“We should go find some,” Sterling said with a grin. “Pink or blue?”
“We should go find some,” Sterling said with a grin. “Pink or blue?”
“Blue,” Eden answered, wrapping her arms around his own, hugging it to her chest. “I think I liked that the most.”
“Then we’ll get blue. As soon as we find it…” Sterling mused, glancing around. His eyes landed on a cart with pink and blue and yellow cotton candy hanging from it in bags, and he smiled. “There we go.”
“Or my lovely boyfriend could get pink,” Eden chuckled, squeezing his arm before she pulled away to take out her wallet from her bag. “What do you think?”
Sterling set his hand on her arm to stop her. “For one, of you want blue, then we’re getting blue. Two, you don’t have to pay. It’s my treat today.”
“Are we getting one, or two?” Eden tilted her head before she listened to his next statement and bit her lip. “You know you don’t have to pay every time, right?”
“Let’s start with one. We can always get another later if we want it,” Sterling mused with a shrug. “And I know. I like I pay, though.”
“All right,” Eden hummed, letting him pay this time. She hugged his arm again. “I’ll let you pay for today.”
Sterling chuckled. “All right, babe,” he said before paying for the cotton candy. He handed her the bag and kissed her forehead. “Shall we explore?”
"For sure," Eden chuckled, opening the bag slowly and pulled a small piece in her mouth before she tore apart another and held it to Sterling's lips. "Is there anything you want to try out, Sterling?"
Sterling took the piece with his teeth, playfully nipping the tip of her finger. “What about a roller coaster? They’ve got a few of them.”
Eden huffed when he lightly bit on her finger. She flicked his nose in retaliation. “That sounds fun,” she hummed. “A roller coaster.”
“Great. You can pick which one,” Sterling declared with a grin, pulling another piece of blue fluff from the bag.
(Steeling? XD)
“Is there are a free fall?” Eden murmured, plucking a piece from the bag and putting it in her mouth slowly. “I used to adore those. Sterling, we should go bowling some time, too.” Eden paused, blinking before she added a little more quietly. “We can—we can also bring along my brother and his girlfriend.”
“That sounds like a great idea. Think they’d like to join us?” Sterling asked, kissing her on the cheek. “And I guess we’ll have to see if they have a free fall. Maybe we should grab a map.”
“They might. I don’t know for sure,” Eden admitted before she scratched the back of her neck, twirling her ponytail around her hand. “We should have, yeah. I’m not very… good with maps.”
Sterling chuckled softly and pecked her on the lips, smiling at the sugary taste from the cotton candy. “You taste like sugar, babe… And don’t worry about the map. I’ll figure it out.”
Eden grumbled under her breath, leaning into Sterling a bit more. “That’s because I am eating sugar, Sterling. And all right. The map’s all yours.”
“I know why you tase like sugar, beautiful. I just like teasing you,” Sterling said with a muffled laugh. “Where would we find a map, anyway…?”
“Of course you do. Of course,” Eden huffed under her breath, tucking a strand of hair that came loose from the hair tie behind her ear. “And I think those are supposed to be found at the entrance, my smart one.”
“Hey, you never know if there’ll be one at a kiosk or something somewhere,” Sterling said with a shrug before taking and leading her back to the gates.
Eden tugged his arm, trying to stop him. “Let’s not use the map,” she insisted. “We can get lost. It’ll be fun.”
Sterling grinned and kissed her head. “Sounds like a good deal. Now… Any idea where your ride is?”
“I’ve got no clue,” Eden chuckled. “But we can find out, can’t we?”
“You bet we can. Left or right first?” Sterling asked as they came to the curve in the road.
“Left,” Eden responded, hugging his arm. “Left sounds perfect.”
“Then left it shall be,” Sterling declared in a stage voice, grinning as he led her to the left.
“You are ridiculous, Sterling,” Eden said, though she couldn’t help but laugh as she let him lead her.
Sterling winked and tightened his arm around her. “Ooh, do you think they have freshly baked cookies here? I went to a fair in Minnesota once with the best cookies.”
Eden furrowed her eyebrows in concentration. “Did you? We do have things like that here. There should be food stalls here.”
