Lata felt her cheeks begin to burn a bit. This was her soul mate. She was at least glad that he was polite. People without manners really ticked her off.

Mila smiled. "Nice question. I'd ask for… a cabin by a lake, a chef and a full scholarship to [amazing uni name ^^']."
“I’d love to live next to a lake.” She smiled. “I’d wish for one of those house-boats, my own little art studio, and…….” She cleared her throat, looking away. “I’d wish for my brother back.”, Morrigan whispered.
That hit home for Mila. "I wouldn't have wished for my mother back. She hated life."
Morrigan swallowed. So do I. Except now., she almost said. “I’m sorry for your loss.”, she said meaningfully. “My brother didn’t— my brother was killed.”
Mila grimaced empathetically. "What happened?"
