Ava got straight up and walked to a table. Finn hesitated a little but poppy, who was put down next to the counter, grabbed his hand and tried to get him to go to a table. he gave in and they both sat down at the same table as Ava.
"What show?" Finn asked.
"Why, the dinner show! You think a kid's diner could go without one?" Hinata smiled.
Finn smiled at her to seem polite but he glanced at poppy nervously. He tested a quick spell of light under the table to see if it would work. (would outside magic work here)
(Definitely)
Hinata noticed Finn's use of the spell but didn't let it show in any way.
Finn was happy to see that a small ball of light was in his hand. he stopped the spell and looked back up and around the room.
There were several families seated in different booths, laughing and smiling. A red-curtained stage sat on the opposite side, with unlit spotlights aimed at it.
Finn had no clue how he didn't notice the other people before. he glanced at poppy and then the other girl beside him but neither of them looked fazed. Ava ate her pizza. Finn had almost forgotten about it. he picked up the slice and took a bite.
Hinata made her way to a well-hidden door, which had a label saying: Back Rooms. She slipped in. Soon after this, the curtains fluttered. The lights dimmed, and the soft spotlights turned on. The curtains slowly slid open. A woman with dark skin and blonde hair stood on stage. She had a yellow and white outfit on. She had bear ears, and a small bear tail.
"Hello all, and welcome to Sun's Shadow! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!"
Finn sat at the edge of his seat but both Poppy and Ava listened and relaxed.
Another woman and a man joined the first onstage. They had dirty blonde hair and cat ears and tails. They both had a shirt on that said: Eat! The woman had on a skirt, and the man had a puff jacket. They took their positions onstage; the woman picked up a guitar, and the man sat down at a drum set. They broke into a song about summer days and sleepy nights.
Finn continued to eat and actually enjoyed the music. So did Ava and Poppy. Ava's never heard anything like it. sure some of the other chosen liked to sing but she's never seen a guitar in real life before.
Several of the other kids sang along for the chorus:
Summer days
sleepy nights
life is much more fun
during summer days
and sleepy nights
no more tears
during summer days
and sleepy nights
Poppy sang along. Finn had no clue how she knew the song but he didn't stop her. Ava was to scared to sing but she continued to listen.
The band finished the song. The other kids went wild.
"Thanks, guys! I'm Goldie," said the bear woman.
"I'm Katy," said the cat woman.
"And I'm CK," said the cat man.
"And we are Sun's Kiss!" The said in unison.
Finn, Poppy, and Ava clapped. Ava and Finn looked a little confused with the animal people hybrid but they did just appear in a diner.
The band struck up another song, this one about parties and Saturdays. Suddenly, Hinata appeared by the group's bench. At first, she hadn't been there; then, she was leaning on an empty chair. She tapped her foot along to the beat.
Ava and finn jumped when Hinata suddenly appeared. they glanced at her and then back at the stage.
Saturday
so far away
but soon is here
and we party
party
party!
Weekends been rest
from the rest of the days!
The band soon finished up. Hinata clapped with the children.
All three of them clapped. Poppy clapped the loudest. she turned to Hinata with a large smile. "i loved it!"
Hinata smiled and took a small bow.
"I write them all myself."
(Thanks!)
Adrielle slipped in, unnoticed by the people. She smiled at the music. She hadn't heard anything like it for years.
(May I…? I really need somewhere to drop some of my other boys XD)
(You will always be welcomed in one of my rps!)
(Like I’ve said, 83 characters XD. Also, thanks!)
Scar walked in through the entrance with headphones on. He noticed that some people were already in the place so he took his headphones off and rested them on his shoulder.
Scar sat down at an empty table, looking around at the smiling guests and that made him feel calm. He turned to the ones on the stage specifically.
"They're good, aren't they?" Adrielle said to the newcomer.
Scar giggled a little.
“Well, I’m not used to this kind of music but of course, I’m open for anything new” he took out a small notebook from his messenger bag and wrote something.
