"Yeah." She smile softly, watching Jackal turn. She ran her hands through her hair.
"Yeah." She smile softly, watching Jackal turn. She ran her hands through her hair.
“Jackal probably misses his family…” Cassius voice echoed through Hinata’s mind.
She nodded slightly. She pushed herself off the wall and move to stand next to Jackal. She put a hand on his shoulder.
Jackal was tearing up quite aggressively. He was holding onto something and holding it to his head. His tears fell to the ground like rain. When Hinata tried to comfort him, Jackal turned to her. The tears rolling down his face reflected the moonlight coming through the window.
Hinata smiled softly. She didn't say anything; she knew sometimes all you had to do was be there.
Jackal managed to stop within seconds.
“So, how’s your family?” He asked calmly.
"They seem to be doing well." Hinata had a wistful look on her face.
“Ah, that’s nice” he wiped his tears completely dry. “Excuse the tears…” he chuckled ruefully.
Hinata shook her head.
"In all my years, I've never let people apologize for tears."
Tolkalee and Seth followed Dakota silently into the building. They were both half hoping that their bad feelings were for her, but half of them knew it probably wasn't.
Jackal nodded.
“It’s just…” he sighed “…anyways, go to sleep… we’ll talk tomorrow…” he said, walking away from Hinata.
“Oh right, I forgot something. I was gonna tell you…uh… something…” he turned back to Hinata.
"Yeah? Well, tell away." She had her hands in her pockets again.
“One of the Marquesses contacted me, telling me he wanted to meet you to give you something. I’ll take you to him tomorrow if you’re fine with that” he stated.
"Sure, I'm good with that." She was curious now. Of course, sleep was always good. Always.
“Alright, see you in the morning” he ended, walking back up the stairs.
"See ya," she called after. She stepped back into her room, sitting on the bed.
Cassius’ spirit came out of Hinata’s body.
“If my guess is correct, the Marquess who wants to see you is the youngest one… older than me though. If it is him, you’ll like him very much I promise” he claimed with a smile, sitting on the stool again.
"Well, then I'm looking forward tomorrow." Hinata yawned slightly.
“Go to sleep, sweet dreams I guess…” Cassius gave her a faint smile while still on the stool.
Hinata smiled slightly.
"Thanks." She laid down, almost immediately going to sleep.
(Are we gonna do a time-skip? I’ll make Dakota, Tolkalee and Seth sleep on the couch downstairs if so XD)
(I mean if wildest warrior doesn't respond, I'm good with it.)
(Smacks time jump button YA YEET!!)
Cassius got closer to Hinata’s sleeping body. He shook her with her shoulder.
“Wake up Hinata, it’s seven in the morning…”
Hinata opened her eyes, sitting up.
"Already?" She asked.
Tolkalee stood up and stretched. He hadn't slept through the night, and he knew that Seth hadn't either. Seth glanced at him through the corner of his eye. "Yesterday, that feeling we both got. I only ever got that feeling when-"
"When she was involved, I know," Tolkalee replied in a low voice. "We have to go back today. As much as I want to stay and try and help the Knights with this problem, I have to go back and help. No one but us two know about her and what she can do. They'll never be able to stop the war without us."
Dakota was already awake.
“Problems at home huh?” He asked, still lying on the couch though.
Cassius nodded.
“Time flies when you’re used to living here” he looked out the window as the sun rises.
Hinata chuckled, sitting up. She slipped her combat boots on, lacing them up.
Cassius giggled at something.
“You know, I’m impressed…”
"Oh?" Hinata asked, looking up from her shoes.
"Why's that?"
“Not a lot of people get comfortable with the Knights here. Usually a day or two here is enough for them. And look at you, you literally befriended almost every single Knight… and probably Viscount if you met them. Heck, you’ve slept in Matthew’s house AND Julian’s” Cassius explained his thoughts.
