Hinata stood beside Cassius, glad not be in the figure's grip anymore.
Hinata stood beside Cassius, glad not be in the figure's grip anymore.
(Imagine this being around 1 AM of the Labyrinth)
Dakota straightened himself and the flower bed he slept on disappeared.
“Sounds like a good reason to get up” he said, a bouquet in his hand just in case something happens.
Cassius’ red vein like strings came from his arms and formed the shape of a guillotine blade.
“Stay behind me at all times… his target isn’t me…” Cassius whispered, he knew what the Parasitic Host wanted.
The Parasitic Host grinned.
“So… Anatomy boy… a little protective of your visitor aren’t you?” the figure teased as the strings from their arm rushed Cassius and tossed him out the window, the figure followed right after. Cassius was now nine meters away from Hinata.
(On the other end of the spectrum)
Inside the Celestial Hall, Alan took the kids to help with the preparation. Some Knights and Viscounts were already there and were preparing for the event in four days time.
The Master was there as well. He was watching the Knights and Viscounts work and he was satisfied with what they were doing.
“Anyone has any idea where the ninth and tenth generation are?” One of the people in the hall asked.
“No idea, but they’re probably coming” another answered, decorating a tree and setting down presents underneath it.
Viscount Leo Francis was in the throne room with the Prince and the Three Watchers.
“I apologize for my inappropriate entrance your majesty… but I have not been able to contact Viscount Curtis Nicholas for quite a while now… where might he be, your majesty…?” Leo said as he knelt down in front of the throne.
The Prince, who had both of his eyes closed, laughed lightly at what Leo asked him.
“Curtis… is currently collecting some… interesting seeds for us in another realm…” the Prince stated to Leo before opening his eyes to reveal one pitch black eye and one unnatural silver eye.
Leo nodded.
“Thank you your majesty…” he ended, standing up and walked out of the throne room.
Hinata ran to the window, looking down at what was happening. She knew what Cassius had said, but she felt like she had to protect him too.
Cassius was struggling to keep up with the attacker’s speed as he can’t mobilize outside of the ten meter radius. He caught the figure by their leg and threw them across the field outside the house.
The Parasitic Host decided that right now was not the right time to attack, someone in the house was one he didn’t want to hurt. When he landed after Cassius’ attack, he disappeared from the field, no longer within the area of the house.
Cassius launched himself back up to the window with his red strings and stepped inside the house. He sighed.
“Sorry… that was uncalled for…” he stared off at the window.
Dakota closed his eyes as he stood straight.
“Where are we going…?” He asked the two men as he opened his eyes to reveal his oceanic blue eyes. His bouquet bloomed beautifully when he opened his eyes.
Tolkalee shrugged. "We don't know anything here l. We don't know."
Dakota sighed.
“Well, do you have any idea where she is?” He asked.
In the Throne Room…
“How is Curtis, your majesty…?” One of the Three Watchers asked.
The Prince thought about the answer for a bit.
“Not in his best shape… I told him that all we needed was one strong soul… I don’t know what he’s doing with a wolf though…” the royal replied, with his silver colored eye flashing once every moment or so.
“Understood, your majesty…” the Watcher ended.
Hinata turned to Cassius.
"You have any idea why he attacked?" At one in the freaking morning?! she thought to herself.
Tolkalee shook his head then looked around. Seth suddenly tensed up and his head shot up. "Something just happened," he said. "Tolkalee we gotta get back. Now."
"I felt it to, calm down. They're okay, let's focus on what's here," Tolkalee replied. He looked around. "I know she was here, we just have to find where she went."
Cassius turned back to Hinata.
“Your Apathy ability… that man is able to harness abilities from the essence of those he hurt. Meaning, he can get that specific ability by eating off your flesh, your internal organs, drinking your blood or… worst case scenario, eating your guts out” he flinched a little at what he said. “Think of him as an ability hyena, that works too” Cassius’ eyes were flashing gold caduceuses.
Dakota nodded.
“What are we waiting for then” he ran to the elevator panel and pressed the First Floor button. The three men were teleported to the first floor of the Arena. Dakota quickly went to the door and opened it for the two men.
“C’mon, I think I know where she might be” his eyes were flashing blue caduceuses.
Tolkalee and Seth both dashed after him. Because of their strong ties with their friends, they could feel that something was wrong.
(I like how we’re at a point where Tolkalee and Seth call Hinata their friend, that’s cute)
Dakota rushed towards the Soul Garden.
“Rose, rose, rose…” he looked around the place for a specific rose. When he found it, he picked it up and the men were teleported to in front of a house. The house was relatively large, it stood in the middle of a plain. The plain had other houses in the distance but that’s not important right now.
“Yeah… she’s probably here…” Dakota said to the men.
Cassius felt a slight hint of relief down his spine.
“Good job, Azure… they’re here…” he looked down in the direction of the front door.
In the Throne Room…
“Why isn’t he getting that electricity guy?!” One of the Three Watchers seemed angry with someone’s actions.
“There’s a reason… we already have Neil, Mason, Sebastian and Marcus whose abilities are associated with electricity. Sure, another one would be nice, but he’s smarter than that… I think he has a plan…” The Prince commented and gave his own thoughts.
“Curtis isn’t that smart… but sure…” the Watcher muttered.
"Good," Tolkalee placed his hand on his dagger. Seth had his sword out, as they neared the building.
"Okay, first off, that's terrifying. Second, who's here?" Hinata did not like the idea of getting eaten in any way shape or form.
Dakota opened the door, knowing most people would be asleep by this point.
“Keep quiet, we don’t want wake anyone up right now do we?” Dakota stated, leading them up the stairs.
Cassius smiled.
“You’ll see soon enough…” Cassius’ spirit shrunk, phasing through Hinata’s body.
“Don’t mind me, I’ll be staying in your body for a while” his voice echoed in Hinata’s mind.
"Okay then." Hinata put her hands in her pocket, leaving against the wall. She wasn't tired anymore, but she was still weary.
Jackal walked down from the third floor and saw Hinata with blood around her.
“W…What happened…?” He asked nervously. He had one had behind his back with his other covering his mouth.
"Parasitic Host," she said, remembering what Cassius had called the figure.
Jackal sighed and nodded.
“Makes sense…” he said. “Where did he go?” He asked, looking around at the corpses.
"No idea." Hinata sighed. Of course, that could describe most of what she felt about the Labyrinth.
“Right…” Jackal realized that corpses were of Arthur, Royce and Axel.
“Someone really hates angelic beings…” he muttered.
Hinata rubbed her neck. She really didn't want a run in with Parasitic Host again, but it was probably gonna happen.
"This is not what I thought I would be doing on my vacation, I'll be honest."
“Can we just agree that this might be your worst vacation ever? Or are you gonna tell me that you have had worse…” Jackal questioned her.
"It's up there, but you're right to assume I've had worse." She chuckled to herself, like it was an inside joke.
"But not everything's been bad."
“Oh? What have you found that made you think that this place isn’t that bad?” Jackal asked, he was genuinely surprised to find someone who says that the Labyrinth wasn’t the worst place in the whole multiverse.
"Well, I got to visit my parents, which was probably one of the best things to happen to me in about two centuries. Plus, not everyone wants to hurt/kill me, which is always a plus." She laughed softly.
“Family Reunion, always nice” Jackal turned away from Hinata and teared up a little. He wasn’t fully crying but he just had tears in his eyes.
