forum So, don't know if anyone wants to do this, but a Mortal Engines based rp? (Open, one-on-one most likely)

“I need some of your tools, I’m going to try to get to the wires in the center of your leg if there is any, if not, I’ll try something else.” She said, looking around for some tools to start testing if she was right.

@gracehustle

She got up and waved her hand absentmindedly, "I won't." Grabbing a few tools she knew she needed, she headed back to the couch to start.

@gracehustle

"I don't think I'm going to mess with your leg that much," She replied, holding back a small laugh as she started on the task of first figuring out where the best spot to start was and going from there.

Alex leaned over and picked up a screwdriver. He fiddled with a few screws over his knee cap and it popped open, revealing the mechanics inside, "Good, but it's nice to see someone interested in mechanics."

@gracehustle

Jemma nodded in response, already too caught up in finding out how his leg worked to actually answer him. She started her work right away, careful to not break or move anything too much unless she needed to.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex had to suppress his grin when he looked down at Jemma. It was nice to see someone so interested in something. Not many people pursued their interests down here.

@gracehustle

(Sry about the late response, I thought I had already responded)
Her head was dipped towards his knee as she went through the parts in his leg, a triumphant smile appearing on her face when she found what she was looking for. A set of wires, running through his leg to the joints and splitting off to move or tell the parts when to move.

@gracehustle

“Wires,” She replied simply, tilting her head back up to look at them, “And they look like exactly what I expected to find.”

@gracehustle

She smiled and nodded towards his leg, "Mind if I keep looking? It's been too long since I've seen something that's this intricate."

@gracehustle

Immediately she went back to looking with a nod of thanks, her focus now on the different parts that helped his leg move instead of the wiring.

@gracehustle

She continued studying his leg, messing with bits of the mechanics and hoping it didn't do anything that couldn't be reversed.

@gracehustle

Jemma giggled when his foot twitched and watched it for a moment with a tiny smile, forgetting Alex was even there.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex didn't comment and stayed still, smiling softly down at her. another wire had his leg bending just a little before straightening out.

@ElderGod-Carrots

From there you could finally see the pulsing, blue battery that most of the wires were connected too. It was a fairly big size, and glowed brightly.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Alex looked from his hand to the leg to her and nodded, "Yeah, it is. There's more over there if you want to look closer at them." He nodded to the table.

@gracehustle

"Can I?" She asked, looking to the other batteries then down to the one in his leg, "I've only seen batteries like this once, and I didn't get to see it close up."

@gracehustle

Setting the tools down next to his leg, she stood up and walked over to the batteries. “How often do you have to change these out?” She asked, picking one up and studying it as she walked back to where she was before.
