Matthew turned his head and stared blankly at the ground.
“Cassius’ gone……?” He asked the other Knights as they slowly nodded.
Matthew turned his head and stared blankly at the ground.
“Cassius’ gone……?” He asked the other Knights as they slowly nodded.
"No, I want you to suffer," Tolkalee crouched down next to Nis. "I only wish I could make you suffer more." He then stood up still looking down at him. "It's like I told that other hunter. I'm not the hero. I'm a monster."
Hinata realized she had been a bit blunt.
Aisen though about it for a moment. “Well I died 11 years ago and worked as a Knight for 9 years and 9 months. Oh sorry, I’ve been here for 11 years” he answered and laughed nervously.
Nis laughed under his breath.
“Don’t say that…” he managed to speak out.
“No one’s fully a hero and no one’s fully a monster. They both live within us…it’s just which one’s in control…” he said before he fainted.
"That sucks."
Tolkalee twisted his dagger so it was facing down. Then he plunged it into Nis' throat.
“It really sucks” Aisen corrected.
Matthew knelt down slightly. Cronos held him up. “C’mon buddy, we just have to deal with it”
"Remember when we first met?" Adara said, fire dancing on her palm. She watched it, eyes glowing. "You were wearing your dumb fox mask, and burning up the village. And while everyone ran, I stayed."
Aisen smiled.
“What, you missed the fox mask, the part where I burnt the village…” he shifted closer to her and looked her in the eyes. “Or the fact that we ended up here together?”
Adara watched him carefully. "Well, then, you gave me my own mask, like yours," she said softly. "I still have it."
Aisen actually smiled happily… for the first time.
“That just shows that you care about me, at least a little” he turned to Adara.
Nis’ body soon disintegrated, leaving an artifact which reads…
Eclipse
She gave a small smile. "Why would I care about you of all people?"
Aisen giggled.
“I can’t answer that, maybe your heart can…?” He jokingly said.
(I’m shipping them…so hard right now…)
Hinata stayed silent; she didn't think she should take anymore.
After he pulled his dagger out of Nis' throat, Tolkalee cleaned it off and sheathed it. Waiting for Nis to disintegrate. Afterwards he would go join the others. Tolkalee realized with a sigh that he looked like a massive mess. His back still hurt from his wounds there. His wrist was dripping blood. His hoodie was ripped and bloody. He had a small line of blood coming from his brow that was dripping off his chin.
Adara flushed, but grinned. "You can't talk to my heart… can you?"
(I'm fangirling slightly right now.)
Matthew swallowed his tears as he didn’t want to look weak in front of Hinata.
“Let’s just go back…” he said with a shaking voice. He stood up and weakly walked towards the fields. Cronos had to sigh. “He’s devastated…”
“Of course he is, his best friend just died” Chris added, following Matthew.
Aisen’s eyes flashed caduceuses like his brother. This was new to him as Cassius transferred his aura pool to Aisen’s body.
“Perhaps…?” He smiled and laughed a little.
Picking up the artifact using a cloth, Tolkalee wrapped it up and put it in his satchel. Then he turned and began limping back towards the room the others had been in.
She laughed and hit him. "You jerk."
(They’re fricking adorable, I-I just can’t…)
Aisen backed away as he giggled.
“I’m sorry, I had to” he was very happy.
(I swear, if one of them dies…)
"Did you?" Ada's voice was low, playful. "I didn't know that you were being forced to."
“Forced to? To what?” Aisen was confused.
(Don’t worry, Aisen’s my love child. He won’t die… probably…)
(And that probably just made me sad.)
She sighed, shaking her head. "You're a bit thick sometimes, ya know." She grinned. "I was saying that I didn't know you had to do your weird power thing."
“Oh…” he giggled “Sorry I didn’t catch that” he joking apologized. “Well, it’s not that I had to but it was better if I did it…” he touched his eyes with his hand. “This is the only thing left of him…” he reminded himself of Cassius.
Adara's playful mood dimmed. She placed a gentle hand on his arm, not saying anything. She would probably mess it up, anyways.
Hinata walked along, glancing every now and then at Matthew.
I was too blunt…
The group in the Paradise of the Soul Garden arrived back at the portal.
Aisen laughed it off.
“It’s sad sure…I won’t be able to forget him sure…but whatever’s in the past, I’ve got to leave in the past…” he turned back to Adara.
“As for now…” he pulled Adara closer to him and pecked her softly on the cheek.
