck, immediately feeling sick again. "What the hell is going on?!"
"Sirens!" Cicada shouted to Nobody, "Get back below deck!"
"Sirens? What the hell are sirens?" Ryan asked, frantically looking around.
(do sirens always look like someone you love as a crush, or can it be platonic love?)
( I think Platonic could count. Maybe. Idk)
(yeah because he's not giving up and going below deck but he doesn't have a crush on anyone yet…)
(Platonic counts.)
"Have you ever been on a boat before?" Cicada shouted at him, "Sirens are creatures that take the look of someone who love and lure you to your death by drowning so they can eat you!"
