Daesyn came downstairs and frowned, "what was that scream? I could year or all the way in my room." She asked
"I'm not moving from this couch and you can't make me!" Cyd called back.
Maeve leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. "I'm imagining this. This isn't real. This is a dream," she whispered faintly.
Daesyn walked to where Envy and Pride were "who is this?" She asked
Maeve's eyes opened quickly. More? There's more?
"I don't really know either. Apparently she lives here. She seems nice enough." Pride explained to Daesyn and brought out a glass of water to Maeve. "Hey, are you okay? Here, come sit." Pride guided Maeve to the couch and they both sat down. Pride was fully prepared to take on the therapist role here, grabbing a notepad and pen sitting on a table nearby. "Okay, what's going on? Hit me with your problems." Pride pointed at Maeve. "Go."
Maeve blinked, looking from the water in her hand to Pride. "What?" she asked quietly.
"There's obviously something wrong with you, sweetie. You're holding your head and talking to yourself and all that jazz. That outfit I hung up is yours, by the way. I already have a duplicate myself. How did you find out you live here? That's an important first question," Pride asked, skipping from subject to subject like usual.
Maeve tried to keep up with the speed of Pride's talking. "Uh, I-I bought it."
"Oh love, no one comes to this house. It's been empty for centuries. How is it that you were suddenly assigned to this place?" Lust asked in a mock sorrowful voice
"Assigned?" Maeve breathed quietly. "What are you talking about?"
Cyd watched from where he still lounged on the other couch, gaze darting back and forth between the strange girl and the other Sins talking to her. A small smirk settled across his lips.
Lust came to sit beside the girl, brushing stray hairs out of her face. She looked at the girl "you darling child. When was the last time we had a visitor like this one here?" She asked the other
Maeve couldn't think of anything to say. She just stared at Lust with her mouth dropped open slightly in confusion.
"You have any proof you live here? That would help sway me." Pride held out her hand, waiting for a deed… something!
"I-I don't have it on me," Maeve mumbled shyly.
'That's… alright. We going to find a room for her?" Pride turned her head side to side, trying to catch the eyes of another helpful Sin.
Cyd held up his hands. "I ain't sharing, and this ain't my problem."
"Guest room maybe? That could work," Pride suggested.
"It could. But we might want to inform Wrath about the change-up."
"That will be fun. I vote Envy for this job. Or Sloth. Actually, go Sloth. HEY! UP YOU GO!" Pride yelled at Sloth who was lounging around as always. Pride didn't have much time for Sloth, as Pride was always doing something. She couldn't handle the feeling of being stagnant.
(Cyd is lounging as well)
(Now she's grumpy at both of you. Lol)
(Lmao)
Maeve blinked, a bit startled at the commotion she'd caused. "I-I can just sleep on the couch here, if there's a problem."
"I'm not doing anything you tell me to do!" Sloth growled back, wishing that everyone would just leave so he could take a nap.
Lust sighed "come now, we shouldn't fight, someone needs to get Wrath, and I'd rather not be the one." She mumbled
"Not it, " Cyd says. He'd rather not be on the receiving end of Wrath's, well, wrath.
"You know what? I'll do it. Don't worry your pretty little head, my new friend. Sloth, you're welcome." Pride marched up to Wrath in the kitchen, ready to deliver the news.
