Babe's grin widened at the sight of the pizza, and she was quick to claim a still hot piece. Starting at the crust, she began to eat. "So, what's the team's track record with winnin'?"

Henry laughed through his first bite of the pizza. "Not great. I think we've won… Four or five games? In the last three years. The first year, we didn't compete, though. Not enough players. So two years."

Babe blinked, furrowing her eyebrows. "Four or five? God, I've got my work cut out with y'all." She finished off her piece after that, almost like a magic trick with how fast it had disappeared.

"We just don't have enough committed players. Maybe this season." He grabbed another piece to add to his plate, insuring she wouldn't eat the rest.

"Maybe. Y'wanna know a surefire way t' get 'em committed?" Babe asked, raising an eyebrow as she started on another piece of pizza.

"Definitely." He said it through a large mouth of pizza, covering his mouth as he tried to chew through it.

"Scare 'em." She said simply, picking an olive off the pizza, despite having plenty on the slice she was eating. "Threats, that kinda thing."

"Doable, now that we have a full team. Last year we needed them to be able to compete." He finished his slice and moved to the next one, starting to list ideas.

"Lemme know if ya need help with that. I'm pretty good at bein' scary when I wanna be." Babe said, moving on to what at this point was probably her fourth piece.

Henry grinned. "Maybe when you're medicated." He nudged her under the table. "You want another pizza?"

"I told ya I could eat three, and ya didn' believe me." Babe pointed out, nudging him back. "I haven' eaten all day." And yet, she somehow managed to not answer the original question at all.

He raised an eyebrow. "Do you not get fed at home?" He pulled his legs to the side, out of Babe's kicking reach.

"There's food, I just don' eat all that often when I'm busy." Babe said with a shrug, balling up a napkin and tossing it at him.

Henry shook his head, catching the napkin. "That's not healthy." He raised an eyebrow. "I'll be right back, order us another pizza. Do not take my last slice."

"I'm going to take your last slice." Babe said, completely ignoring his first comment as she juggled a couple olives she'd set aside on her plate.

Henry rubbed his head, placing the order quickly and coming back, a half glare on his face.

Babe hadn't eaten the piece of pizza, but she had stolen every single pepperoni off his slice. She smiled innocently up at him, lifting a hand in a wave.

Henry shook his head ruefully. "Take it- it's a disgusting blob now." He sat down quickly taking a deep breath and checking his watch.

"You're so dramatic." Babe said, snorting as she tossed a pepperoni at him before leaning back. "It's still the same piece of pizza, just without the processed mystery meat."

"It's pepperoni, the magical sausage slice. Don't ruin my illusions." He sighed and put each piece back on the pizza slice before lifting it to start eating it.

"But that's the only thing I'm good at." She complained dramatically, slouching more in her seat as she grinned.

Henry sighed deeply. "Do you want my pepperoni?" He asked, halfway through his slice.

"Nah, I like bacon more." Babe said, looking around the pizza place once more. This time, she seemed a bit more focused on the other patrons. "I just wanted to see what your reaction would be if I took them."

"Good, because I wasn't going to give you them anyway." He finished his slice and rested his head on his hands to watch her closely.

"So grumpy." She singsonged with a smile, continuing to watch the restaurant's patrons. She'd finally gotten quiet, at last finding something that managed to take up her attention for a bit.

Henry got up to get their second pizza, and on his way back followed her line of vision. He studied her for a moment and set down the pizza, turning to look in the same direction she was.
