Sabine gave a sigh of relieve when the bomb exploded in the water. She jumped back into the truck and drove back to her house. As she was going home, she saw the hospital. She decided to go visit. She stopped the truck in front of the hospital and jumped out. She walked up to the front desk and asked to volunteer.
(Ta-da!!!! Now I will really develop her.)
(yay! luv the name :)
Cruz began towards home, keeping an unsaid vow of silence while his thoughts spoke inside his head. He kept his clay-stained hands buried im his pockets against the cold, nose downturned away from the wind.
He knew he'd always had a history of falling fast and hard for girls at the faintest opportunity; and every time it happened, he could always predict how it would end. One of them loses interest, the other agrees, and they'll go separate ways. He was fine with this, until now. Fae was managing to pull out s gentler side of him that he wanted, more than all the time, to hide from the public face. The chance of vulnerability often exposed him to the fires. And someone always gets burned.
Tomorrow, he decided, he'd try her kindness. It was time to see if whatever he thought they had was going to withstand, at least, himself. And he hoped it would.
He pulled down his sleeves.
FUN FACT did you know that pink dolphins exist and live in the amazon river ))
(ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:D<)
(one of Fae's traits before this is that she falls for boys way too easily lol)
(she's straight, by the way)
Fae finished the long conversation with her Gran about an hour later, her grandmother's Fae-made dragon, Pellinara, snoozing contentedly on her lap, smooth, white, scale-less skin gleaming in the light from the setting sun like porcelain, intricate cornflower and dark blue flowery designs on her back and tail accentuating her gorgeous, thoughtful indigo eyes. They ended the visitation together with Fae reading her Gran poems from a thick, beautifully bound volume, head against her shoulder. When she was finished, she kissed the top of her grandmother's head tenderly, tucking her in for a (very early) night and leaving quietly, footsteps soft against the floor. She bade the rest of the children farewell, giving Valentina her yellow flowers and slipping out with her dragons. The setting sun glowed warmly, it's gorgeous rays glimmering on the surface of the water as Fae strolled by the falls, stopping to watch the little miracle, the wind not so cold anymore. Her thoughts drifted to Cruz, and she could feel her cheeks coloring at the mere image of him. He's pretty cute…, she admitted to herself, chewing absentmindedly on her bottom lip. The recent memory of him, grinning rakishly with his arm looped around hers made Fae's heart flutter. You're pathetic., she teased herself. You only met him yesterday! Plus he's three years older than you, and way out of your league.
Still, she couldn't help but smile.
(did you guys like the hospital scene?)
(Yup! They're pretty awesome, and are actually one of my other character's favorite animal :)
FUN FACT: Did you know that cows have best friends?
Yes! :D!! )
I liked the scene btw :D
Is it ok to skip to the next morning?)
(thanks! sure :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cruz turned over in bed, heavy head reluctantly waking. He brought a hand to his head to draw through his unkempt hair, squinting towards the digital clock on his bedside table. Nine or so in the morning. Early for him, he supposed.
He opened his mouth in a large, satisfyin yawn, drawing his tongue over his chapped lips. The navy curtain pulled across his window kept his room pleasantly dim, but there was a shaft of light escaping that sliced across the wall and right into his eyes in blinding light. Awesome.
(That scene was beautiful. And I LOVE animals. The cow fact was one of my favorite facts about animals. My dad used to live in the Amazon. Did you know that an elephant reacts to a human the way a human reacts to a puppy? Meaning that elephants think that we are cute.)
YES AHHH )
(XD)
(OMG I'M DYING OF CUTENESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS)
Fae's alarm clock rang, yanking her blessedly out of a disturbing dream. Fae, gagged, in the backseat of a moving car, ears ringing with the sick laughter of the man driving. "Why don't we have some… fun together at my place..?" She shook her head to dispel the nightmare, gazing out of her window at the first rays of sun streaking out from under the horizon. She yawned, a blue spectacled dragon peeking out from behind one of the curtains. "Morning, Zoe.", she said, blinking the gunk out of her eyes and scratching behind the dragon's elegant, gold-tipped horns. She got up and went to her closet, the sight of her many (maybe too many) knitted outfits making the corner of her mouth twitched. She selected her pretty eggshell pink, white, yellow, and pale green blouse decorated in a whimsical floral design with her nice white baggy draw-string trousers, cuffed at the ankles, as well as a cute set of Easter-themed bracelets and necklace.
