Arvil stared at her for a moment before a snort escaped his lips, and he had to press his hand on his mouth to hold in his laughter. But God did she look hot doing that.

“Whoa, easy there, Tiger,” he snickered. “Stay calm.”

Arvil rolled his eyes again. “Right, scare the puppy,” he repeated, looking over at her with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Definitely not, Tiger. This puppy likes to bite.”

Daisy blinked, a light blush coming to her cheeks. She hummed, nodding slowly. “Yeah, I’ll bet he does. Tigers have incredibly strong jaws, you know.”

When he noticed the blush on her cheeks, Arvil’s grin turned into a wicked smirk. “Well, that, they do,” he murmured. “No doubt about it.”

“Bite me, then,” Arvil tried keeping back a snicker. “Not provoked enough, Darling?”

Deleted user

Arvil couldn’t believe what he’d barely heard. Was she serious? He blinked before pulling the smirk back on his features.

“The neck seems like a good spot, don’t you think?” He chuckled. “That’s where a tiger goes for the killing blow, no?”

Arvil chuckled, shaking his head. “You’re ridiculous, Daisy,” he ruffled her hair. “Extremely so.”

“Yeah, the park,” Arvil nodded as he realized they were already outside. “Do you want to walk, or should we drive?”

“All ri—“ Arvil opened his mouth, but was cut off with his phone ringing in his pocket. He sighed and took it out, furrowing his eyebrows when he saw the caller ID. “Sorry, love, I need to take this.”

Arvil simply rolled his eyes, and though he turned his back on her, he didn't walk off.

"Arvil Davis," he spoke, all traces of playfulness dying in his voice. He paused, waiting for the other person to finish speaking before he sighed. "Right now? All right. I'm on my way."

He hung up before turning to Daisy apologetically. "Sorry, love, I need to go. I'll call you later, okay? This time, I promise I won't leave you hanging."

"Yeah," Arvil stepped closer, cupped her cheeks and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. He pulled away, smirked and winked at her. "So you keep thinking of me~"

“You know you love me,” Arvil winked before his expression softened. “Don’t say goodbye, Daisy. It makes me feel like you’re never going to come back.”

Deleted user

“It better not be,” Arvil looked at her, eyes fixed on her face. “I’m not letting you leave forever, you know.”

Daisy blinked up at him, rather surprised by the intensity in his eyes. What— Why was he looking at her like that? Like he was looking right into her soul… She could feel her neck warming up slowly, a blush causing her to grow pink.

“Right. Of course,” she said quietly, nodding once. “I, uh… I actually need to grab my purse from your office. Do you mind if I do that?”

Why was she so beautiful? He absolutely adored her eyes, the way they sparkled whenever she was up to no good, or when she was happy. And those lips—he could kiss them forever if he could and never get tired of them. Heck, if he could just look at her for the rest of his life… he’d be content by it. And her cheeks… they’d begun to turn pink, and Arvil loved it when they did.

Her voice snapped him out of his thoughts and Arvil blinked. “Hm? Ah, of course. Want me to come with?”

“Don’t you have somewhere to be?” Daisy reminded him, raising her eyebrows.

He had looked distant for a moment, and he had been staring at her. Why was he staring at her? That gaze of his just flustered her, not that she would ever tell him that. No, she didn’t need the man to know what she found so attractive about him. That would not go well for her.

“I’d rather be with you,” the words escaped Arvil’s lips before he could hold them back, but he pretended he had meant to say them. His expression hadn’t changed. “And I’m going to my floor, too. So why not go there with you?”

That was a lie, of course. The conference room was on the second floor, but he couldn’t make himself want to leave her.

“Oh. Well, then, I guess we’re going back up,” Daisy murmured, giving him a small smile. She turned away to step toward the elevator again, pressing the call button for it.

“Up and up we go,” Arvil muttered, eyes following her movement. Maybe he shouldn’t be in a closed space with her. What if he did something stupid—like pull her in for a kiss? It had been a long while since they last locked lips. He was starting to crave it again, and that was not a good thing.

Daisy’s stuck her hands in the pockets of her blazer and looked up at the numbers as the elevator came down for them. She could feel his eyes on her back, and it was having a bad effect on her. It was making her want to pull him against her and back herself against a wall. And make out. Heavily. Maybe she should take the stairs…
