“No. I don’t think anyone does. Let’s try flying in formation.” Shiro suggested.

Cammy made a noise of casual agreement, paired with a shrug no one else could see. Anxiety suddenly knotted her stomach at the prospect, mainly at the fact that they had no clue what they were doing. She kept quiet though, following Shiro's lead as Blue and the other lions eventually made their way into a basic formation.

“Alright team, we can do this, we’ve just gotta believe in one another.”
Alex sighed and rolled his eyes and Shiro’s cringy attempt to hype the team up but he didn’t say anything about it.

"D'you believe in life after love~" Cammy sang softly, apparently unaware she had even done so. "Y'think it's just that easy? Believing in each other?"

"Yes, I do. We were chosen to do this, to defend the universe. If we don't believe in each other then we;re not going to save many people, are we?"

"I guess not." Cammy agreed, albeit a bit reluctantly. Sure, she believed in Hunk. He was her best friend, and he'd been there for her since the moment they'd met. And Pidge, smart, slightly scary, and talented Pidge, had her full trust, even if she was occasionally wary around him. She even believed in Shiro, who'd been one of her heroes, a role model at the Garrison. But Alex…she hated him. Or, she was supposed to hate him…

"He's right," Alex spoke up, albeit quietly, "We need to form Voltron, and we need to believe we can do this."

I believe he's a good person. Cammy shook her head, tightening her grip on the joystick. "Let's fuckin' do this then."

"Alright team. Form Voltron!"
It took a moment, as if it wasn't actually going to happen, but then were bursts of red, blue, yellow, green and purple light. The light engulfed the five lions and when it fizzled out into nothing, the planet saving Voltron was formed.

"Holy shit holy shit holy shit." Cammy looked around the cockpit, eyes wide. They had actually done it. "Are y'all seeing this?"

"I'm a leg!" Hunk exclaimed, among Pidge's curious mutterings that were mostly tuned out.

(Noice)

"See? What did I tell you guys?" Shiro chuckled and even Alex cracked a tiny, near invisible smile.

"Let's kick some ass then!" Cammy said, grinning. Pidge started to suggest learning to use Voltron first, and was cut off by Cammy's 'no time'.

Voltron swung at the ship. The front of the ship dented at the force of the impact and the small fighter ships that were near by were barely making a dent in the new weapon.

Something on the top of the ship shifted, and a laser cannon rose from the new opening, aimed at Voltron. A purple beam shot from it, straight towards the Defender.

Voltron swerved out the way, narrowly missing the purple beam. If they'd been a second slower they would have been hit.

"Alex! You got a bayard port up there?" Cammy shouted into the comms as they dodged another attack.

Alex scanned the control board in front of him, "Yeah I do!" He shouted back.

"See if it does anything!" She suggested, as another blast was fired. "'Cause I don't think punching this ship over and over is going to help all that much!"

"For once I agree with you." Alex mumbled, placing his bayard into the port. A moment later, a sword and and shield was formed.

Cammy rolled her eyes at his muttering, but that quickly turned to a grin as the sword was formed. "Fuck yeah!"
The Galra ship was preparing for another attack, slowly powering up the blaster in hopes of using one final shot to take Voltron out.

Voltron flew forwards, sword at the ready. Before the blaster had a chance to attack, the sword cut clean through the metal, chopping it in two.

The ship was running out of options, and fast. More drones and fighter ships were deployed, but they were easy to dodge or slash. "I feel like I'm playing Fruit Ninja." Cammy said, as another fighter ship came at them, a squadron behind it.

"Focus Cammy," Shiro said, eyes scanning the squadron coming their way, "Keep your head in the battle."

"I am focusing. I'll have you know, I was the best at fruit ninja." Cammy huffed, but shit up afterward. The squadron attempted to fire a concentrated blast at Voltron.

Voltron swerved, through they didn't quite make it out the way of the attack and their left side was grazed, causing the weapon to shake and shutter form the force.

The ships seemed to gain confidence after that, firing blast after blast when they could.

Luckily Voltron managed to doge the rest, slashing the ships to pieces.

All that was left now was the big ship, and Hunk's less panicked muttering functioning as a soundtrack.

Voltron soared towards the ship, dodging a few stray attacks from fighter ships that had managed to avoid their attacks. The sword raised and went straight through the bridge of the ship.
