He shrugged and laughed "we're leaving soon." He said, checking his watch.
He shrugged and laughed "we're leaving soon." He said, checking his watch.
Avalin nodded and smiled, "Where are we going after we leave?" She looked around and then up at him, snapping one more picture of him with a small laugh.
He sighed softly and covered the camera lense "We're going back to new york. Strange is going to bring us to one more place."
She giggled when he covered the camera lense and tucked the camera away, "Are you going to tell me where he's taking us? Or is that going to be a surprise as well?"
"The latter. You know I like to surprise." He said with a side glance and a wink. "You liked this surprise . I have full confidence that you'll like this one as well."
She sighed and looked up at him, "I don't like surprises though, even if they're good surprises." She leaned against him and poked his side, "What if I don't like the surprise?"
He laughed and scooted away from her poking "Then I'm a terrible husband." he said with a smile "I think you'll like this one. You get to choose half of it anyways."
A slightly puzzled look crossed over her face she she tried to think of where they were going from the slight clue he gave her. "C'mon, can't you just whisper it to me? I won't tell Strange," She replied, a small smile on her face.
He shook his head "no amount of begging is going to affect my choice love. "Strange doesn't know either. Not yet at least."
She sighed and pouted as if she was a child, “You’re no fun.” She pulled out her camera and quickly snapped another picture of him in protest, grinning as she tucked the camera away again.
"and it would be less fun if I told you." He laughed and glanced around at the streets, seeing vendors of all types. Some selling jewelery, some selling food.
"No it wouldn't," She replied, looking up at him before starting to wander around the street, not waiting for him to come with.
He sighed softly and followed quietly.
I think we might need to be picked up early. He texted Strange
why?
A's getting mad that I won't tell her where we're going.
ah I see, I'll be there in 20
Avalin glanced back at him a few times as she wandered from stand to stand, not buying anything though some of the jewelry did catch her eye.
He glanced up and smiled, coming up behind her and wrapping her in his arms "you're mad with me, aren't you?" He asked softly
She didn't respond for a moment, finally saying, "….A little." She crossed her arms and continued looking around at the shops as best she could while wrapped in his arms.
He nudged her head with his affectionately "would you be less mad if I told you part of it?" He asked, hoping Strange would come soon so he didn't have to be guilted into telling Avalin
"..Most likely," She replied, her head tilting back to rest against his chest. As much as she didn't want to admit it at that moment, she liked being in his arms even when she was mad at him.
He sighed softly and nodded "we're going to adopt a pet of your choosing. Strange will bring us to a shelter close in New York and you'll be able to pick a pet." He said "I just told you whole thing…" He groaned softly
Her face lit up and she spun in his arms, looking up at him. "We're getting a pet?" She asked excitedly, hugging him, "Not mad at you anymore to let you know, now I just want to give you a kiss."
He laughed and kissed her cheek. "There. We leave in 20." He said, glancing around
"Alright," She replied, taking a step away from him, "Do we have to meet Strange anywhere specific?"
"I think he's going ding us." He said, lacing her hand with his and walking along the streets
She nodded, a small smile still on her face as she tried to decide what kind of pet they were going to get.
"Have a pet in mind?" he asked, glancing down at her
"No, not yet," She said, shaking her head, "I'm still trying to think of what the best choice would be."
"hmm, well do you have any ideas yet you are trying to choose from?" he asked, and swung their hands as they walked.
"Either a cat or a dog. A cat would be nice because they're usually calm, and a dog because they have a lot of energy." She smiled and watched her hand swing with his happily.
"Cats can also be super energetic." He said and smiled at her.
Her smile grew and she nodded, "Though not usually in the 'go for a walk and chase a ball' way."
