Loki wasn't sure who to choose "Umm…Either. I mean which is your preference?"
Loki wasn't sure who to choose "Umm…Either. I mean which is your preference?"
The coated figure in the Arena turned to Hinata.
“Finally active?”
The viscount thought about it for a moment.
“Absoul might be fun…” he said, putting the tablet back where it was and guiding Loki to Absoul’s room.
Tolkalee paced about, he was still holding a little wooden heart in his right hand. He looked like he was talking softly to it, but from a distance one couldn't be sure. He definitely seemed distraught.
The coated figure turned to Tolkalee.
“You two’ve been through a lot huh?”
Tolkalee glanced up at him. "Me and who? Hinata?"
The coated figure raised a brow.
“Is there anyone else?”
"Well, there was Adara, and Loki, a little bit ago," Tolkalee shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure where they went though."
“Forget about them, who the hell would care for someone they barely know… ‘cause by the time you start trusting them, that’s the time they’ll stab you from behind” the coated figure said whilst walking to the Grand Piano.
"Well, that's a cheery thought." Hinata stood up. She stretched, and sipped some tea.
From the dark hallways, a humming sound can be heard. It slowly got louder, though not loud enough for the coated figure to hear but just enough for Hinata and Tolkalee to hear.
Hinata glanced up.
"Um, what's that?" She didn't think this could be good.
The humming sound didn’t stop. The sound was one that was on pitch and pleasant to the ears. Someone was in the hallway around the Arena and there’s no telling whether they’re on which side other than to find them.
Loki nodded following the viscount "So character warning?"
The viscount, Isaac, laughed a little at what Loki said.
“He’s a lot of fun, I’ll tell you that” he said before opening the door to the secretary’s room.
Inside the room, strong currents of wind were blown in almost every direction and a figure can be seen hovering as the winds carry him. He saw the two people come in. The winds stopped and the figure landed softly on the ground.
“You must be the visitor, correct?” The figure in the black suit asked.
Hinata tried to pinpoint where the sound was coming from.
"Do neither of you two hear it?"
The coated figure turned to Hinata.
“Hear what?”
"That- humming." Hinata could tell it sounded pleasant, but it sent chills down her back. She needed to know if it were friend or foe.
The coated figure laughed a little but he raised a brow.
“Humming? Are you sure you’re not hearing things?”
"Honestly, I don't know anymore." Hinata rubbed her forehead.
The humming stopped…
Do you trust your ears…?
What is that you hear…?
Come on, ask the lights…
There’s nothing to be feared…
Are you lost or scared…?
A trusted one or a dare…?
Come on in the dark…
Let’s see what’s in there…
The poem echoed into Hinata’s ears and her ears only. It was more like a song than a normal poem. The rhythm was perfect, the tone was on point and the accent of the person was melodious.
Hinata's head shot up. She didn't know what to do, but she knew she had to do something.
The sound went silent for sometime… before the poem repeated itself. It sounded almost the same as the first time.
"yes i am and i hope you don't mind demons here" Loki chuckled
The secretary looked confused.
“You do realize… that you are in the equivalent of hell in the Labyrinth… right?” he wanted to make sure.
Hinata looked around, trying to see if there was someone else in the room. She knew she was the only one reacting to the poem, so she didn't mention it. If the others heard it, they could bring it up.
"huh i could have guessed that must be why i'm so comfortable" Loki chuckled
Tolkalee looked over at the newcomer, then at Hinata. She seemed uneasy.
The song stopped, it turned to a melody instead. The tone was played on a… harp or possible a lyre. Either way, it was very pleasant to the ear.
The secretary smiled a little bit.
“Anyway, I’m Absoul Pilot, one of Lord Script’s four secretaries and also the one holding the keys to his rooms” the man introduced himself.
Loki bowed "nice to meet you and i'm sure Lychan would like to meet you too"
Lychan formed from Loki's shadow "OHMYGOD IT'S AMAZING HERE!!"
The secretary jumped a little when Lychan came to reality.
“Ah, a shadow, that’s nice. Anyways, this is the key to his storage, that’s the only place I can let you in and you…” the secretary pointed to the viscount as he handed Loki the key. “We need to have a talk. The storage room is upstairs, the second room from the right. Enjoy your stay” the secretary said before he and the viscount walked away.