(I gtg, ill continue tomorrow, srry)
Cruz kept his arm rested hehind his head on the pillow, turning onto is back with his phone in his other hand. It was a bit tricky to type out a text with one thumb, but managed.
Goodmorning
Sabine jumped out of her bed. Today's the day! She thought giddily. She threw open her curtains and let the light stream in. She made her bed, then began rummaging through her many boxes and suitcases for her stuff. She began putting stuff away as she went, not wanting to have a whole lot of work to do later. She picked out a pair of dark skinny jeans, a white shirt, knee-length brown boots, and a red plaid long-sleeved shirt around her waist. She then twisted her long hair into a high ponytail and slipped on her brother's baseball hat. She slipped her daggers into her boots, then grabbed her backpack and her phone. She ran into the kitchen where her mom was making breakfast. "Morning Mom!" She kissed her mom on the cheek then sat down next to Falon.
(@Lil-Owl yessssssssssssssss they're gonna text!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(For Fae, it's 6:30 right now, so I'll have to wait a bit until she receives the text.)
(just pretend spray-on temporary hair dye that comes out after three showers exists, k?)
Setting her outfit down, Fae made her bed, brushed her teeth, and had a quick, ten-minute shower, drying her hair afterwards just enough so that it was still damp. She then took out a cylindrical pink spray bottle (Rainbow Dye - the spray-on temporary hair dye for you!), making sure she'd followed the instructions so far, and with an old, misused towel wrapped around her, she carefully sprayed the pale pink dye –almost the same color as the pink on her blouse– onto her hair, turning it a light, Easter-y shade of pink that would be washed out by the end of the week. Satisfied, Fae blow-dried her hair, fluffing it a bit, and slipped into her room to get into her plain baking clothes, the ones that she wasn't afraid to get dirty. She would change when she was done helping out in the bakery. Pascal's birthday today!, she thought, picturing the little green dragon as she ran downstairs, her watch reading 7:08.
"Morning, sweet-pea!", her mother greeted her. "Your father's just getting dressed, grab some breakfast and come help me with this cake. Very pretty hair, by the way"
Almost an hour later, every flat surface in the bakery's kitchen had been completely covered with numerous fresh-baked Easter treats. Fae took out the special vanilla cupcake with a miniature cotton candy nest filled with little chocolate eggs, and put it on a miniature platter, carrying it up the stairs to her room. Waiting outside the door for her as planned were Grace, Zoe, and Milo, three of her dragons. When they saw her, the each did a special knock on the door, listening to make sure that the dragons positioned behind it had heard, and a second later someone from inside knock back. Fae entered, singing "Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you.." The rest of the dragons (19 of them) hummed along excitedly, each giving a cutesy little hug to the sweet, tiny dragon sitting on Fae's carpet, eyes shining happily. "Happy Birthday Pascal!", Fae grinned, setting the cupcake in front of the small green dragon with little lilac horns.
After that was finished, Fae got into her Easter outfit, slipping on a white fabric headband as an afterthought, not wanting to admit to herself that she was trying to look pretty for… Cruz. Pathetic., she said to herself, checking her reflection in the mirror and running back down to help out in the bakery.
An hour later, at around 9:00, Fae was excused to her room, and felt her phone buzz in her front pocket. Pulling it out and resting against the headboard of her bed, she saw with a burst of pleasure and excitement that it was from Cruz.
Happy Easter!, she texted back quickly. You woke up early today!, she teased.
(ooh, who's this Falon? Sabine's brother, maybe?)
(One of Sabine's little sisters. She was with Sabine in the beginning.)
