Upon entering the building, it took every ounce of strength Res had to stop her from hunching her shoulders and hugging the walls on her way to the dorm.
Instead she kept her head high, expression open and amiable. She didn't wasn't sure what the… Students here would best respond to.
She weaved between pixies, friends and banshees, and even what she thought she recognised as a Fae. She gave the latter an admiring curious look before moving along, more and more tempted to keep her head down.
(We can ship kaz and Vanca if you want. You know since they've already met? Have the whole enemy's to couple troop?)
Vanca waited for him to say something else, She was paitaint like that. She noticed how he seemed oberwealmed and decided to introduce herself. "I'm Vanca." SHe said dryly, even though she didn't mean for it to sound that way.
"I'm Kaz," he said, rubbing his sweaty palms on his jeans before offering a hand.
(Sounds dope. They could room together, too)
It might've been nerves, but Eric felt like he was going to throw up. He made his way to his room, bumping into several people. Eric fumbled with the key in the lock before throwing the door open, dropping his bags and stumbling to the bathroom. He bent over the sink, and a little bulbous creature fell off of his tongue. It stared at him with little yellow eyes, green poison dripping off its many amorphous limbs, before scurrying down the curve of the sink and squeezing past the drain.
Eric blinked. "What the actual fuck."
Agis slipped into his room, wrinkling his nose in distaste at the mortal decor. "This will not do." He muttered in a heavily accented voice, one almost musical. He snapped his fingers, persuading the decor to change itself into something more tasteful. The carpet became a soft bed of grass, the bed became a canopy one, and the walls were enchanted to look like the night sky.
Res finally broke away from the heaving crowd of youngins, arriving in a corridor which branched off into rooms. Examining the doors, she found her assigned room and, with slight trouble, pushed open the door onto a comfortably furnished room.
(would anyone like to room with Res?)
(i would? if we're allowed to be roomies regardless of gender and sex)
(I say we would be, we are fearless m o n s t e r s after all. It's up to Ich if they're still part of this, idk)
(ok, i mean we get to decide the details ourselves but yeah)
(should we just go for it?)
(someone can room with my asshole.)
Eric spat a mouthful of poison, then wiped his mouth in disgust. He sauntered out of the bathroom and looked around. It really wasn't that bad. The furniture seemed quite sturdy, which made sense, considering how many of the students could probably pick up a desk and throw it.
As soon as Res had shut the door she turned around to see a random guy stride out the bathroom. She froze, taken by surprise. "Oh, hey!"
Eric took a step back, his hand slightly morphing into something shiny and black and clawed - just for a moment. He breathed in and shook it until it went back to normal. "Hi. I'm- Are you my roommate?"
Res nodded, noticing the strange shift but deciding to ignore it. "I am," she said brightly. "Terese Solis. You can call me Res!"
Eric glanced at his right hand to make sure it looked normal, then reached out and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you."
Res nodded her answer. "Same here. Your name is?" she asked, heading to the bed by the wall.
(And my character is all alone…)
(They can come to Agis's room.)
(Okay…)
Adrielle tripped over someone's wings, and darted away before they realized. She wasn't happy that she was here, and in her opinion, there were too many strange beings here.
(Whoops sorry y'all I won't be on much for the next two weeks, but guys and gals can room together! Also since I've done RP's with most of y'all in the past, I've seen you're all quiet responseabul and can make group disicions if I'm not around.
Also yeah kaz and Vanca can room if ya want.)
Vanca shook his hand awkwardly. He already wasn't to found of this monster. After all he did step on her tail. "Well I guess I'll see you around, I have to go find my dorm." She gave a small wave before again slithering away.
Of course he tail got stepped on a few more times as Vanca made her way to her dorm. She wondered who she'd be rooming with. If they where a guy or girl. If they where nice or would make this school year an actual hell.
Adrielle walked into her dorm. No one was there, and she was glad. Her stuff had already been dropped off, and she plopped onto her bed, eyes closed.
Res nodded her answer. "Same here. Your name is?" she asked, heading to the bed by the wall.
"Eric," he answered, slamming his suitcase open at the end of his bed.
Res jumped at the sound, looking down at her own bed. "You excited for the year?" she asked after a moment?" she asked Eric after a pause.
Eric laughed nervously. "That depends on whether I'll be in one piece after the year ends. Or whether I'll manage to leave everyone else in one piece. Which is unlikely, considering how things are currently going."
"Oh?" Res sat on the edge of her bed and studied the boy. "What do you mean?"
He sighed and sat on his own bed. "There seem to be people in this world who have, uh. Abilities. Things that I haven't figured out yet. They go through something horrible and then the powers just…show up. All of a sudden. I thought I didn't have any, but about a month ago-" He hesitated. "I seem to have powers too. And I don't know how to deal with them."
Res sighed sadly. "The control is hardest to get, it's true. I started transforming a couple years ago and that's when it got really bad for me," she admitted. "What's the power you think you have?" she asked curiously.
"I…." Eric grimaced. "I don't really know what it is. I can turn into this- this ugly, shiny, black thing. And parts of me just do it randomly. Also a couple minutes ago…" He made a face. "It's kinda gross."
