Sounds great! So that could be how she meets Rick. Where do you want her to live then? For convenience's sake, I divided up the US into three Regions after the war: Western, Central, and Eastern. The Western Region has managed to preserve the most pre-war tech but there's a lot of fire damage and it's tough to farm there. The Central Regions best for farming, but it's very isolated and Deorns pretty much claimed most of it. The Eastern Region has the highest population, but there are bandits everywhere. Rick can travel anywhere so pick your poison XDD

Aright ^^ So then, maybe (just throwing out ideas here) our plot could be that Charlotte meets Rick and hires him for some reason? He accepts trades and favors as well as money, btw. Or we could have them do something else entirely, idk

@amber_is_in_a_loop

(some more brainstorming) what if while on a job Rick stays at Charlotte's as a guest and she finds out what he does and since his target is a fallen government official and Charlotte wants revenge they team up..
Yours makes sense though cause then she'd owe him something and that'd keep the story going

But we'd need a reason for Charlotte to go with him

Hmm….I like your idea too. Maybe…something happens and Charlotte is forced to leave home? Maybe the place was attacked by bandits or a Deorn or something before or after Rick gets there, and he offers to let her travel with him until she finds somewhere else to live….? Rick's a nice guy so he'd definitely make the offer but I don't know if it's solid enough to carry a plot….

@amber_is_in_a_loop

Ok I don't know if we can do anything with this fact but high chances are Charlotte wouldn't like Rich much because he kills/hurts for people which is essentially what her sister use to do

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Ooof yeah that would definitely be a barrier they'd have to work through XD Sounds like they need something pretty concrete to keep them together, then. What if….he has or knows about something really important to her? Does she have any long-lost friends or family she still cares about?
This is a hard one lol

I like this! She has an enemy, Axel, who would transfer to a military ranked guy. As for friends/family she high-key raised two kids in her story, so we could parallel that somehow?

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Yeah, let's see….could those kids maybe get endangered and she's forced to hire/ask Rick to help her rescue them? If she cares about them that much it makes sense to me that she'd want to go after them herself as well as partner up with a mercenary. And maybe they're even endangered by Axel? Idk you know these guys better than I do XD
(btw I have to go for a while but I'll be back in a couple hours)

Okay! So a mini rundown of the universe- all underage people are cast out of their villages in waves as a sort of survival-of-the-fittest test. They are put in groups composed of 4 people: the Mentor, the Sub (I'm trying to find another name), the Central and the Youngest.
The story I had revolves around 2 Group's:

  1. Charlotte (the Mentor aka leader), Nathan (the Sub aka co-leader), Will (the Central aka the kid to be trained to become Mentor) and then Tess (the Youngest, self-explanatory)
  2. Axel (Mentor), Adele (Sub), Tomas (Central) and Jessie (Youngest)

Quick story now– Charlotte was released the wave before Axel. She'd been assigned to him (I won't go into what that means) but because Charlotte was scrawny he refused to take her and waited for the next wave in which he found Adele ane Tomas (this upset the age balance cause the members of a group have to aged in a decreasing order). Because she was left alone Charlotte was almost mauled to death and was very badly injured. She had to raise Nathan to be Sub (he was released younger-again I won't go into it) while healing and then Will and Tess.

That's really interesting! :o I really like that concept, it gives me all the gritty, angsty feels XDD
If you think there's anything important I should know about the characters that might help us figure out a plot for the rp, I'd be glad to hear it. For example, Axel already sounds like a jerk but is there more to his and Charlotte's enmity? And how can we bend their story to fit the world they're currently in? Stuff like that ^^

OH thank you!

Axel was going to marry Adele when they both got through. But their youngest, Jessie, died, and (I won't go into why) Adele had to commit suicide because of it. The groups came across each other and Charlotte's could've helped Jessie, which Nathan wanted to do since he believed Jessie shouldn't die because of the enmity. Charlotte refused to help (her argument being that Axel risked the lives of all of her group by leaving her) and out of spite he refused Nathan's help, believing Jessie could heal with time (keep in mind the Mentor/Youngest relationship is parental, so Axel essentially lost his daughter, Jessie and quickly after his love, Adele). Axel isn't actually a bad person, but prioritizes survival over everything– the biggest regret of his life is believing Jessie would heal which led to her death. He blames himself for both his girls' deaths which he dealed with by turning it into a drive. Picture an incredibly intelligent, physically able, determined man driven by pain, regret, and hate for himself.

And how can we bend their story to fit the world they're currently in? Stuff like that ^^

Ok so maybe Axel and Charlotte were leading two small military troops (or whatever you call it ^^) near one another and she got injured and instead of staying back to help her lead her troop back he left early.
