The wolf shrugged "To feel superior to him? to make him feel bad? No one knows but he." They moved onto another mural. This one depicting a picture of Cerberus. "The main guard of the gates."

"I've heard about him, the three headed dog?" Perrie asked, looking down at the wolf for an answer.
He nodded "yep, cousin of mine. Actually really nice." He trotted off and climbed a broken part of the ruins, curling up on the cliff "You two head-on, I'll stay here." he said with a yawn
"Alright, good bye!" Perrie kept following the deer, turning once to wave at him.
The wolf winked at her before settling his head on his paws "you really need to stop following her around like that," he muttered.
Hades glanced down at his old friend "I can't find myself to do that."
Perrie walked alongside the deer, completely oblivious to the discussion behind her.
The deer glanced back and smiled softly. She made her way down ruin steps and turned to the left. "We have many guardians of the underworld here "your Hades, being one of them."
Perrie faltered at the implication of her Hades. She gathered herself quickly. "I never realized that." She said softly, looking around again.
She nodded "mhm, many guardians. Mostly hidden or out of sight." she explained, glancing at a pair of bushes and walking on "Hellhounds."
Perrie looked up at the mention of them, glancing around once more. She didn't see any guardians, but she suddenly had the feeling of being watched.
"They make their presence known if only they wish it. Otherwise, you get the feeling of being watched." She walked around the corner and stopped "really?" she muttered, unimpressed by the pup that growled at her. "And some need training. Perrie, this is Darren, our newest addition to the Guardians."
"Aaw." She reached out a hand to pet the puppy. "He's adorable. Unless I should be acting afraid?"
"acting is good, it'll get him into the right mind set. Though I don't think he minds you." The puppy nudged into Perrie's hand and danced around happily. The deer glanced up as the pups mother stalked fowards. She sat down and watched as her son played with the goddess
Perrie sat down on the grass, chasing the puppy around with her hands as an unconscious smile swept across her face.
The hellhound layed on her side, convinced that her son was safe with Perrie and rested her head on her paws. The deer sat down and watched with a content smile "Little thing doesn't know much yet but he's great at keeping other's company."
Perrie looked up at the words, nodding before turning back to rub the little ears thoroughly.
The puppy danced around Perrie and jumped up onto her lap
"He's a feisty little thing."
Perrie grinned at the puppy and stood up carefully, holding him close despite the squirming and licking. "He's adorable. And he'll grow up to be a guard?"
The deer stood "mhm, Just like his mom." The deer jerked her head to the Hellhound, who was now stalking towards Perrie, warily aware of her pup in Perrie's arms. She sat in front of her expectantly
Perrie bit her lip before reaching out a hand, palm up, fingers curled ever so slightly. She held it perfectly still, looking beneath the mother's eyes as a quiet greeting.
The hellhound sniffed her hand before nuzzling into it with a content growl. Hades watched from the shadows of the ruins with a surprised grin
Her smile widened and spread across her face. She reached up to stroke her ears, one hand keeping the pup in her lap secure. "You aren't so bad, are you?" She asked the hound sweetly.
She shook her head and layed down on her back
" She likes you." The deer explained with a small smile
"She's very sweet." Perrie reached a hand to scratch the mother's side, still cradling the pup.
The deer nodded "most of them are, your lucky to find the mom. If it were Darrens father, another story would have been told."
"Really? He can't be that bad." She looked up at the deer, shifting closer to the hound and keeping the pup occupied with a loose thread from her sleeve.
"he's not, just protective. Once you get past him thinking your a threat, he's fine." The deer said
Hades smiled softly and retreats snack into the shadows
Perrie nodded slowly. "Even on the surface, animal parents are protective like that. It really isn't different down here." She said the last part to herself.
The deer nodded in agreement "tis true." The hell hound mother stood and gently took the puppy by the scruff, setting him down on the ground
Perrie pushed herself to her feet, standing up and turning back to the deer. "How many kinds of animals are there here?"
