@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial breathed a sigh of relief. Oh thanks the gods. Sorry to worry you, we had a little bit of trouble and uh, got held help. We're on the other side of the lake.

Do not swim back!! Bernon added urgently before they lost connection. Take a boat! Sitting up, he let out a long breath in an attempt to relax. "Well. So much for doing something relaxing to save our energy for tomorrow, amiright? Let's get inside."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial chuckled and nodded, groaning as she stood up, "Well, looks like we're going to have to walk all the way round the lake since we don't have a boat."
(All good, seeya soon!)

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(oooh, nice new profile pic! ^^)
"Oh jeez. This lake's huge!" Bernon slumped, staring at the foggy distance of the other shore. "No, I refuse. This could take all night." Frowning, he thought hard for a minute, then straightened. "I know. You see that part of the shore right next to here, the part that turns into a cliff? Let's walk just to that point, then use it to launch off and fly the rest of the way. We should be back in no time if we do that, and anyway I need the practice. Fair enough?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Danke :) I was sick of looking at myself lmao)
Tanrial raised a brow, looking over to where Bernon meant before she shrugged and nodded, "All right, I don't see why not. I feel like it's been forever since I've flown."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(lol I get that feeling XD And flowers are always a good choice I think)
"Same here." Bernon started walking,leading them along the shore towards the cliffs. "I don't think I've flown since….the last time we ha a training session, way back before we attacked Ryker's base. But I pretty much remember the basics. You know, it's too bad Mike doesn't have wings too….then we could all fly to the west coast in, like, a matter of days. But I guess there's no point in wishing for it, and I really don't think it would be fun to try and carry him the whole way."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(I have a slight obsession with them atm, I did a painting the other day just of flowers but I love it)
Tanrial snorted, falling into step next to Bernon, "I mean we could share the load and you carry him for a few hours then I do. Kinda like a piggy-back ride or a dragon. But I feel like Mike would hate us."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(nice! Ah man I should do some painting, sounds fun >w<)
"Probably, yeah. And I'm barely practiced enough to carry my own weight, let alone someone else's." Bernon paused and glanced at the stunted trees beside them as he heard some birds calling out in alarm. "I sure hope there aren't any bandits on this side of the lake. Maybe we should keep our voices down, just in case."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Time consuming and infuriating are other words for it - hot tip, don't paint butterflies)
She nodded a little, "Fair enough. I doubt there is though. We would have seen or heard them by now I think." They came to the edge of the cliff and Tanrial peered over the edge, "Think we're high enough?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(lol okay, duly noted xD)
"I think so…." Bernon spread his wings, trying to make sure all his pockets were buttoned up so nothing fell out. "The wind seems pretty strong and steady, so that should help. I bet if we jump off the cliff, then circle a bit to gain altitude, we should be able to let the breeze carry us most of the way back. Ready?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial stretched her own wings out, rolling her shoulders, "Sounds good, try not to fight the wind too much, otherwise you'll end up crashing into the lake and that's the last thing we want. On three. One.. two.. three!"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Bernon leaped off the cliff, trying not to swoop down too close to the water before catching the wind and rising back up. "Okay, he called, circling to get his bearings. "I'm up. Man, you can see everything from this spot. Although I tell you what, if we see another shipwreck or something in the water, I am not going down to investigate this time."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial chuckled, letting herself be lifted slightly above Bernon a few moments later so they didn't hit each other and send the other hurtling into the lake, "I wouldn't ask you too. At least we could tell Polla and the other how many shipwrecks they're living above. But gosh the view is amazing."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Yeah….." Bernon admired the sky and land all around them with a smile. "I prefer it way up here. There's barely anything to worry about, besides rogue air currents and maybe a territorial bird or two. I can't believe how regularly I forget I can fly, especially considering how much I enjoy it."
(I have to go to work, so I probably won't be on again until tomorrow, sry)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(All good, see you tomorrow - stay safe)
Tanrial hummed softly, flying slightly higher so she could touch the clouds above them, "Me too, honestly. I guess with everything going on it isn't something we really should be thinking about. Although it'll come in handy for scouting and such as we travel west."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(Thanks ^^)
"True. That could be pretty fun." Bernon inhaled deeply, admiring the way the shadows of the clouds dappled over the lake and the nearby hills. "You know, it just occurred to me….we've been calling Snatch a forest beast this whole time, but she has wings like us, and none of her kind do—not that I've seen anyway. Do you think there's such a think as an…..air beast? A sky beast?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

(So this will probably be the last time I'm active at this particular time for a while. School starts up again Monday so I should be getting a good amount of sleep and I probs won't have my laptop in my room either)
Tanrial thought about it for a moment, blowing a handful of clouds down to Bernon, "It's certainly possible. If there's water and forest beasts, why not have sky ones? Although I haven't seen any before, only birds and other strange flying creatures."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

(Okay, thanks for letting me know! Good luck with school, fam!)
"Yeah…..maybe they're more rare or something. And the poor kid's an orphan, so she won't ever quite get the parenting she was supposed to get. But on the bright side, Rick and Fear seem like they'll do a great job of raising her in their own way. She just might have to be self-taught when it comes to flying."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(lol thanks :) I'm doing half online/actual schooling so idk how active I'll be but I'll reply when I can)
"Hm, that's true. Or who knows, maybe after we're gone she'll find a friend who also knows how to fly and they can teach her. We dunno what's gonna happen, nothing is set in stone these days."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial snorted, "Bernon, you're not going to squish anyone. We can see for miles and I'm sure you'll see someone bellow you and dodge them easily. But, beach it is." She followed him down, gently gliding down and slowing when they were landing, making sure they were out of anyone's way to prevent potential injury.

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Bernon landed with a decent amount of grace and balance on the sandy ground, only stumbling and awkwardly flapping a little bit to avoid falling on his face. Folding his wings, he made them disappear with some concentration and started off towards the tavern. "Okay, let's go find Mike and tell him what happened. Knowing him, he's probably all worried and getting ready to dive into the lake to look for us by now."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Her own landed was less then graceful and more awkward then anything as to avoid Bernon but Tanrial couldn't care less. Her wings folded and disappeared in a matter of seconds and she fell into step with Bernon, "Probably. Or he's pacing around the tavern and mumbling to himself about how stupid we are."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Bernon chuckled. "I bet he's doing both." Walking up the wooden stairs and along the dock, he got the tavern door for Tanrial and let them both inside.
Mike was indeed pacing back and forth at the far end of the room, talking restlessly with the bartender. The minute he saw Bernon and Tanrial enter, he straightened and walked quickly over to them. "There you are. What in the heck happened to you two? How did you dive straight down into the lake and end up on the opposite shore a minute later? Are you okay?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial smiled, patting Mike on the shoulder, "Glad to see you're concerned. We should have placed a bet Bernon on whether he was pacing," She gestured to a nearby table, "How about we sit and explain?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Mike did so, frowning. "Okay….I guess neither of you are injured, that I can see."
"We're not," Bernon promised, sitting down as well. "We just found a shipwreck at the bottom of the lake that had a bunch of monsters in it."
"What?" Mike glanced at the two of them. "What kind of monsters?"
